Another modder's go at a bridge to solve Ye Olde Spectacle Island Connection Problem. This one was developed with "You And What Army" in mind, which means it's pretty wide.

Another day, another modder's attempt at fixing Ye Olde Spectacle Island Connection Problem, AKA "How in the god damn do settlers not die of radiation poisoning while swimming there?"

In all seriousness though, this mod differs from all of the other mods that do the same thing by taking a pretty straight path to Spectacle Island, as well as actually being pretty wide. This allows for patrols from the mods You and What Army - More Minutemen Patrols by Glitchfinder, and You And What Army - But It's Other Factions by rylasasin to actually decide to take the bridge all the way there and not fall off or push eachother off. It's wide enough for multiple large patrols to fit, as well as gives enough room for big robots like Sentry Bots.

Deleted navmeshes are all taken care of, and I've tested it quite a bit, too. I can say it works pretty well! Precombines around the bridge and at Warwick Homestead are broken however...

There's a file for each bridge, one from The Castle to Spectacle Island, and one from Warwick Homestead to Spectacle Island. I wasn't able to combine the bridges into one plugin, so each bridge is a separate file. If you want both, you'll have to get both files. That's okay though, because they're both ESL-flagged ESPs, meaning they won't count towards the max plugin limit!

The bridges themselves actually use meshes from Clean Shacks, so they have a newly built/pre-war look. Since this is the case, you might want to wait until you retake The Castle or beat the main quest, since it wouldn't really make much sense for the bridges to look the way they do, unless they were built recently. I can provide a version of each file that uses the regular wood scrap-type look if enough people want it. (Just released it!) However, the bridge still has concrete supports going down to the sea-floor, meaning it would really only make sense for it to have been built pre-war, or post-war by people with the resources and know-how to have scuba suits/oxygen tanks for building it and all that.

I've also made a patch for use with the v3.0 update of You and What Army - More Minutemen Patrols. Let me explain:

You see, one of the things v3.0 of You and What Army - More Minutemen Patrols changed is the pathing logic of patrols between settlements. In v3.0 the patrols actually spawn from (And path towards) each settlement's Center Marker. This means that the patrols coming from Warwick Homestead won't actually use the bridge, since the Center Marker isn't close enough to it, even though I've set the new navmesh to priority pathing. Instead, they'll get stuck on the shoreline, or even just decide to swim. What this patch does is move the Warwick Homestead Settlement Center Marker closer towards the entrance of the bridge (While still being close enough to the actual center of the settlement so attackers won't stand idle, far outside your settlement), so patrollers will actually decide to use it, instead of not at all.

This patch will also be needed for You And What Army - But It's Other Factions by rylasasin, but only if they decide to update it to reflect the v3.0 changes of the original mod.
