The optional file, version 0.02, now allows you to hide those horrendous twigs that everyone complains about.
It hides more twigs (and possibly leaves, [but not the leaf piles!]) than the No More Twigs mod, and you don't have to use an ESP to do it.

I recommend my optional file for those of you wanting to get rid of ALL of the twigs. For those of you wanting to only get rid of the really tall twigs, use the No More Twigs mod. You only need to use one mod or the other. Not both.
No More Twigs mod link: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/27392

I'm excited this mod has done so well already. I'm happy so many people have found a use for it!
And thank you to everyone that takes the time to give it an endorsement. <3

Edit/Update 7/17/18: Wow, over 100 endorsements! That's awesome! Thank you!

    Edit/Update 3/26/19: Over 300 endorsements. Thank you!
My plan is to update this to include some more things, especially plants I dislike around Far Harbor. And maybe a few decals as optional files.
(An update was released in April 2019. I still plan/hope to include more in the future.)
But, unfortunately, I don't know when I'll get around to it. There's a lot of other things going on right now, (like I just started playing Elder Scrolls Online again) and I may start modding for Skyrim soon, too. We shall see!
Thank you to everyone that took the time to try this mod out. I hope you've enjoyed it.
And a special thank you to everyone that has given it (or will give it) an endorsement! <3

05/16/2019 - Woo! 400 endorsements! That's awesome! Thank you all!

The page is in dire need of before-and-after pictures! If you're willing, take a few and upload them in the images section. I'd be very grateful.
It takes a decade for my game to boot up, so taking before-and-after screenshots is the bane of my existence. Haha.

I know I already thanked you before... but I wanted you to know that upon having to completely delete and re-install the game...

Yours was the first mod I re-downloaded and installed. Nice FOMOD version, too!
Again, TYVM for doing this. This mod is seriously one of the most under-rated ones on the Nexus and an absolute necessity.

Yay! Welcome back. Thank you for the compliments. I'm honored! ;)
Have a Kudo point for making a point to come back to say some nice things again. <3
Mod authors really appreciate users like you.

Seen that you upgraded the mod but also that you recommended the April version which I all ready have and so I will stick with that one for now
I gave you a KUDOS and a "vote" for mod of the month.
I didn't know how much I wanted this until I used it.
    Thanks

Yeah, the one released in May is the same thing as the other April version. :)
Unfortunately, the fomod wasn't placed in the right location within the folders for all the mod managers to use it correctly. So that's all that was updated.
Thanks a lot, BeechMasters. I gave you a Kudo as well for being so kind!

Ok so the newer version should be downloaded then?
      Thanks again for the kudos

No. It looks like you're using version 2.0, the all-in-one without the fomod. So you're golden. No need for you to download or update anything right now.

Woot! Yay! It's my first FoMod. I couldn't find any tutorials online and the fomod creator doesn't feel very intuitive at all. It's a great program, obviously, but it's intimidating. So I have a newfound respect for other mod authors that implement fomods for their mods.
But now I know for the future that I probably shouldn't use PNG pictures and use something more like JPG, and probably resize them to something much smaller. I didn't realize the fomod version was such a big file until I was uploading it. I facepalmed. Oh well. I'll do better next time. Haha.
Anyway, enjoy! Good to hear from ya again!

There's this FOMOD Tutorial right here on Nexus, don't how how detailed it is though.

Yeah, that tutorial guide confused me even more than I was. Anyhow, congrats on your first fomod, @amber1019. I'm still fiddling with it as I couldn't find a good tutorial either. I'll figure it out eventually. Someone told me that making a fomod is easy as clicking on a button. It really isn't.

Edit: I may be taking on too many tools at once so the fomod tool just makes it worse. fo4edit, CK, Python, Unity and blender might be too much of a workload for an older guy like myself. :) Maybe, I'll just stick to being my cat's lap device.

LOL! Yeah, it definitely isn't as easy as clicking a button. That's hilarious. I imagine once people really learn the ins-and-outs of the fomod creator, it gets much easier. Once I figured out what I needed to do for a basic fomod, it all just became very monotonous. I had a couple "oopsie" moments, but yeah. That tutorial didn't help me at all, except giving me a "environment" picture to include in the fomod. lol. I appreciate the author's attempt at helping though.
What really helped me is reading the "info" tab in the fomod creator. That told me enough to help me do what I needed to for this simple mod. Anything more complicated than helping people choose whether or not they want to use a texture would have flown way over my head.

    Love the mod.
Updated to the new version. Made sure to remove the previous version first.

