Permissions and credits
You like how your character look when he is wet and messy, but you don't like rain?
You want to have that wet effect, but without having to be under actual rain, including the clouds and the poor lightning and weather effects that can waste what could have been a perfect screen otherwise?
You'd rather have this wet effect, but without the rain, and even under the brightess of suns?

Now you can have it.

This mod aims to give you the possibility of triggering the wet skin texture (And everything else wet texture for that matter) WITHOUT actually needing rain, or the climates associated with rain (clouds, darkness, bad lightning, etc).

So, what it does exactly? This mod creates a fake rain effect, completely invisible, and associates it to the Clear weather from the base game, without touching anything else.

The result is that now, under the brightest of the suns, you and your environnement is now wet and messy as if you had just dived into a pool, or as if a terrible thunderstorm had just happened, except there is no rain, and the sun is still high in the sky and everything's fine and dandy.

How is it even possible? Well, the thing is the climate you see in the game (sun, clouds, sky, etc) and the precipitations (rain, snow, blood, whatever else) are two different things: while they come together, for example, during thunderstorms, in the actual data, these two things are separated and are invidually handled.

In short, I can add a terrible rain to a perfectly sunny and warm weather were the sky is blue and without any cloud; or I can unleash the most frightening storms but without any precipitations.

And that's what this mod is doing.

This mod only applies to the Clear weather from the base game, as I don't see the point of modifying the others weathers.

Also, since it only applies to the Clear weather from the base game, and since many people use others weather mods, like NAC or Vivid weather, my mod also includes a tutorial, including screenshots, to allow you to modify any weather mod you want, for you own personal use (Specific rules put in place by the authors of the respective mods of course still fully apply: I don't provide any file of these mods in any way, shape or form, I just show you how you can modify these yourself, for you personal use).

As I just said, this mod only modifies the Clear weather, but if you wish to modify the others weathers, the tutorial included in the files also contains the information you need to do so yourself, so you can add the wet texture effect on all weathers, or on the contrary, completely get rid of rain, or whatever thing you want to do, depending on your own tastes: you can do everything.

Thus, while it does what it says on the tin, my mod also constitutes a blueprint for you to experiment and do your own thing, by giving you the appropriate tools and knowledge. (And because I can't possibily make dozens of versions of the mod to suit the tastes of everyone)

All the screens featured in the gallery have been taken on Spectacle Island, at 2:00 PM, using Film Workshop.
The skin texture used is Dream skin set by Stavetskaya.

I don't share my presets.

How do I install it?

Simply place the .esp in your Data folder and enable it with your favorite mod organizer, that's all.

As for the Tutorial folder, you'll likely find it in the root of your Fallout 4 folder.

It is compatible with others weather mods?

It is 100% compatible with NAC, and compatible with Vivid weathers IF you load my mod after Vivid Weathers, as for the others weathers mods, they should be compatible too, if you have a doubt, load my mod after those.

Is it compatible with custom textures, be it body textures (CBBE, Fusion Girl, etc) or environnement textures?

Yes, absolutely. My mod doesn't change anything about the wet texture effect itself: it only makes it so the game applies it even when it is not raining. (Although technically, it IS raining, but since it is an invisible rain, we might as well consider it is not raining at all)

How do I remove it?

Delete the .esp file, that's all, there is no scripts, no exterior assets, literally nothing, it won't cause any issue anywhere.

If you have questions or are confused about the tutorial or whatever else, don't hesitate to ask in the comments.
For obvious reasons related to the simple fact you can't please everyone, I don't take requests: the tutorial is made so you can make the changes yourself to suit your needs exactly as you want to.

Don't hesitate to check my others mods, among them:

Clanggedin's Perkfest, The Ultimate Overhaul, who supermassively overhauls the game in many, many ways, the mod is so immense that only writing the description itself took me an entire week. (Available in French and English, the provided link is the english version)

Invisible Pip-boy in 3rd person, who does exactly what is says on the tin: it makes the Pip-boy invisible when you are in 3rd view, without any negative consequences.

Settle everywhere, who allows you to place workshops EVERYWHERE on the map, including interiors, also removes the time limit when you cross the settlements borders.

Jenna's body - CBBE bodyslide preset, my own bodyslide preset, that I have used since basically forever, obviously the best bodyslide preset ever made.

People have a name, who gives a name to every unique NPC of the game, DLC's included, and also makes possible to render all settlers invincible so you don't lose them to unfortunate circumstances (Or bugs, mostly bugs), that feature being also 100% optionnal.

Lethal headshot, who tweaks some numbers so humans, ghouls and super-mutants take more damage when hit to the head, also affects power armor cores; 2 versions possible.

Superboss Swan, for those who think Swan definitely doesn't live up to his legend in the base game, this mod WILL make you regret having ever set the foot in Swan's territory.

And many others mods: utilities, characters presets, game tweaks, weapons, indestructible power armors, bodyslide conversions, etc.
