Important if you update ( Vortex / Mod Organizer 2 )
    Spoiler:
    Show

    Mod Organizer 2

    • Keep the current mod installation (so just dont delete it)
    • Download and install the new download to the same name you choosen before. Dont check 'MCM settings file' option in FOMOD.
    • Press 'Merge' in the last confirm box to keep your settings file (including your HUD layout).

    Vortex
Vortex seems to have troubles when updating the mod. So it is the best to do a uninstall and then a fresh new install (solution 1). The user ExcerptNovela have posted an excellent in-Vortex-solution you can find as solution 2. Just choose the one you find most comfortable.
(The exact reason for the problems is still unknown. If some Vortex user knows more, please let me know it)

Vortex update - Solution 1 "The straight forward way"

    • If you want to keep your HUD layout backup your settings file: "data\MCM\Settings\FallUIHUD.ini" (Just copy it to anywhere, like your desktop)
    • Deinstall the old mod version completely
    • Install the new mod version
    • Put your settings file with your HUD layout back to the mod. (or to its own new mod, so you can skip this step for further updates)

Vortex update - Solution 2 "The elegant way" (Thanks to ExcerptNovela for providing this solution)

An easy way to update mods with Vortex is to use the "Variant" feature that pops up when you reinstall a mod or install a new version of the same mod, it can also be set manually in the right-hand pull-out info panel (The panel that shows when you double click a mod).

Name your new variant to something else (I use the version number). Vortex will install this new variant automatically but your old variant is still present under the "Version" drop-down menu.

Then use the drop-down menu under the version column to switch back to the old version.

Right-Click the mod, Select "Open in File Manager" from the context menu.

Copy the MCM\Settings\FallUIHUD.ini from this folder.

Switch back to the new Variant and Select "Open in File Manager" option again. Then just paste the copied ini.

You can now delete the old version from the "Version" drop-down menu under the version column. To do that you just Left-Click the "-" sign next to the variant you want to remove. The confirmation dialogue will open. Make sure to only select to remove the mod.

This same method can be used to merge files in place without repackaging from different versions (such as 2k / 4k options) or files from other mods.

If anyone can further help on the Vortex troubles please dont hesitate to post!

I'm using it with no issue, using the default HUD,  however for some reason NPC names are in slightly smaller font than the vanilla game HUD.  I recently switched to this and was using HUDFramework, and that mod's HUD swf has the NPC font names normal sized.  How do I change this?  Can it be changed?

Just in case this helps anyone else, I was having an issue where my presets would rarely if ever apply and no settings would properly save. I tried everything listed in the description and comments, but nothing helped. In my case, what turned out to be the issue was the fact I was using a mod called PrivateProfileRedirector F4 - it seems to have interfered with the mod properly saving/loading values. Hopefully this helps someone else with my very specific issue.

Thank you for this <3 You saved my threeish days of off and on modding! And yes, it was blocking functionality. Not sure if it was because we may had the wrong version downloaded or if it's just conflicting? Will test a bit and report back.

Edit: Yes, make sure you're using the right version. PrivateProfileRedirector F4 0.6.2 (RT 1.10.984) works just fine.

I have a request. I enjoy using this Fallout 76 Power Armor Collections System mod. Another neat thing about it is the mod lets the user rename the power armor chassis. However, the name is set back to just Power Armor every time it is collected. I'm not sure if there is a conflict between this mod and that one, or my load order is wrong, but I just wanted to put that out there for you.

Fantastic mod. I'm loving the changes. How do we go about changing the text to not overlap the settlement build menu text? For example, when I go to assign a settler to supply line the text overlaps and makes it barely legible, if the recommended settlement workshop portion is selected during installation.

Hey I'm using 23:9 monitor and the mcm layout edit doesn't turn out to be in right position, I edit position and 3d effect then reload the game, the widgets are pulled offset from center, I think it's because it was supposed to be 16:9 but "applied" to a 23:9 monitor so everything spreaded out a little bit.

I did notice there's a function that "auto detect monitor ratio" but didn't get it to work, I think I'm missing something.

I can always manage to take several loading and get the widget's position almost right in the end, but it's a little bit painful work, so if anyone fixed this situation please let me know.
