Help fight save bloat I changed iHoursToClearCorpses from 24 to 1

Mod file includes a .esp as well as a bat file.

Permissions and credits
I highly recommend using this towards end game or game saves in which you have been playing a long long time or on survival play through to help combat save bloat. 

Q: What is save bloat?
A: In open world games were everything is moveable the game needs to create a record of that move. For example your in a fire fight and you miss and hit a beer bottle sending it flying. The game with then keep a record where that bottle landed so the next time you enter that cell it will still be there that record is save until there is a cell reset. Every time you build something in your settlement it keeps a record of that. ANNNNDDDD every time you kill something it keeps a record of that. F04 has built in scrubbers to remove dead bodies and cell change records after a period of time. Default is 24 ingame hours for bodies and Cells (world spaces) for non survival is 7 in day games survival is 80 I believe.
As the f04 builds records of all your activities the save file gets larger and larger.  If you have modified time scale and respawn/cell reset mods, save times get even larger.  I use Zombie Walkers mod which is always spawning zombies, (or if you use fo4 76 mod) you will end up with alot of dead bodies quickly resulting in long save time + 3-5 minutes per save. With this activated my save time drops down to under 5 seconds. 

My current save is 2400 hours survival with large settlement builds time scale at 10 and zombie mods, with this activated my save time drops to under 5 seconds for hard saves.  The only downside is to make sure you loot bodies right away.



This mod is light weight and only changes the iHoursToClearCorpses from 24 hours to 1.

How to use, Install with nmm or Manual install. I suggest dropping it at the bottom of the load order to fight dirty edits. Activate it. Go to a interior cell wait 2 hours then save. When you return to cells that you have previously had engaged in combat and left piles of dead bodies they will now be gone.   

For the change to be effective you must leave the cell wait 2  in Game Hours. If you return before 1 ingame hour is up, fo4 will reset the timer and the bodies will remain.

I included a txt/bat file in the zip archive for people not wanting to increase there mod list. 

Drop the .txt file into your main fo4 directory (not your data directory) start the game open the console type Bat corpse it will activate. You should only need to run it once for a play through. However if it does rest on you just run the bat again.
