    Squadmates System
    Last Updated: May 31, 2021

Gun For Hire gives you the ability to recruit a squad of three followers! These recruits come at the conclusion of one of the jobs you will receive from your assistant, Storming The Gates. Should your reputation be high enough and should you have the caps, you can hire the client to become one of your team. Though this particular job will fire off indefinitely, you will only have the option to hire the "client" a total of three times.

Once the NPC has been recruited, the will make their new home inside the Gun For Hire office space. They are set to sandbox within the whole cell and will make use of any furniture or markers that you place around the office. When you dismiss them, they will return to the office.

On this page you will see the available job types you can receive from your assistant. This are simple, high level descriptions that do not take any of the random branching or iterations of the jobs themselves into account; it's simply a list to give you an idea of what each job is, at it's core.

Diamond City Kill Bounty - Rather straight forward job. Go to a location and kill the selected target.

Escort Trader to "x" - You will be tasked with escorting a trader from Diamond City to either Goodneighbor or Bunker Hill.

Kill Raider - An NPC will task you with killing a raider who did some not so good things to them.

Investigate Strange Noises - An NPC has been hearing some wei...

This document will grow over time and will contain a list of the most common questions asked, as well as the ones I believe will be asked. And for sure, to highlight certain aspects of the mod that would be important for people to know when trying to assess how to mod behaves, especially in conjunction with other mods.

    1. What is the difference between Reputation Mode and Easy Mode?

Reputation Mode is a dynamic system for determining your chances of being offered a job by your assistant. When the mod starts, you are given a base 25 REP points. That means, when you ask the assistant for a job, you will have a 25% chance of successfully being offered a job. In those instances when a job is not found, to sim...

    GFH Game Events Monitor
    Last Updated: June 5, 2021

When you first install the mod, you will be asked about using Easy Mode or Reputation Mode. If you opt to use Reputation Mode, you have an extra option available to you; to use the Game Events Monitor to help you build you reputation, though this comes at the cost of starting out with zero reputation.

The Game Events Monitor does not take instances of items listed when they have already been completed, so please note that! A good rule of thumb is, if you have already done a good portion of the Main Quest (story), do not use the events monitor and start out your experience with a base of 25 reputation points.

Below is the list of items the Game Events Monitor currently tracks. More could be added at...
