Q: If my screen resolution is 1080p or 720p do I still need a 4K texture?
A: The Screen resolution is not the same as texture resolution. The resolution for the texture is independent and is not affected by screen resolution. So... You can have a CRT screen with 800x600 and a 4K texture would still be better and sharper than a 2K texture.
Q: Can this mod cause bugs?
A: No, Textures can't cause bugs, the only thing they could cause when properly textured is when your graphic card don't have enough vram and displays purple textures. Now as you see, it's still not caused by my mod but by the user side.
The game is very buggy, but we can't fill my site with bugs that can't be caused by my mod.
Your pipboy body01 normal map is inverted in your screens. Could i suggest to invert the green in the normal map, as it's in the wrong way. Nice mod by the way, already endorsed
1.) Go into Fallout 4 main directory 2.) In the Data folder, create a folder called textures and simply copy the interface and animobjects folders into there.
If you are using Mod Organizer 2 you need to go into the INI editor and in the fallout4.ini file find the line: sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\
Change it to this: sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, TEXTURES\
It should definitely work now.
TO MAKE THE PIPBOY SCREEN DARK LIKE IN THE SCREENSHOTS FOLLOW THESE ADDITIONAL STEPS: 1.) In the INI editor, go into fallout4.ini 2.) Add this code: [Pipboy] bPipboyDisableFX=1
hello, tnx u for the mod, i have one question for this ``sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, TEXTURES\``, i know i was like ``sResourceDataDirsFinal=``, now is with ``STRINGS\, TEXTURES\`` at the end? is this better or os the same, tnx u
I find that is very hard for me to see anything in the new pipboy. I would like to revert back to what it was before. Is there any way of doing this? I find myself lifting my laptop closer just to see the almost invisible ink, so to speak. Other than that, wonderful job on this mod. I downloaded the Adult Default mod and I tried to not include this in the download but the other mods accociated with the Pipboy rely on some of the data shared.
I just want to say that this mod is great as I've used it on two other occasions with no problems. But now I'm having problems. I'm using MO2 and I have a new game started. Fresh load order and all of my .ini files are tweaked accordingly. But I'm getting nothing but the vanilla pip-boy. Any ideas? Also not seeing any plugins show up when I activate the mod. It's like it doesn't exist in my load order. I'm not using any mods that should be effecting this. I have the Unofficial Patch, Clean Settlements mods, Companion Infinite Ammo and Small Generators. That's it! None of these should be causing a problems for this mod, which is why I'm thinking it's something else.
After a lot of tinkering and troubleshooting, I finally figured out my problem. For anyone else who is using MO2 and having problems. MO2 uses different .ini files than the base game does. You have to edit your .ini files that are paired with MO2, either through "INI Editor" under the "Tools" tab. Or you can just find them wherever you have MO2 installed and edit them through Notepad as usual.
Installed the 200 year old version manually, it works however when in third person I can only see the vanilla pip-boy on my character. Also the menu and text on the pipboy screen don't look like the photos posted of the 200 year old version.
I dont get why its doing this as the black version works fine in third person.
