  • How to Resolve Crashing Issues with Elden Ring v1.09

So with the latest official update to Elden Ring adding Ray Tracing, many people are reporting crashing issues upon launching the game, loading a save file, or interacting with certain objects.

While a fix will likely come in the form of a 1.09.1 update, (lol. lmao.) currently there are steps that can be taken that have resolved these issues for some users:

    1) Disable Ray Tracing. This can be done in-game in the graphics settings, but for users without an RTX enabled graphics card, the option will be grayed out. You can ensure that the setting is turned off by opening %APPDATA%\EldenRing\GraphicsConfig.xml with notepad, and disable RayTracing by modifiying its XML entry like so:

    <RaytracingQuality>DISABLE</RaytracingQuality>

  • How to downgrade from official version 1.08 to 1.07.1

Disclaimer: I do not recommend using this method to downgrade, and instead suggest waiting for Seamless Co-op and other mods to update to support the latest version, but for those who wish to do so anyways, these are the steps to downgrade safely

With the latest Colosseum update to Elden Ring Official Patch version 1.08, all mods will be rendered unusable until they specifically update to support the latest version of the official game. While it will likely not take long for most mods to make the update, if you wish to roll back your game to version 1.07.1 to continue to use Unalloyed in the meantime, use the following steps at your own discretion:

    1) Go to %APPDATA%\EldenRing and make a back up of your ER0000.co2 and ER0000.sl2 save files

  • How to downgrade from official version 1.07 to 1.06

Disclaimer: I do not recommend using this method to downgrade, and instead suggest waiting for Seamless Co-op and other mods to update to support the latest version, but I'll outline it anyway

With the latest update to Elden Ring Official Patch version 1.07, all mods will be rendered unusable until they specifically update to support the latest version of the official game. While it will likely not take long for most mods to make the update, if you wish to roll back your game to version 1.06 to continue to use Unalloyed, use the following steps at your own discretion:

    1) Go to %APPDATA%\EldenRing and make a back up of your ER0000.co2 and ER0000.sl2 save files

    2) Go to your Elden Ring Game directory and make a backup of your "EasyAntiCheat" folder

  • Unlimited Compatibility

As of v1.1.2 of Unalloyed, I'm confident that the majority of the commonly encountered bugs with installation have been ironed out, and I've managed to get randomization to work for even the latest (as of this post, v0.4.53) version of Reforged.

Going forward, I'll make periodic updates to increase the "supported" version of Reforged, but even if you install the modpack with a version beyond the recommended, Unalloyed will detect this and perform a "clean" installation, meaning all map and event edits will be purged, save for common files. This should allow randomization to work regardless of the version used....

  • Newer version of Reforged--Added optional support for Rings of Talent

    Happy October!

Unalloyed now works with versions of Elden Ring Reforged up to 0.4.47! I had intended to merge my regulation.bin edits with the latest version of Reforged, but all versions past 0.4.47 are currently not randomizing properly, so that's about at recent as I can support for now. I'll put out another update once I'm able to get the latest versions to work properly.

Another big update, I've also added optional support for installation with Rings of Talent! I haven't fully tested this part of the installer yet, so hopefully it works (If you have any problems, be sure to drop me a bug report with the log file generated from running debug.bat).
