Probably "partly" - meaning with the original no-dlc sectors and no-dlc races. I gave up on this mod when i just couldn't figure out where Egosoft placed the new illegal flags for new races/sectors and even worse: testing it to confirm it working was an absolute pain.
Just an FYI, it would be nice to have a mod like this since Egosoft decided to annoy players with micromanagement by giving random ship captains in your fleet illegal inventory items for no apparent reason at random intervals, no matter what you set your drone policies and global orders to at some point between 4.1 and 6.2.
Thanks for the feedback - I just took a short peek but couldn't find the issue right away. Could you give more detail on your experience? Like what item/ware did you have in your player inventory (not cargo) and in which sector or what faction did the police find illegal goods on you?
Also not working for me in 4.1. I've got personal inventory, nothing in the ship, and got scanned by TER police and lost rep. Inn my inventory management screen there is nothing illegal flagged and the 'Drop illegal goods' button is not available to click. Basically game says nothing illegal but TER police disagreed. Hope that helps.
@Aj3108 thanks for the info. Need to check if there are other routines for Terran sectors. In theory the mod works very simple - it just removes the illegal flags from the list of wares. Need to confirm the issue with Terrans and best have a savegame shortly before being scanned in order to track this down :(
Weed and booze would be container wares that go into your cargo hold. This mod only fixes the stuff that goes into the player's inventory.
If you want to legalize booze and weed (or majadust with the Paranids) you'd need to put this into the libraries/wares.xml <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <diff xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <remove sel="/wares/ware[@id='spacefuel']/@illegal"/> <remove sel="/wares/ware[@id='spaceweed']/@illegal"/> <remove sel="/wares/ware[@id='majadust']/@illegal"/> </diff> Of course you can also just add the three lines starting with "<remove..." to the libraries/wares.xml that's contained in this mod if you want inventory and container wares to all be legal.
Should be fine since it just removes the illegal status and so far I didn't have any issues with Split Vendetta either. If you encounter any issues tho, please let me know :)
But in the v3 I do not see illegal items in my inventory! Where to find them? :) Tasks are not completed due to their alleged absence. :( P.S. Sorry! I did not know that the decoder is a one-time thing! The question is removed.
The archive contains a folder named vxLegalInventory, put this into your extensions directory.
If you not yet have an extensions directory: 1. navigate to your game's installation folder 2. create a folder named "extensions" if it doesn't exist yet 3. extract the folder "vxLegalInventory" there
For me the path now reads: D:\gog\X4 Foundations\extensions\
If you're usind STEAM your path will be something like: .\Steam\SteamApps\common\X4 Foundations\extensions\
If you don't know where STEAM or GOG install your games, please check Google. I would tell you if I was using the default settings, but I don't, so... :-)

Hence the "-discontinued" flag. Sorry.

edit - I removed the dependency from the content.xml and the mod works fine. I still don't understand why it didn't work with the dependency though.

Works fine with 3.20+Split DLC?
Tho since the v3 update we're finally able to hide inventory items at the HQ - at least Bernd said so in some video :)
