With the release of 2.0 (and subsequent updates) I think its time we get our beloved HARDCORE22 up to the new standards.

Completely reworked from the ground up, this is the version of the mod I always wanted to make. Every shot counts and every hit hurts.

This is the combat overhaul you are looking for. Try it on chooms.

READ THIS LINE - THIS MOD ONLY WORKS ON VERY HARD DIFFICULTY. That was done intentionally for compatibility's sake as it is the least used difficulty in the game. ALSO QUICK NOTE: Not tested with Phanton Liberty! I am buying this weekend and will give it a run, but it should work just fine minus custom curves for DLC weapons.

3. You want to experience one of the most downloaded mods for Cyberpunk in 2.0+. 
4. You're a psychopath...I dont know your life.  

WHAT THIS MOD DOES:

This mod evens the playing field for you, the player, and the NPCs you will be up against. You die just as easily as they do. It relevels the guns so that an assault rifle does what an assualt rifle does. It makes actually investing in cyberware beyond double jumping important. It removes your potential to become a god unless you actively pursue cyber divinity. You have to EARN your keep here. 

THIS MOD COMPLETELY REWORKS THE COMBAT SYSTEM FROM THE GROUND UP. 

HOW? 

Health for all flesh and blood beings is set to 100 (minus bosses and some heavy hitters here and there, you never know who you're gonna run into). It sets weapon damage to accurate numbers to coincide with these changes. (Pistols poke holes, Rifles now flatten people, SMGs turn chests into mesh, Shotgun removes pieces and Snipers let 'em know from a distance). 

Metal enemies have been beefed up considerably. I'm sorry, but a giant mech should be a tank and a security bot should be a threat. 

Upgrading weapons is now important. You want an iconic gun? You want something someone is gonna pick up off your body after they zero you and say "damn, this is a nice piece". Make it. Weapon upgrades provide MINIMAL damage increase, but every integer counts, and its not about the numbers anymore, it's about survival of the fittest. 

ALL OF THIS MEANS when you get into a firefight, you might die very easily, so you better invest in some that subdermal armor and play smart. Cover is now your friend. 
That means your enemies might die very easily, but they might not.  there are some bad dudes out there with some big guns and they might have more cyberware than you, they might have better armor. Better think about that before hopping in and getting your chest turned to mesh. 

You think you're just going to "beat on the brat"? no. You better get good at boxing or you better invest in some gorilla arms. These people can hit hard and your face is gonna feel it. 

You think youre just going to walk into a firefight and kill everyone because you're level 50 and theyre just NPCs? No. You're just another swinging dick in the game of life. You need to think fast, move fast, shoot fast. 

You think you're just gonna stand there when that grenade explodes because you're the main character? THIS ISN'T ABOUT YOU ANYMORE. 

POINT BLANK: if you are a fan of pretending guns have "damage stats" because its "level 5" and looter shooters where you're always finding the best gun after a firefight, this mod will not be for you AND THATS OKAY. But I do not enjoy outleveling my gun after two hours. I want to carry that katana and unity with me through my whole run. I want those to be MY guns. I made this mod for me and am deciding to share it, lore complaints will be ignored. 

Headshots matter (as they should. ninja-ing up to someone and shooting them only to have them not die is the worst feeling ever), sneaking matters, cover matters, healing matters, everything now has more weight and importance and be the difference between success and reloading your quicksave. There is no artificial numbers system coming to save you because you leveled up. Your choices and upgrades matter. 

ITS TOO HARD!

Well then edit the mod. You are more than welcome to use ANYTHING from this mod and convert it into something you want, feel free to upload anywhere. Credit me or don't, I dont care. Feel free to tinker with the included YAML to your hearts content.
User friendly YAML included so you can tune weapons to do less or more to your hearts content. All weapons are in there!

BUT I WANT MORE HEEEEALTH!

Then upgrade your body. This makes the cyberware system all the more valuable. 
Upgrade your armor, invest in higher health numbers. You are no longer being leveled by the game just for playing, you need to actively invest in your stats. Or you can run and gun like a true merc with nothing more than an old edgerunner and a pump shotgun. Pick a lane. 

WHY DID YOU MAKE A NEW PAGE?

This is a new version completely from scratch for what feels like a new game (2.+ is amazing, I want it to meet that standard). I want a clean slate. It's that simple. Download numbers never mattered. 

WHAT DOES THIS MOD NOT DO:

It does NOT make permanent changes to your game. You can uninstall at any time without issues. If you are curious, you can test this in your playthrough at any time, if you are not feeling it, you can remove it. It really is that simple. 
It does NOT make changes to anything other than damage curves, weapon and player power levels, and health. It is extremely lightweight but has far reaching effects. again, THE ENTIRE COMBAT SYSTEM IS COMPLETELY REWORKED HERE FROM THE GROUND UP. 

STILL DUBIOUS? Here are the stats from the previous release. As one of the most endorsed and downloaded (behind all the big boobs) mods on nexus, I think it might be something you're interested in.
I am not bragging, but I am proud that over 150k people had fun with my work. Worse you can do is uninstall, give it a shot!


RECOMMENDED MODS TO PLAY WITH:
PREEM SCOPES (clear not stupid optics)
ATTACH ANY SCOPE TO ANY GUN
LIMITED HUD (remove elements that take away from the hardcore)
HIDE ENEMY HEALTH BAR (not sure if other mods work, but this one is good on 2.02
OR
LIMITED HUD (my preferred HUD mod, cant get immersed with your screen full of shit)
NO  MORE OUT-LEVELING VENDORS 
WEAPON CONDITIONING (DEGRADING WEAPONS YOU NEED TO MAINTAIN)
ANYTHING THAT LENDS ITSELF TO REALISM. 

INSTALLATION:
DROP THE .ARCHIVE INTO THE Cyberpunk 2077\archive\pc\mod FOLDER
DROP THE .YAML INTO THE Cyberpunk 2077\r6\tweaks FOLDER (requires tweak.xl)

UNINSTALLATION:
REMOVE THE FILES FROM YOUR FOLDERS. EASY. 

TROUBLESHOOTING:

If this mod doesnt work: dont come to the page and tell other people it doesnt work. I didnt release a mod I didn't test. It has worked with every patch I have testing it with. 
- if you start up the game and your health shows 100, it is working. if not, continue reading. 
- first thing, remove all your mods besides cosmetics and this one. Run it. if it works then there is an issue with your load order and a mod is conflicting. straight up. That is on you to figure out (sounds rude, but I only run this and cosmetic mods, so I wont know how to troubleshoot). 
- Verify installation on steam. 
- Reinstall the game. 
- IF YOU ARE RUNNING THIS MOD AND STILL EXPERIENCING BULLET SPONGE AFTER ACT 1 THEN YOU CAN REPORT. 
- IF YOU CANNOT EXTRACT ARCHIVE USE WINRAR OR RENAME TO .ZIP OR .RAR. I seriously dont know where this issue is coming from, it extracts with everyt program I try to extract with haha.
