The optional file, version 0.02, now allows you to hide those horrendous twigs that everyone complains about.
It hides more twigs (and possibly leaves, [but not the leaf piles!]) than the No More Twigs mod, and you don't have to use an ESP to do it.

I recommend my optional file for those of you wanting to get rid of ALL of the twigs. For those of you wanting to only get rid of the really tall twigs, use the No More Twigs mod. You only need to use one mod or the other. Not both.
No More Twigs mod link: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/27392

I'm excited this mod has done so well already. I'm happy so many people have found a use for it!
And thank you to everyone that takes the time to give it an endorsement. <3

Edit/Update 7/17/18: Wow, over 100 endorsements! That's awesome! Thank you!

    Thank you.
Exactly what I was looking for.

I've already replaced most of the brambles and things with pretty stuff,
I've pulled the textures folders out of those super heavy green mods like regrowth just for the swaps,
but I just couldn't stop the spanish moss vines from fading in and out horribly.

So thanks to your mod, out they go, and everything is beautiful again.

THANK YOU for this mod! I play FO4 VR and all those damn shrubs and grasses were KILLING my FPS.
Plus, they're just damn ugly. I mean, it's been 200 years. Most of that crap would have biodegraded anyway.
Sorry, but dead bushes don't last that long.

Regardless... works PERFECTLY. Now the landscape is clutter and ugly free- I can actually see things on the ground now...

I was looking everywhere for a way to get rid of the grass and shrubs. Found an .ini fix for the grass... but no shrubberies.

Until I found this. God, I love you.

I got to thank you a lot for providing this mod, because as much as i love Minecraft, i love building settlements in this game, problem is you can't remove grass, rocks, twigs, bushes, etc. and it simply clips/grows through the floor without foundation (which wastes a lot of size meter)

Now this mod helps with regards of those annoyances and make settlement and the game easier to look in the eyes!
After all it's an apocalypse why so inconsistent like making all trees dead while lower plants still alive?

    This mod works best with:

Natural Green Grass and Trees Overhaul (add green grasses in small patches and also replace some of the dead trees including the one at the center of the Sanctuary cul-de-sac)
NOTE: Install Natural Green Grass first, and then No Ugly Plants after that. Direct extract works best.

    Commonwealth Trash Removal Overhaul:
    https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2711

Sanctuary Homestead: Postwar Edition (This will make Sanctuary less of an unkempt landfill and more of an abandoned but relatively clean neighborhood. After all what are Codsworth doing for the past 210 years?) move far below the load order to prevent flickering because of failed override
    https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/28460/

The cleansettlement series (too much to link here, available in separate series)

Clean and optimized wood (because why newly built stuff looks rusty and rickety?)

I was actually the user that initially posted the bug report you responded to for the Natural Green Grass mod. lol.
I think I ended up using different grass/tree mods, but I'm sure that one works great and what I experienced may have been a weird fluke.
But yes, if anyone installs anything that touches grass and/or trees, this mod will need to be installed afterwards to do any overwriting that may need to be done.
I've also used most of the other mods you recommend as well. Thanks for taking the time to help others make the game look better. ;)

Awesome work! Thank you! And if I may, can it possible to make ALL plants (including grass) invisible? I'm trying to build a total deserted wasteland in which there is nothing but sand and raiders. (Mad Max style you know)

If you get the Bethesda Archive Extractor, you can find out what all the texture file names are in the game and where they're to be located within the folders. From there, you can simply take any of the invisible textures I've given you from this mod, copy it, rename it to the texture you'd like to make invisible, and place it where it needs to go within your game's folders. Might sound more difficult than it is, but it can actually be pretty fun once you figure it out.
I'm playing Fallout 4 on PS4 these days. If I get back around to the PC version, I might see what I can do to make all plants invisible. Although, I accidently made some grass invisible once ended up with white textures all over the game. Looked like it had snowed in-game! Took forever to track down which file it was. So, there's about a 10% chance I'll get around to it. Sorry.

You can actually get rid of a lot of the grass in the game by going into your ini files. Go into your Fallout4.ini, find where it says [Grass], and edit the two lines you see there. (Remember what they say to set it back to default if you don't like the changes you make.) I imagine you'd set both lines to 0. Or even just the bAllowCreateGrass to 0 may be enough.

      Good luck and have fun.

Wow this is really awesome. I don't if I am imagining things or if I finally went crazy but with this mod it feels like you gain a small boost to the frames. Either way, Thank you so much.

Yeah, depending on people's specs, it can certainly increase FPS. I've had it for so long, I don't know what the game is like without this mod. lol.
I'm happy it's giving you an fps boost and that you're enjoying it! Thanks for the kind words and your endorsement! <3

Hey amber, consider adding MarshScumFX - I've done it for myself but figure others would like it as an option here. Thanks for this, gets rid of some pesky fps wasters while freeing up space for actual grass.

I actually did this for my own game before I stopped playing and switched back to World of Warcraft for its new expansion. It seemed it get rid of the murky, oily stuff in the marsh scum, but not actually the grass and bits floating around, too.
If anyone wants to implement this in their own game, it's as simple as taking on of the files within this addon, making a copy, and renaming it and placing it in the correct file directory. In this case, you'd name the file "MarshScumFX_d" (without quotation marks) and place it in the following directory, creating any folders you don't already have: ...\Data\textures\Landscape\Water
That simple to make it disappear. Fun, right? It can get addicting, too.
And you're welcome, ossumpossum! I'm glad you're enjoying this mod! <3

When I first saw this mod I said why would I want to hide this stuff? Then I did a wasteland / desert setup. Floating vines all over reminds me of the out of control ivy in my yard. Thank you for this mod.
