Q: What does Munitions do? A: Please read the description.
Q: Does Munitions change vanilla weapons to use Munitions ammo? A: No. If you just install Munitions and nothing else, no changes will be made to any vanilla weapons, nor will you find any Munitions ammo out in the world. That is intentional and by design. You will need patches and/or other mods to take advantage of Munitions' ammo roster.
Q: Will there be any other ammo types added? A: Yep! I'm currently working on Munitions 1.3 which will likely be the last major update that adds ammo types. So far, I plan to add the following:
14mm
.500 Express
.25 ACP
4 gauge shells
8 gauge shells
Arrows
Crossbow bolts
Needler cartridges
Fission battery
Darts
Potentially a few additional energy types using the vanilla fusion cell mesh (still on the fence on this, these may be implemented as material swaps as a modder's resource and not a full fledged ammo type).
Q: Can you add X ammo type? A: It's a lot of work to create assets and balance a new ammo type appropriately so that it blends in seamlessly into the vanilla game. As a result, I don't take any ammo type requests.
Q: Is Munitions out on Xbox? A:YES.ElfUnstoppable has ported Munitions along with the Vanilla Ammo Addon and the Reduced Ammo Patch to Xbox! Links can be found here:
Q: Do I have to use all of the ammo included? A: Nope! Munitions is the only ammo mod that gives players the choice of what they want added to their game.
Q: Can you make a patch for X mod? A: No, I don't take patch requests.
Q: How do I patch weapons for Munitions? A: Please see this article for a step-by-step walkthrough to patching any weapon to use Munitions ammo.
Q: Does this work with sorting mods such as FIS, VIS, etc.? A: I don't use any sorting mods, so I can't accurately answer that question. In theory it should work just fine, but you may need a patch for certain tags to appear correctly. I cannot and will not provide any patches, though.
Q: Do I need a patch for all of my weapon mods, even if they don't need Munitions? A: No, you'll only need patches for weapons that you want to use Munitions with. Check the official patch repository (linked in the Description) as well as the other mods I've uploaded. I have patched a number of weapon mods and released "unofficial updates" to others- many of them offering Munitions integration.
Q: Can I use Munitions with other ammo mods like Caliber Complex, Armament, etc.? A: I would strongly advise against doing so. You're going to run into conflicts and may experience weird/inconsistent behavior.
Q: Can I install this on an existing game? A: Yes! Munitions is perfectly safe to install and use on an existing save.
Q: My game is crashing. Help! A: I have extensively tested Munitions and have never encountered a CTD. Make sure you are using the latest version. If you are still encountering issues, it is likely a load order issue. I can try to help, but you'll need to first provide a Buffout log as well as your full load order.
Q: I have X patch installed, but it doesn't appear to be working. Help! A: 99% of the time, this is caused by a load order problem. You likely have another mod overriding the Munitions patches. Check your load order in XEdit and see what is conflicting.
I asked this question in ECO REDUX mod's posts page, and ask it here too, because it has do to with ECO REDUX and MUNITIONS - Ammo Expansion Project. I solved the problem with Wrye Bash error (look in 'spoiler'), but after had to re-install MUNITIONS and ECO REDUX; the issue is back. Wrye Bash does not build the Bashed Patch, 0.ESP patch. It stops when it shows Dank_ECO-Mutions.ESP error message.
Here is my comment in Equipment and Crafting Overhaul ECO REDUX mod's Posts page 82nd page, from 06 March 2025):

Fallout 4. Version 1.10.163.0. GOTY. GOG. The game is not downgraded, and I have no mods related to 'downgrade'. And no mods for so called 'NewGen' (1.10.980+) installed. ALL mods are for *.163- (BEFORE NewGen).

07 March 2025, 5:25AM I THINK that I got it to work. I just 'think' that it had to do with this: FO4EDIT showed errors with "DANK_ECO-MUnitions.esp" after sorting whole plugins. I then started FO4EDIT Quick Clean, let it auto clean this plugin. Started Wrye Bash... et voilà, it worked!
Sorry I did not know how to copy-paste the message properly.
let's see if i get it right: only the ammo that i need is enabled ? like if i have a mod that add a weapon that needs EC Pack only the EC pack will be in game ?
+1 to this. Can't find any answers to this (maybe I'm blind, I'm only skimming) and I am consistently having crashes with Munitions in my updated saves. And it's definitely Munitions causing it, when it's not installed it's not crashing. So I'm gonna guess no? Unless maybe I have it installed wrong and/or there's an incompatibility I'm not aware of
EDIT: I feel stupid that I didn't try this first, but I retract my previous statement. After watching a couple new mod videos from DegenerateDak (makes great guns, check him out if you haven't), I saw he is still using Munitions to add ammo types for his guns, so figured SOMETHING must be wrong. Triple checked the instructions to make sure I had it installed correctly, and did in fact have it after LIF and had it in the right order, so that wasn't it. Created a new character, and that seemed to fix it. Not entirely sure why- the save I've been using to test is right out of the Vault, but I have been uninstalling and reinstalling problem mods on that save, so I guess somehow this messed it up. Haven't tested it out too extensively, but from brief testing- yes, this will work with Fallout 4 version 1.10.984, and like you should do if you are updating the game, start on a fresh save. Will let you know if it stops working again! Also, RobCo Patcher is (I believed) updated and currently working with 1.10.984? Might need to double check that, I don't use it personally.
no idea and i honestly never seen anyone complain myself. it's a good mod and i love the lore friendly ammo boxes. if there was one thing i would want is maybe modeled bullets and bullet cases like Armament has.
Though on the other hand, the author hasn't been around and i been hearing the NG update might be conflicting with mod. mostly the nails i think.
Weirdly enough, the FOMOD installer standard version works perfectly fine and installed the .esl I was missing, a bit funny considering that the other versions had esls that Vortex simply didn't acknowledge. Perhaps they are meant to be installed separately, having the high quality 2K/4K textures load after the main version? Or is it a bug with Vortex or a bad install?

I do have a question, is there planned support for MCM?

I recently add the Reaper's Munitions Patches to change/update the ammo of many weapons and I also add the New Vegas Skill System - A 2024 Merry Modding Days Mod (which it already has a patch for energy ammo NVSS and Munitions Patch ) and I'm totally in love. My playthrough feels totally fresh and really balanced for my teast.
Thank you for the work you are doing.