I went for the FOMOD version, but when activating, NMM just installs it normally without bringing up the FOMOD to select options. Honestly it doesn't bother me to much as I was using all the options anyhow, just figured I'd give the FOMOD a go since I occasionally tweak things with the green/grass mods I use and thought it would be helpful to see what was being used/altered.

Definitely not a complaint and its probably something on my end.
Thanks so much for making the mod tho :) So handy.

Interesting! I use Vortex and didn't have an issue with the fomod. But my fiancee still uses NMM, so I'll install it through there as soon as I can to see if I have the same issue and get back to you. It's the first I've heard of an installation problem. Thanks for letting me know. :)

No worries< i had tried removing the new version completely and re loading NMM to see and the same thing occurs.
Still isn't an issue for me really. :)

Geez, it takes almost 2 minutes to download the fomod version because of all the pictures I included that I didn't make smaller and such. I'll definitely try to make the fomod version a much smaller download next time I update.

You're completely correct about the fomod not working with NMM. I have a feeling it's because of where I put the fomod folder & files. I wasn't sure where to put them! lol. I'll mess around with it either today or some time later this week to get it fixed, and maybe even try to make the download smaller if I'm feeling extra motivated.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. <3 Have a Kudo!

Okay! Issue should be fixed! I've tested the FOMod with Vortex and NMM and everything seems to be working as intended.
Sorry about all that. Thank you again for bringing it to my attention.
In the future, I'll see about implementing a "select all" type feature in the FOMod so there isn't so much clicking to select everything.

I'll get to grabbing the FOMOD again the next time I get a chance to fire up FO4.
It taking 2 minutes to download isn't so bad, but then I've downloaded mods like Unique NPCs and others that are quite massive lol.
I can't remember how long your fomod took, but regardless it's a small price to pay for a handy simple little feature lol.

      Have a Kudos yourself :)

Might I suggest a "SELECT ALL" check box for each page?

    Especially the Decal Page

Lol, yeah. I mention that to someone else on the posts page. I thought about implementing it but I wasn't 100% sure how it would work. How I'd have to categorize each plugin selection if a "select all" type option was thrown into the mix. But I do plan to try to figure it out for my next update... whenever I'm able to get around to it.
And thank you for your endorsement!

      You're welcome.
This mod is the smartest way to go about removing unsightly and annoying things from the game, because all it does is make things invisible and doesn't interfere with combines, and meshes, and it doesn't even require an ESP., thereby reducing the risk of causing crashes and incompatibilities etc.

      Brilliant solution

(*Plus it allows me to leave Spanish Moss (Which I never saw in 27 years living in Massachusetts) and Ivy and Vines)

As I'm not sure exactly which plant or tree you're talking about... I'm going to say yes. It probably does. There won't be much of any foliage left if you use all the selections the FOMod gives you, or just install the other all-in-one main file. Just the regular trees will be left, plus any wild plants you can pick wild fruit and flowers from. There might be some small cedar bushes here and there, but they're quite rare. I think that's one I wasn't able to hide because it also removes (makes transparent) some leaves and branches from trees.

TL;DR: Yeah. I'm 99% sure this will hide what you're talking about.

This is one of those sleeper mods.
It just sits on Nexus waiting for a person to get bored with their loaded mods and wants to try something really different then they're used to. Perusing the massive mod list, they stumble across this and think, "meh" and move onto other things. After a while, they make their way back up the list of mods and again see this mod. They take a moment to read the description and start thinking of all the things it may break or make too sterile looking, but they down load it anyways. A few days later, they load it with some trepidation and wait. When the save game pops up they have instants regrets of not having it loaded from the start. The difference in positive visual effects is quite wonderful. Why Bethesda made those sticks and grasses a permanent thing is beyond me.

It truly is a much needed mod.

Edit : TY for the non-fomod version on this update

All that positive energy you have to reply to almost everyone. What a delight to not have a bitter person, even though most modders are rightfully bitter on how people talk to them and act about a FREE addition to a game. Thank you again. I hope your positive outlook is contagious to all. :)

Huh, now that I understand why I would want this. Hahaha, I really want it.

Oddly, smart folks were talking about it for a while now “damanding, with an “a”” and I just wasn’t putting 2 and 2 together.

Hahaha, transparent textures now that is just one of those amazing “uh-huh” things that leave folks like me with a silly look on their faces. : |

It is just another example of the brilliance of some of the modders we have in this community. This is a real gem in the thousands of mods we have for F04.

Thank you very much for this amber1019!
