I attempted to edit the LL for exclusively weapons on Minutemen but honestly have no idea what I'm doing... Not a computers guy at all... Using WATM for outfits and armor,
what i was going for was I wanted Minutemen that spawn in WATM outfits and armors to spawn consistently with Laser Muskets. also wanted to add Bayonets to the upgrades list. While the early Minutemen that still dress as settlers have random pipe weapons.
Then the Power Armor Minutemen spawn exclusively with Gauss rifles and Cannons! fitting the "Muskets" and old revolutionary theme.
i also seen this mod that does something neat by add swords and grenades, didnt much care for the changes to vanilla muskets or pistols tho. but if the NPCs change to melee when in melee range of an enemy the swords would be great!
Currently working on a large update for the mod that adds ranks and equipment variety to the Minutemen, kind of like the Gunners. They'll be a bit weaker than the Gunners though as canonically they're not as well equipped or trained, but they'll be able to hold their own in a lot of fights. Laser muskets will also be more useful on the Minutemen as they'll no longer miss a target the size of a Behemoth and they'll fully crank the musket to whatever capacity mod they have equipped.
Good first effort. Only too bad you haven't found time to update the mod as you had planned. Would have liked to see the minutemen a bit less uniform, but with viable weapons, armors and level scaling. Making them the equal of raiders (who sometimes have PA would be right in my mind). Don't think there's a single MM mod that elevates the faction to a credible force without going overboard, and making them too much alike gunners or the brotherhood.
Amuzingly enough, I was able to find a mod with a reasonable level of balance, one that keeps the minutemen as a milita force with T45s with miniguns and flamers being their limited heavy equipment at high levels. It's on bethesda.net.
Hey man, love your mod, but I may I suggest something? I would suggest that you put milita hat + minutemen clothes as standard uniform and one guy with colonial duster, as squad leader. That would be in my opinion the most precise description of a proper minutemen military organization. The weapons can be varied I guess. Anyway, I'm waiting for the next update, thanks and keep up the good work.
Same here! I'm honestly surprised nobody made a mod like this before I did. I've always sided with the Minutemen and seeing them turn up in rags with pipe pistols definitely made me second guess my allegiance more than once.
Is it possible to just overhaul the looks and not the guns? I don't really like seeing the Minutemen with just 1 gun. I do like the fact that this mod makes the Minutemen look uniformed I just don't really like the laser musket in particular. Great mod btw thanks for making this.

Any of this sound like something you would do?
use it along with:
- Minutemen reskin and standalone.
- Minutemen Wear Standard Outfit (MWSO).

free time to see if I can make it on my own.

Laser muskets would just end up in dead minutemen as all raiders and Gunners use better auto weapons.
Why not use laser rifles or service rifles so they can put up a fight?
Also some variety in the uniform.

In practice, you will maybe see one minuteman in power armour when responding to a flaregun, with the rest having mixed armour and weapons.
