I'm willing to update any old/outdated mods on Next Gen 4.04, upon those rules:
- No overhaul or huge mods, such Ghost Mode, Vladimir UI or Geralt Doppler. - I can only edits scripts, bundled text (xml and csv), and redcloth, w2scenes, w2ent, w2mesh, etc... I can't modify texture, sound or redsfw. - Will always be Brothers in Arms compatible. - Once the update tested and working, I will send the updated mod to the original author via Direct Message. - I only ask my name in the credits, no DP asking. - But if I got no answer less than 7 days, I will publish by myself and give 50% DP to the author.
Hello! Few things that I had during my playthrough. 1. Maybe it's only for me, but during fight for kaer morhen during Eskel cutscene (when ciri jumping to help him) default quen appears. 2. During trigger of second life mutation there is afterimage of default quen.
Forgive me if the answer is obvious, I'm not very savvy on modding, but when I go to the OG mod, it also has a Next Gen version and when I install them on the witcher 3 mod manager it tells me I need to overwrite files.
Is this correct or do I need an older version of the original mod?
Per say in the instructions, you install the original E3 Quen, and then E3 Quen Next Gen. If mod manager ask to overwrite, you already have the mod installed, so prompt yes.
Also, the original E3 Quen is falsely Next Gen, the author didn't update all files and it's thank to friend that found out due to a bug.
Hi there! I had an issue in classic v1.31, I installed original E3 Quen 4.0 and there were no spark floating, this sign was invisible. So I decided to try this E3 Quen (Next Gen) together with original E3 Quen 4.0 just in case. I don't know why, but it works now without giving to this mod higher priority, or even mergering. I've tested one spark floating version, floating sparks become more while upgrade Quen skills just like you said in description. Thanks a lot!
Umm... you should not use my updated E3 Quen. You'll likely get T-pose. The issue you got is likely because you didn't use the E3 Quen meant for 1.32 specifically.
When can I get T-pose issue? I'll check if it appears, because I haven't noticed it yet. If it will like you said, how can I fix it? As I said the original E3 Quen 4.0 and 2.1 make sign invisible while using, it's working but invisible. Thanks in advance.
Ok I'll try it. I always install mods manually, didn't use Witcher3 Mod Manager. I didn't install only your Next Gen mod, I installed both of them, one is yours and another one is an original E3 Quen 4.0. When I uninstall your mod, floating sparks wouldn't appear again, but with your mod works fine. It's strange, because your mod is not for my 1.31 classic game.
1.31?! Really? I have to tell you about that: 1.32 == 1.31 It's a waste of time and useless to downgrade into 1.31. All you need is Community Patch Base and Mod Limit Fix/Adjuster in order to use any classic 1.32/1.31 mods!
I needn't to downgrade into 1.31, because I play 1.31, but the trouble is E3 Quen mod for 1.31 https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/2366 doesn't proper work for me. Could you tell me how I can make it work? Any ideas?
I needn't to downgrade into 1.31, because I play 1.31
That excuse makes no sense... I told you in big letter, playing on 1.31 instead of 1.32 is the same as playing 1.32 instead of 1.31. You got it? Every time I have to tell because there is a myth about that. You gain NO benefit by playing 1.31.
So ask Steam/GOG to verify the files. Install Community Patch Base and Mod Limit Fix/Adjuster. Remove E3 Quen and reinstall using Mod Manager (for easy installation). Then check Script Merger for any conflict.
I've got it. First step is to install Community Patch Base. Mod limit fix is already patched (I have 70 mods). Then using Mod Maneger reinstall E3 Quen. And I have to uninstall Brothers in arms mod to avoid conflicts, any way I didn't see useful in it. It is done! Everething is correct now! Thanks!
Mod Maneger tuned out to be convenient in use. Why I didn't use it before. Thanks for your advice! But I stil don't clear what Community Patch Base do.
Not the entire mod. Just the specific change to that specific file. Some modder are aware of potential conflict, so they made sure their mod should be either lower or higher priority by default.
Holy crap you are a savior. Wasn't able to make any of the basic quen effects work with 2.1Quen. Installing Quen 4.0 and the next-gen patch somehow made everything work flawlessly on 1.32 GOTY.
Please don't let me repeat all those comments you haven't read:

And check in Script Merger any mod that conflict to E3 Quen. It's probably because it isn't in higher priority.
does anyone have an idea for my E3Quen (I have this too E3QuenNG) which lost its blue light effect at lvl 1 and the floating thing too, at lvl 3 of Quen I keep the 3 things floating around me (and blue bubble) but still no light effect, i'm in the dark. In short, it works halfway.
This does not happen when I play a male custom Witcher but the problem reappears when I switch to Witchress..and yet 0 conflicts on Script Merge, and no compatibility issues on description
may be a conflict with Sorceress spells that use Quen for Lumos, but that's problematic as I don't use the Sorceress included in this mod
thanks for your answer, I understand, no way to affect all the Witchers in the game to use this one? Lambert could use the blue Quen in the cinematic of the battle of Kaer, that would be incredible. Well I don't know how complicated it is to do if it's one line of code or hundreds haha :)
Please allow me to ask a question. (I've read the description pages of this mod and the original mod in their entirety and spent quite a bit of time trying them out myself before asking this question.)
Regardless of which version is installed, the quen in the game has only one spark around it, not multiple sparks like the demo video of the original mod, so it's easy to recognise if you still have a quen in battle. I'm sure that I've installed all the mods correctly and that I set the priority as follows : next gen 1, original 2, grass collision no priority.
Additionally, visual effects and sounds of quen breaking will suddenly appear on the body sometimes.
Thanks for your prompt reply. :)I thought upgrades referred to any of the quen series of skills, my misunderstanding.
Also I found a new problem, visual effects and sounds of quen breaking will suddenly appear on the body sometimes.
In the script merger, the mods that shows conflict with this mod is : 1. blood cover, 2. more blood original and 3. the next gen version, plus 4. grass collision. I gave quen a higher priority otherwise quen effects would not appear on the body.
So what can I do to fix this? The quen breaking seems to be happening randomly at the moment. :(

It's likely the cause of another mod or your graphic preset.

Would be good to have just one mod instead of two, but it's cool anyway.

I know it's already been asked for previously, but could you please consider adding an original color version?
I really like all the extra FX, but even though the blue looks great, I would still prefer to keep the vanilla color.
