"Wardrobe Control" mod for Dying Light

This mod is safe to use on both new and existing save games in all difficulty modes.
However, with any game you modify, it is always a good idea to make a backup of your
save game files before making any changes.
(save games are located at "...\Steam\userdata\*userid_or_number*\239140\" folder)

File Affected: "...Steam\Steamapps\common\Dying Light\DW\Data3.pak"
1) Browse to your Dying Light installation folder and enter the 'DW' folder
2) Make a backup copy of the Data3.pak file if one exists
3) Open the downloaded "Wardrobe Control" mod .zip file
4) Copy only the "Data3.pak" file from this zip into your game's 'DW' folder
--- If you ARE using other mods ---
1) Add this mod's files into your existing Data3.pak file if they do not already exist in it
-- If any files already exist due to being modified by other mods, manually merge this mod's files with the
existing ones modified by other mods using a program like WinMerge and place the combined version into your
Data3.pak file

-ARE NOT- using other mods:
� Remove the "Data3.pak" file from your game folder or replace it with the backup Data3.pak file you made
-ARE- using other mods:
- If file merging was needed
� Replace your Data3.pak file with the backup version that does not have Wardrobe Control added to it
or
� Manually remove the added Wardrobe Control elements from the files or replace the merged files with
backup versions that do not have Wardrobe Control elements incorporated into them

_____ To customize "Wardrobe Control" mod ___________________________________________
File Affected: "...Steam\Steamapps\common\Dying Light\DW\Data3.pak" > "data\scripts\WARDROBE_CUSTOMIZATION.txt"
After installing the mod's Data3.pak file to your game installation's "DW" folder, you can use a program like WinRAR
(or another zip program) to open the Data3.pak file.
1) Browse to the "data\scripts" folder and open the "WARDROBE_CUSTOMIZATION.txt" file for editing with
NotePad.
2) Add // to the far left of any undesired outfit's 'use' line to disable that outfit from appearing in
your wardrobe.
3) Save your changes to the file and update it in the archive.
(Instead of editing the file directly inside WinRAR, you may instead need to copy the file out to your
computer, edit it and save the changes, then copy the edited file back into the open WinRAR window and
overwrite the unedited file)
You can re-enable any disabled outfits by editing the file again and removing the // you added on that outfit.
_____ More detailed steps _____
1) Open your installed Data3.pak file that contains this mod:
- Browse to your Dying Light installation folder and enter the 'DW' folder
- Open the 'Data3.pak' file which contains this mod with WinRAR
"...Steam\Steamapps\Dying Light\DW\Data3.pak"
2) Extract/copy the customization file onto your computer someplace and then open it with Notepad
- Browse to the "data\scripts" folder
- Copy/extract the "WARDROBE_CUSTOMIZATION.txt" file onto your computer someplace
- Open the copied file with Notepad (from within Notepad or by right-clicking the file and selecting
"Open with..." and choosing Notepad as the program to open it with
3) In this file, take note of the "use" lines for each outfit appearance and the instructions in the file
- Add // at the far left of the 'use' lines of outfit appearances to disable specific outfits from
appearing in your stash wardrobe
- You can re-enable any disabled outfit appearances by removing the // to once again have those outfits
appear in your stash wardrobe
Example:
// use wc_Athlete(); //////////// Athlete
use wc_Brainssss(); //////////// Brainssss
Athlete is disabled and -WILL NOT- appear in your wardrobe
Brainssss is not disabled and -WILL- appear in your wardrobe
4) Save your changes and add the modified file back into the Data3.pak file
- After making any changes to enable or disable any outfit appearances, save the changes to this file
and close it
- Drag and drop this modified file back onto the open Data3.pak WinRar window and replace the existing
one after ensuring that the 'Normal' option is selected under compression method
