This module adds a new mage class specialization called Lich that allows the character to become a powerful necromancer and use spells to drain life and animate dead corpses.

The specialization is available after you get the Blood Mage spec achievement and grants +0.25 combat health and mana regeneration.

This module adds a new mage class specialization called Lich that allows the character to become a powerful necromancer and use spells to drain life and animate dead corpses.

The specialization is available after you get the Blood Mage spec achievement and grants +0.25 combat health and mana regeneration.

There are 4 spells, the first 2 are mainly based on spiritual damage and drain life from enemies.
With the 3rd spell you can raise up to 3 undead minions from near corpses.
With the last spell you can take the form of a real Lich and enhance many of your stats and double the number of skeleton minions summonable.

There are also 2 new items that fit for a necromancer character:
- Necromancer robes
- Staff of the Death Realm

You can find the items on Gaxkang after you defeat him.
Otherwise you can type "runscript add_ncrrb" to add them to your inventory.

The Lich form spell only works well with the main character since npcs transform in crippled models.

The skeletons created are affected by the Advanced Reanimation spells combo.

The Lich Form remains during dialogue and after death, you must recast and deactivate it if you die in order to come back to the original appearence.

OPTIONAL: permanent summons optional files, it should work well, contact me if you find bugs.

Should be compatible with everything provided it doesn't use the same ID's range.
Abilities go from 444444 to 444456

Optional Permanent summons file is incompatible with orgolove permanent summons mod (with which i had some bugs and so i created a different more stable version) and with every other mod that edits area_core.

[3] Installation

Just install the dazip with DAUpdater.exe (gameDirectory\bin_ship\)

To unistall just delete:
- the "lich_spec" folder in "documents/BioWare/Dragon Age/AddIns"
- the "lich_spec_package.erf" in the folder "documents/BioWare/Dragon Age/packages/core/data"
- the "lich_spec" folder in "documents/BioWare/Dragon Age/packages/core/override"

If you're upgrading remember to unistall before reinstalling.

OPTIONAL: exctract the "Permanent Summons" folder in "documents/BioWare/Dragon Age/packages/core/overrides"

[4] Lich Abilities

Death Bolt:
Cast a dark orb that deals moderate spirit damage and drains an amount of life from the target.

Souls Drain:
Inflicts spirit area damage near the caster and heals an amount of life from each damaged enemy.
Also heals all raised undead minions.

Undead Swarm:
Raise up to 3 undead minions to fight alongside the party.
The Lich form increases the max amount to 6.

Lich Form:
Take the form of a real Lich, a powerful undead mage that uses the power of the Fade to enhance his abilities.
In Lich Form you gain: +10 magic, +15 willpower, +10 spellpower, +10 armor, +10 defense, +5 combat mana regen, +5 combat health regen.
But you also lose the ability to drink healing and lyrium potions, leaving you only the use of regeneration, draining spells and blood magic.

After turning in this form for the first time, a new spell Lich Attack is unlocked under "Racial Traits" that lets you cast your equipped staff bolt
(with spiritual type).
This because the base attack of the Lich Form is melee.

+6 willpower

Where to find: Both available from killing and looting Gaxkang.

- fixed double attribute points bug

• 05/06/2021:
- fixed an incompatibility bug with Beastmaster Specialization mod

• 15/06/2021 1.1:
- now if an undead minion dies the undead swarm spell isn't disabled (when active, you'll see an icon for the main spell
  and one for each undead minion)
- however, now the undead swarm spell remains always active until you disable it, even if all minions are dead
- Drain Souls now also heals raised undead minions
- new dark form for the Lich
- different undeads appearence dependent on the class
- if the dead corpse is of rank liutenant or higher it summons an elite undead minion (they have higher health, armor and attack
  and a different appearence)
- undead minions now have tactic tables automatically setted on them dependently from class and weapon wielded
- fixed a bug where the drain spell were affected by blood magic
- added new necromancer robes and staff

• 15/06/2021 1.1.0.1:
- removed debug floating message

- now compatible with awakening and every other campaign

• 19/06/2021 1.1.2:
- reduced cooldown of Undead Swarm from 60 to 30s
- no more auto draw weapons for Souls Drain
- fixed blood magic heal problem with Souls Drain

• 05/07/2021 1.2:
- fixed a weird bug that sometimes disabled summon abilities for Beastmaster spec
- Undead Swarm range is doubled (sometimes was difficult to summon 6 undeads if they were too distant from each other)
- now improved undeads have an Unholy Enchantment on their melee weapons that deals Spirit damage instead of electric
- decreased cooldown of Lich form from 90s to 30s

• 01/05/2022 1.3:
- resurrected undead corpses are no more just skeletons but they keep appearance of the dead creature (still only humanoid)

• 06/07/2022 1.3.1:
- added missing file

• 14/07/2022 1.4:
- undead swarm now resurrects any creature not only humanoid
- when a humanoid with special armors or weapons is animated as undead his unique gear is replaced with placeholder gear of the same type, no more naked undead minions

[7] Issues
----------------------------------
If you keep the lich form for too long...the Fade will claim your flesh and your existence will be bound forever to a decaying undead body.
Jokes aside, using the Lich Form during dialogues may cause a bug where reverting back to original race doesn't work as expected but no worry, just save and reload and everything will be fine ;)

I personally prefer this small inoffensive bug rather than being forced out of the form at every dialogue.
