Super simple mod that gives some options for circumventing locks and terminals using Brawn over Brain.

Permissions and credits
I wanted to make a really simple, lightweight (esl) mod that solves a little pet peeve of mine with respect to Locks, Power Armor, and Strength.
Basically, all this mod does is give an alternate activation to Doors, Safes, and Locked Containers called Bust Open via a Perk by the same name automagically added to your character.



New to Version 2.0: Percussive Maintenance! Changes nothing about Bust Open but includes a Perk called Percussive Maintenance which gives you and option to deal with terminals with your muscles (see below).





Install: Just plop the .esl and .ba2 file in your Data directory or let NMM do it.
Switching Versions: You should be able to go back and forth between the versions without any problem (I've named the .esl faile the same and all similar records are numbered equivalently). If you want to remove percussive maintenance version and just stick with Hulk Smash then you should follow the Uninstall directions but only for the Percussive Maintenance Perk.
Uninstall: May I suggest that you first remove the Perk from your character? Help COOTS 4 Perk should give you the Perk's ID and then a player.removeperk ThatNumber should take it off the player. You should be able to uninstall without problems after that

Bust Open
Allows you to use brawn to overcome locks. All locks (including chained and barred doors) can be overcome while in Power Armor.

-Doors: Depending on the lock strength these doors can also be overcome with a minimum Strength score.
--Novice: Strength 7+
--Advanced: Strength 8+
--Expert: Strength 9+
--Master: Strength 10+

-Safes: Only Power Armor can overcome these.

-Locked Containers: Depending on lock strength, Strength score, and current weapon these too can be overcome
--Novice: Tire Iron or Sledge Hammer & Strength 5+
--Advanced to Master: Sledge Hammer & Strength 7+
Both the Sledge Hammer and Super Sledge work for this.  If you have Nuka World installed then so won't the Sledge Hammer from that.

Whack (Percussive Maintenance)
Allows you to use brawn to overcome terminals. Requires at least 4 Strength and a tool in your inventory (any of the non-weapon hammers or wrenches).

-Outcomes: Can unlock terminals and/or affect one of the random features that terminal may have (connected to locked doors, turrets, spotlights, safes, protectrons, or tripwires). Each Whack risks breaking the terminal, making it nonfunctional (hit terminals at your own risk!!!). What effect that takes effect is random and chosen from all the options if one were to hack such things.
--Doors: Unlock, Lock (random difficulty), or Nothing.
--Terminal itself: Unlock, Lock (random difficulty), or Nothing.
--Turrets: Override (ally), Frenzy (attack everyone), Sabotage (will usually blow up within 10 seconds of firing), or nothing.
--Spotlights: Override (ally), Blank (ignores everyone), Sabotage (instant kablooey), or nothing.
--Safes: Unlock, Lock (random difficulty), or Nothing.
--Protectron: VIP (follows you around), Berzerk (attack everyone), Activate (normal wake up), or Nothing.
--Tripwires: Switch activation state or Nothing (this one is stupid and I'm not 100% sure about it).


Note: I know Locky Bastard, Breakable Locks, and Unlocking Violence exist. They're great, but I have precious few mod slots, I don't like the idea of shooting doors, and I just wanted this one little thing. Maybe you do too.
