Backpacks of the Commonwealth is a great mod. However it's also a large mod, unnessarily so in some ways, IMO. I personally don't think backpacks need DR, it just adds to power creep, let alone talking about increasing VATS accuracy, or Melee damage. I'm also not a fan of the Agility penalties- it creates a weird incentive to unequip the backpack when you don't need it.
Changes
- non-carry weight benefits and penalties have been removed
- Featured keyword removed
- Backpack prices reduced by 90% (with a few exceptions)
- Tweaked backpack weights
- Magazines have been disabled
- Scripts have been disabled (These were used to manage PA carry weight, and in practice are unnessary)
- Legendary attachment slot removed
- Backpack colors and accessories are distributed via modcols, you can now find backpacks of different colors out in the world (for the backpacks that have different colors)
Balance
This patch is fully standalone, but it also work great with my Load Out - Encumbrance Overhaul. If you're looking to add backpacks to your game without blowing out carry weight balance, check it out.
