Here are further instructions about how to install Darker Nights for both VW and TS mods. I don't know how to state it more clear, so if you still left in wonders after reading this - i can't help you.
1) First, you need to install DK with the mod manager for a weather mod which is not a priority in my weather patch. I.e. if you use Vivid priority then install DK for True Storms, and vice versa. 2) Now when it's installed you have to find the plugin of DK. Old Nexus Mod Manager installed it right into the game's Data folder, Mod Organizer ha it's own folders which user could explicitly set, and for new Vortex idk, never actually used it. But it should be somewhere. 3) Once you found the DK plugin file copy it somewhere else, anywhere, you will need it soon. And rename it. Like if you installed TS version you may rename it into 'Darker Nights - TS.esp'. 4) Now uninstall DK in mod manager. 5) Then install DK for weather mod of priority choice. I.e. for Vivid Weathers priority install DK for Vivid Weathers, and so on. 6) Now again find the place where it had been installed (Data folder, or some mod manager's dedicated folder), and copy into it the plugin file from before, one you have renamed. 7) Now you have both DK plugins for both wether mods. All is left is to activate the mod (if it's not activated automatically), and check the load order of plugins. The renamed DK file should be listed before the DK file for priority weather. Both files should be active.
Seem to have found a bit of a bug in the More Dangerous Glowing Sea addition. So I'm a level 8 Sole Survivor chilling out and building at Abernathy Farm, with limited gear near the start of the game, and a rad storm rolls in. And a single lightning strike (which seems to hit whether inside or out) is taking out 25% of my hit points in rad damage. Four lightning strikes and I'm dead.
The original radiation storm effect did 5 rad damage on a lightning strike; True Storms More Dangerous Glowing Sea didn't touch this effect - the rad danger from the Glowing Sea is in other spell effects. But the Weather Synergy-TruePriority-N-ES-x8 plugin sets this to 40. The problem is, this effect is called by certain radstorms outside the Glowing Sea, which is why the x8 True Storms didn't mess with it.
I'm trying to use the 1.4.1 version of True Storms with vivid weather. At night, when using the fw 15e weather command, it seems like I'm under a day sky but dark, with very bright clear fog. Is there a reason for that ?
I havent played a full save on it for now, so I don't really know if that's a bug caused by the command in itself or because of the mod.
Maybe this mod will solve your problems? : https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/68599 or https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/80017?tab=files&file_id=308204&nmm=1
There seems to be an update for true storms probably because of the update, is this still compatable with the 1.4.2 version of true storms or do i need to wait for an update of the merge patch?
I can confirm it does not work at all with 1.4.2, you can have the DLC patch's for True Storms, but in this patch's installer NukaWorld will NOT show up at all. this never happened with 1.4.1 and fadingsignal for whatever reason doesnt offer anything from the 1.4.1 version besides the base mod, no NukaWorld patch for 1.4.1 is available to download.
Hi. Any way to lower the % chance of fog? The storms/rain is well balanced not too rare not too common so for me is perfect but the Fog (idk if it comes from true weathers or vivid lol) is too much, I want to make it a lil rarer but idk what file I need to edit on fo4edit/what entry. Ty
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/65462?tab=description This mod merge the FH and NW DLC from True storm and make it fully compatible with Clarity so u can delete the 2 DLC esp option from True storm, tho that means u obviously cant tick the 2 DLC option in Weather synergy patch due to missing master. IDK how are these going to play along.
I am using ver 1.11 of synergy, 1.4.2 of TS, and 2.23 Vivid. Anyways, mod seems to work great and all is well, except in my Vortex launcher. I keep getting a "Missing Masters" with "WeatherSynergy-NukaWorld.esp requiring TrueStorms-NukaWorld.esp" I am using the NukaWorld + FarHarbor addon for TS. I've redownloaded all 3 of these mods a couple times and the same issue always persists. I don't mind too much if the weather doesn't work in NukaWorld, but I was wondering if this is a bug or just some outdated wording within the plugins? Everything seems to be working as intended in the Commonwealth and Far Harbor, and the mod is great, just the error in my Vortex launcher persists.
I truly enjoy both mods. i love the look and feel of Vivid but i like the storms of TS what priority do i need to have the look and feel of Vivid but the Storms of TS? im a bit confused.
"Look and feel" is quite subjective thingy, but I think TS priority will suit you. It will have TS heavy rain weathers and others weathу types will be VW.
I always find this confusing also. I think I want TS priority as well, but am confused by what Vivid priority offers. What, other than mostly the heavy rain weathers, do you want from TS?
@cstarkey42 with VW priority what's left is probably rad storms and ghoul hordes attacks. So yeah, TS priority is the most reasonable choice. But I didn't want to enforce this choice on players, so here it is.
Do you happen to know if the latest versions of vivid and true storm work with darker nights patches? the patch in darker night specifies a few versions behind?
Just curious if you've considered updating the mod for TS Version 1.4.2? Asking because this patch hasn't been updated in a few years. If yes is there an ETA we can expect? Thanks :)
According to the description it does support TS 1.4.2 - though admittedly the last update on TS was put out January of 23, while this version last was updated December of 22 - that said, the changelog for TS 1.4.2 just says 'Fixed material files for light rains, which were not being detected by ENB Rain' which I don't think would have huge issues assuming that this worked for 1.4.1 already.
Just curious, did you find any issues using this with TS 1.4.2? I'm working on a load order currently using this so I'm just curious if there's any issues you've seen that I might need to anticipate or try and work around.
The in-game plugin list is currently rejecting it because is sees it as missing a requirement. ie TS 1.4.1. I've even attempted manually enabling it in the plugins.txt but the game catches it when it loads and disables it. At least that's happening with mine.
