As for Crossbows and Bolts, we have decided not to include this feature at this time as their mechanics are slightly different from other weapons and careless leveling could lead to game imbalances or affect mod compatibility.
Almost what I was looking for, but it still feels a bit like cheating to me. Here's how I imagined it: Geralt visits the Runewright, and then he raises the level of any chosen equipment for a fee, perhaps even requiring some materials. Is such a mod possible? Would you be interested in making one or integrating similar functionality here?
I made this mod because I felt the vanilla Grindstone and Workbench features were unnecessary and wanted to replace them with something new.
Your idea is great, but it's too far removed from the main purpose of this mod. It's also easy to imagine that it would be a ton of work, so I probably won't be working on it.
Oh, thanks for the reply. One last question, is there a way to edit the lists in a way that the mod would only affect relic swords and nothing else? I know I could go with removing unnecessary items (or unequipping) when I want to use the grindstone and never use the workbenches, but still.
I will be updating the mod in the near future to allow items with a lower rarity than the one specified in the options menu to be ineligible for leveling up.
Is there a version without the durability modification? I've tried merging and it crashes game.
EDIT: Found the solution, just don't merge the files. That's it lmao, for reference I'm using the indestructible mod https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/342
If you don't merge, you may have issues with the mod working in New Game+. This issue has been reported a few times, so we hope to eventually add a version without the durability changes.
First time I got an error since I started modding was after installing this mod ;-; help me please
Error [mod0000_mergedfiles]game\components\inventorycomponent.ws(5666): Found unexpected '}'
It had some error during merging script which I didn't know how to solve. I just pressed "adopt C for all conflicts" (C being this mod, A being the vanilla lines) and then now when I try to launch this error occurs
Have you read How to Merge Scripts in the INSTALLATION section? I basically recommend selecting both B and C. This is because if you select only one mod, the functionality of the mod that is not selected will be lost.
the merger software is too complex for me and I don't even know code. But anyway I tried a bunch of random stuff and it's seemingly working now, I can't even tell you how exactly I solved. Maybe it can break something else or some other mod, but I haven't noticed it yet. I think it was clashing with my mod that gave infinite durability to equipment (no need to repair)
Yes. The permanent enhancement of Aerondight combined with the level-up from this mod would make Aerondight too powerful, so we have disabled the permanent enhancement of Aerondight.
hey there. this mod conflicts with the ''Raven Armor'' and ''Morgraig Armor'' mod . although you can merge them , when you try to start the game, it has a script error.
Hi! First of all I want to thank you for making this great mod, helped me a lot for 2nd round playing to keep using some nice looking weapon after their level fall behind. Really great help!
I noticed that some weapons are not upgraded such as DLC item "The Caretaker's spade". Seems like it's not considered a "sword"? Do you have any idea how to get the item updated? Thanks!

Would you add this feature as an optional file?

If you select Relics from the options menu, only Relics and Witcher Gear will be eligible for leveling up.

Untested, but compatibility should be improved.
See the COMPATIBILITY section in the DESCRIPTION tab for more details.

I would like to focus on other work at the moment, so please wait a while for the compatibility patch update.
I wanted to ask about approximate release date of newest patch when update will be completed and available to download.
