    Here are further instructions about how to install Darker Nights for both VW and TS mods. I don't know how to state it more clear, so if you still left in wonders after reading this - i can't help you.

    1) First, you need to install DK with the mod manager for a weather mod which is not a priority in my weather patch. I.e. if you use Vivid priority then install DK for True Storms, and vice versa.
    2) Now when it's installed you have to find the plugin of DK. Old Nexus Mod Manager installed it right into the game's Data folder, Mod Organizer ha it's own folders which user could explicitly set, and for new Vortex idk, never actually used it. But it should be somewhere.
    3) Once you found the DK plugin file copy it somewhere else, anywhere, you will need it soon. And rename it. Like if you installed TS version you may rename it into 'Darker Nights - TS.esp'.
    4) Now uninstall DK in mod manager.
    5) Then install DK for weather mod of priority choice. I.e. for Vivid Weathers priority install DK for Vivid Weathers, and so on.
    6) Now again find the place where it had been installed (Data folder, or some mod manager's dedicated folder), and copy into it the plugin file from before, one you have renamed.
    7) Now you have both DK plugins for both wether mods. All is left is to activate the mod (if it's not activated automatically), and check the load order of plugins. The renamed DK file should be listed before the DK file for priority weather. Both files should be active.

    Thanks for your work on this mod patch!

    Any idea if weather mods scale to different Timescales?
    I'm just wondering if weather states like clear weather or storms last 5 times longer for someone like me who sets Timescale 4.

    PS, is it my imagination Vivid Weather 2.12 patch is exactly the same as the 2.11 esp, timestamp, size and date. Not only that the timestamp is 1 year older than the Download update, date.

      I think that Truestorm or Vivid Weathers specify that changing the timescales could result in glitches and/or other malfunctions :/

      It does scale. As someone who plays on 1x speed I had the joy of 24 hours of heavy rain. That day my character got wet clearing corvega and I was tired of rain.

    Has anyone else run into an issue with the clouds looking weird. It looks like https://www.reddit.com/r/FalloutMods/comments/6dyyeo/fo4_weird_sky_bug_when_using_true_storms_and/
    however, the fix suggested on that page did not work for me unfortunately. I tried changing up the priorities but I didn't have any luck.

      yea I think Vivid Weathers usually ends up being the culprit here. It always seems to be the common denomonator over the years with users. I have it myself and even tried using the sky from Radiant Clouds which are loose files but no luck.

      I really love the colours and sunsets with VW so I am trying to make it work

    is guide for installing Darker nights still viable ? since it no longer supports latest vivid weathers version ...

      The guide might be viable, but whether the current DN version is compatible with the current VW version is a question for DN author.

      Judging from what I've seen DN is not compatible with Vivid weathers 2.12, no. Found a comment from Mangaclub saying they are not currently compatible as the Darker Nights mod author has been MIA for quite some time now.

      well i wasn't completely honest ...
      tn messes up vw sky during the day ... clouds are like stuck and cut together in the middle of sky ..
      i'm overlooking it cause it works fine during night time ... priorities i guess

    I would like Vivid Weathers colors and sunsets with True Storms storms. I am guessing I still get this if I choose True Storms Priority

    I'm using True Nights instead of Darker Nights. Can i Make this work without Darker Nights? How i set the priority between Vivid Weathers and True Storms?

      I'm not familiar with that mod. And as i see it has version only for TS. I only may guess that it works somewhere similar to Darker Nights, and probably you should install the TS priority version of my mod, and then place True Nights plugin lower than my patch in the load order.

    LOVE this. Man, the two of them just work so well together.

    Can I use the True Storms holotapes to activate the ghouls during rad storms or will that screw with anything?

      Yes, it should work. Ghoul attaks also should be triggered by VW rad weathers.

    Does this version covers the hotfix made for Vivid Weathers? (2.12 "Fixes missing sound sliders for Rain and thunder Volume - For real now!")

    EDIT:
    Also i dont quite understand the proces to make compatibility for Darker nights care to help me on that aswell?

      My patch doesn't fiddle with sound settings, so it doesn't depend on 2.12 hotfix. As for DK installation, i just made a sticky post about it.

    Man it must take a lot of work to keep to patch these mods, really nice work, i couldnt live without this, True Storms has some great far harbor weathers.
