About this mod

This is an extension for the FallUI Item Sorter (FIS) that tags and sorts many of Vtaw's clothing mods into new categories and adds some new icons to them. You can use the Complex Sorter or the RobCo Patcher for easy tagging.

Changelogs
This mod adds new categories for many of the clothing mods made by Vtaw and sorts all the clothing into them by adding tags with the Complex
Sorter or the RobCo Patcher. Also has an option to remove the Vtaw WDX prefix from the clothing names.

Most of the clothing has been sorted into categories based on what set and wardrobe they belong to (the nun or vampire set from wardrobe 8, for
example), while the rest have been sorted into categories such as shoes/pants, dresses/corsets and so on.

You can customize it all to your liking by editing the XMLs if you don't like the way I've sorted things or if you just want to add new categories. More on that below.

If you use DonEb14n's clothing mods, I have also made a sorting mod for them: FIS - DonEb14n Clothing Sorting. The clothing previews in the screenshots are from my Vtaw Wardrobe Preview Meshes mod.

Requirements

One of these:

And at least one of the Vtaw clothing mods listed below in the spoiler.

How to get it to work

Complex Item Sorter

  • Download and install the Complex Sorter and then start it with FO4Edit. There is installation instructions on the CS mod page if you need help with this.
  • Make sure my CS plugin Vtaw Clothing Tags (and any other plugins you'd like to use) is enabled.
  • Then just click generate patch and wait for it to finish.

RobCo Patcher

For the RobCo Patcher to work, the only thing you need to do is install it and its requirements.

Compatibility

Next-Gen Update

Tested my mod with the new update and I could not get it to work. FO4Edit (which the Complex Sorter requires) shows a fatal error when trying to start it with the new update. The RobCo Patcher is a script extender mod and will likely also need to be updated to work with the new version of Fallout 4.

Compacting FormIDs for ESL

The RobCo Patcher .inis will not work if you have compacted the FormIDs to flag Vtaw's mods as ESLs.

Other Complex Sorter plugins

Might be some conflicts. It seems to work well with Complex Item Sorter Enhancements and ECO.

Installing in an existing save

You might need to drop the clothing on the floor and pick it up again so it can be updated with the new icons and tags. Or you could use a mod such as ESP Explorer to add the clothing to your inventory again.

FIS - DonEb14n Clothing Sorting

There are some files that might conflict. They are the same, so it doesn't really matter. There is an option in the FOMOD to not install the IconLib. swf and XMLs if you are already using my other sorting mod.

Vtaw Wardrobe Integrated

There is support for Vtaw Wardrobe integrated with Gunners Raiders and Settlers (Complex Sorter only)

Quick Change Armor (QCA)

Requires a little workaround to work with this mod:

  • Go to FIS - The NEW FallUI Item Sorter/Interface/ItemSorter and open the FIS (FallUI Item Sorter) XML file here.
  •  Copy and paste all the tags from my XML VtawWDTags below the <tagsiconLibraryFile line in m8r98a4f2's XML and then it should work.

Instead of editing the original FIS XML, it would probably be better to make a copy of it, create a new mod with it and then just let it overwrite m8r98a4f2's XML.

Load order

If you use FIS - DonEb14n Clothing Sorting

The load order for these two mods doesn't matter. The files are the same.

If you use Quick Change Armor

Place my sorting mods below that mod and let them overwrite its XML.

How to customize it to your liking

(This is optional) It is pretty easy to do this by editing the XML file. Let's say you want to create a new category with your favorite Vtaw clothing from wardrobe 5 and 6 and have it sorted at the top for this example:

  • Go to FIS - Vtaw Clothing Sorting > Interface > ItemSorter > FIS > Categories.Addons.
  • Open the VtawWDCategories XML with a text editor and copy/paste something like this:

<taggroup id="Vtaw6-5" icontag="mkh97Ring" name="« Favorite Vtaw WD 6-5 outfit»"
tags="VtawWD6AccLipRight,VtawWD6AccLipLeft,VtawWD6AccLipAll,VtawWD5LongGloves"/>

  • Add the tags for the clothing you'd like to show up in your category. You can find all the tags in the VtawWDTags XML.
  • Scroll down to the bottom and copy/paste the taggroup ID you've chosen here:

taggroups="Vtaw6-5,

  • If you want the new category to also show up in the container tab, just do exactly the same for the <container> listed below taggroups.

Now you have a new category with the liprings from wardrobe 6 and the gloves from wardrobe 5 at the top. The name is what it will be called in the pipboy and the icontag is what icon it will use. You can find the names of the icons in my IconLib XML.

You can check out m8r98a4f2's guide FIS - How to Modify And Extend for some more examples.
