I decided to increase the chance of finding a car with loot in 1.2.0. However this comes with a trade-off. Now unlocked cars that you find will have a lot less loot in them. Think of it as finding the odd bottle or scrap item hidden under the seat or somewhere else in the car.
The chance of finding normal amount of loot is essentially the same as before, but now with the added chance of finding scrap amount.
Should make scavenging for cars feel a bit more fun, without adding too much more loot into the game.
Version 1.3.0 - No Settlements Added a new version that removes all edits to the cars found in settlements. Had people report that mods that scraps everything, or even Sim Settlements 2 plans wasn't always working as intended with the cars around. So made a version that removed those edits for better compatibility.
Thanks for the tip, I didn't know about that feature to delete anything from Place Everywhere, and I've been using it for years. I enjoy your mod as an extra loot, and I understand that legendary loot isn't in your plans, it would have been a nice addition even if the probability was extremely low, but I see your point.
Would it be possible to add a chance that legendaries will occasionally spawn in lootable vehicles? Something similar to what this mod does but for cars? Legendary Items in Safes
The goal is not to add a lot of extra loot, but rather a bit of "oh I found this junk item" sort of reward. So currently no plans of adding legendary loot.
Rantanplan has made a scrapability patch for this mod. If it works, settlement cars that are lootable should still be scrapable, at least for AN76 users.
Hi guys Just on here asking about a mod like this one I used years ago
it added truck doors that were locked at the back of trucks that you could pick locks on but I can not remember what it was called, anyone recall what the mod is called? or could be part of other mod pack or something?
It could also have been More Truck Trailer Doors https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/73877?tab=description.
To Exoclyps, if you get a chance, please take a look at the above mod. It adds doors to Truck Trailers that do not have them but doesn't seem to touch the contents. Would that overwrite the changes made in this mod?
Currently no plans for that. It's just one script after all. Reason 1.2 has a ba2 was because I made that before I realized of the ba2 limit and started using loose files more.
Makes sense. Between the strain of loose scripts, the ba2 limit, and the esp limit, it's rapidly getting to the point of recreating the engine from scratch, then fitting (modded) Fallout 4 into it if I wasn't sure Bethesda would sue us into the ionosphere for "stealing the game" we all paid perfectly good money for.

Place Everywhere with the extra scrap option would let you scrap them though.
Any thoughts on how this could have happened?
Last edit — is True Damage and Elzee car alarm patch:

It is a cool addition to the game and works perfectly with Loot Detector.
it works, just that the cars remain highlighted even after unlocking or looting.
