Changelogs
What does this mod do?
It adds two "deity" choices for flavor, Faithful and Faithless. It has been made with mods in mind such as Deity for All and Customizer's Compendium, which unlock deity choice for every class. It's a feature I like, and non-party NPCs being Selunites doesn't bother me; however, I don't think the choice suits all our companions or player characters. If I'll find a way to make Faithful the default "deity" choice instead of Selune, I might upload that as an alternative version.

There are now two versions of the main file, please use only one or the other!
  • Plain version: There are no tags associated with either Faithful or Faithless. It's only a cosmetic choice to better reflect your character's beliefs, instead of having to pick a single god as a cleric or paladin might.
  • Deities version: Faithful has ALL deities available in the game files associated with it, a total of 27 deities plus their cleric and paladin counterparts. Please note that this doesn't add dialogue choices that aren't already in the game. If you feel there's a lack of deity related reactivity, then that's by the game's design, not mine. Also beware when tags come up, they may have non-immersive tag names for your character, but that's the trade-off for getting flavor text options available.

Please feel free to publish translations for this mod if you'd like!

Compatibility
There's no incompatibility with any of the suspect mods as far as I can tell. I tested my mod along with Extra Gods and Cleric Subclasses, and worked just fine. The icons are part of ImprovedUI's framework, and thus compatible with any deity mod that also adds icons within the same framework.

Requirements
  • A mod fixer of your choice: Customizer's Compendium comes with built-in mod fixer and additional features; Mod Fixer is a standalone mod with no additional features. There are other mods with built-in fixers too, mod manager now shows these mods with a unique icon.
  • ImprovedUI and its Assets optional file are required for the icons to show up.

Known issues
"We've detected a data mismatch, which may be caused by unsupported mods, corrupt files, or unknown data. This could cause crashes or issues running the game. Please see our support page for more information."
If you see the message above in your launcher, don't worry! It's a default warning with mods. Assuming the mod is not out of date, it should be as safe to use as any other mod.

There are no custom icons.
There used to be no icons in this mod, so make sure you've updated your mod and have all the requirements installed.

Installation
Install this mod via the mod manager of your choice. BG3 Mod Manager is preferred as that's what I'm using, but reportedly it works with Vortex too.

Additional comments
For anyone looking to make their own mods, I used lslib to unpack the game files. You'll find thorough guides on how to create your own mods on the BG3 Wiki's Modding Resources page, highly recommend it!
Special thanks to labotor and her template on how to add deities, which can be found on the Down By The River Discord!
