Fireflies is a mod for Fallout 4 that recycles a vanilla radiation visual effect from the Glowing Sea, and uses it to spawn fireflies during night-time.
They may appear in forests and inland rural regions of the three main worldspaces of Fallout 4, the Commonwealth, The Island and Nuka-World to add a bit more immersion to your night-time adventures.

Use a mod manager like Vortex.

OR

Extract the contents of the rar file to your Fallout 4 Data folder.

Enable Fireflies.esp (or Fireflies.esl) using a mod manager or manually.

The mod comes with a settings holotape added to your inventory under the Misc section called "Fireflies". If you're using sorting mods like VIS the holotape goes under the Settings Holotapes item group instead.

Under Weather Settings you can set the chance of fireflies appearing in different weather conditions.

Under Time Settings you can set the hour when fireflies should appear, and when they should disappear.

Under Density Settings you can change how often it is a dense versus a lighter firefly swarm.

Under Color Settings you can change the color of the fireflies.

You can also set whether fireflies should disappear when the shooting starts, or if they should ignore combat altogether.

Of course all these options can also be set in the mod's own MCM menu if you're on PC and have MCM installed, but MCM is not a requirement, this is only an optional feature for PC players.

The compatibility with Far Harbor and Nuka-World is automatic. If you have those extra content installed, the mod will automatically detect them and apply the feature to those worldspaces as well.
The mod runs a very lightweight script that detects if the player is in a cell where fireflies may appear, and as such, it cannot conflict with other mods as it doesn't edit any vanilla cells or worldpsaces.

None.

None at the moment.
