My solution to Somerville Place. Easily defensible. Only Transfer Settlements required. No DLC required. Now updated with Transfer Settlements V1.41.

Sometimes my 'Fort' configuration for a settlement is neither cost effective or efficient.
This is when I use my 'Castle' layout.
I am only doing one version of this blueprint. I figure that by the time you have set up settlements this far south you would have the requirements to build advanced turrets. The turrets I have work very effectively.
If you do not wish the turrets just scrap them. :)
This 'Castle' has -

Additional Castle Somerville Notes
I would advise building this blueprint late at night when the Somervilles are sleeping so they don't interfere with the process.
As usual, as with almost all the Vanilla settlement houses in the game, this house is next to useless.
You can't even put anything inside it.
Somerville place has a couple of spawn points, one to the north (dogs usually) and one to the east (Mirelurks)... with the occasional raider spawn.
You really don't need much more defense than I already have in place.
I would advise that you run the route between Somerville Place and Erget Tours Marina occasionally to clear the spawns along the way (dogs, raiders and Mirelurks) to keep you supply lines open.
You will need Spring Cleaning, or a similar mod, to remove the usual rubbish.
Installation
The folder needs to be extracted and placed in your 'Transfer Settlements' folder. 7zip
