seriously,I've never seen this issue in my game, wetness turned on and I've played through like 30 times and have clocked well over 1600 hours in game already.
i want to say its just a joke mod but knowing bethesda games, ill just assume its an issue some people are having that i have never had, like how everyone swears DCMS breaks save games and yet I've only ever had it break one of my characters settlements, and that was because i kept changing the options like every three in-game days.
@ SirArthur85: I don't know what I should tell you, there's a video embedded where you can view that bug in action and here are 3 links where other users complains about the same stuff: link 1link 2link 3
The vanilla specular map is set up incorrectly for the linked material file, therefore the chrome effect appears on the cooking station in the rain. There's no joke at all dude.
*sigh* thanks for the random needless fanboi comment, Von, but I'm using AMD and see the exact same weird "wet food is chromed on the spit" effect. So no.
Also, I use nVdia and get it, so I turned it off, I hated having everything look like the "Enchantments" from Morrowind, or like everything was shrink-wrapped
Has nothing to do with Intel. I noticed the exact same issue when playing on my old rig, running an FX 6300 and R9 270x.
You're likely either not looking at the right objects (only a few were exceptionally bad), or you're using an ENB or something that makes the problem less noticeable.
@ WhiskeyWarPig: Yeah you're right. My 1080ti has only 11 GB Vram. Damn I knew it wouldn't be enough. I'll sell it on ebay and buy me a Quadro P6000 with 24 GB. Hopefully it will work this time.
tbh, i dont recall having this when i started playing fo4 (at launch) i dont know if i just didnt notice it back then, but it sure is a thing now, thanks for this mod. havent installed it yet, but it deserves an endorsement.
Frankly I haven't seen this before as well. But now I'm realised that it actually was there all this time and was just not noticing it. Probably my "autoignore for things you'd better not noticed" works better than expected. The comment about Intel is just plainly retarded. I use nVidia card and I'm sure most people playing games with such demands are using descrete graphics cards as well.
If you have wetness on then it's there and you just didn't notice it. It's just something beth didn't do correctly, not a bug that sometimes happens and sometimes doesn't.
This is an issue with vanilla settings everyone has this issue everyone see's it doesnt matter your rig. its just the more powerful ur rig the less u notice how bright it is.
I have this issue too. Its when you jump and land on the ground. The volume stops working and the screen turns white. Pushing tab to look at pip boy fixes the screen but the volume is still gone forcing me to restart the game.
I do not know what the reason is. In the file (Fallout4Prefs.ini bEnableWetnessMaterials=0) i fixed it, I will play like this for now. Sorry to disturb.
You've endorsed this mod 2 minutes after you posted that it doesn't work. If you still need help, what did you do ingame to test if the mod is/isn't working?
Thank you so much for this mod. it works exactly as described and now I don't have any chrome chickens roasting on a fire at my settlements. wish Bethesda would implement this mod in fallout 76 to make the game look better.

My food does **NOT** look like chrome in the rain.
My stats:
AMD FX 4300
2 MSI 950's
32 GIG Ripjaw Memory
Must be an Intel thing.......

same issue
so no .. not "Intel" thing
that system got to be Vram bound unless ya running the game on mid to low
even my 1060 3GB vram is maxed out on high
