This DLC + Mod restore various unfinished food item left by CD Project Red found by glassfish777 and Flipper444:
Debug name: 'Cherry cordia'
This food was simply commented in the XML files with incorrect icon and no strings. The needed work was to create new strings for all languages and point to the correct icon.
Cherries can be sell it to the same shop that sell the alchemy item "Cherry cordial" (White Orchard inn, Crow's Perch merchant, The Golden Sturgeon, Skellige Tavern, etc...).
Debug name: 'alcohol_factory_lemon'
There was no XML definition for this food, but an icon was found out. Probably meant to be an ingredient for the drink/alchemy Nilfgaardian Lemon (by the way, it should be vodka instead). We simply took the same XML stats as DLC - Alcohol Factory of Geralt for compatibility.
Lemons can be sell it to the same shop/inn that sell the alchemy item "Nilfgaardian Lemon" (White Orchard inn, Crow's Perch merchant, The Golden Sturgeon, Skellige Tavern, etc...).
Debug name: 'Pheasant gutted'
This food was ready to use but not sellable, loot or as rewards.
It was meant to be an exclusive food for the "Pheasantry" restaurant in Toussaint. But because all Inns share the same shop inventory, we have to create a separate XML shop (so it affect one vanilla files).
Only available to the "Pheasantry" in Toussaint.
Debug name: 'q701_crayfish_soup'
This food was ready to use but not sellable, loot or as rewards.
It was meant to be an exclusive food for the "The Cockatrice Inn" in Toussaint. But because all Inns share the same shop inventory, we have to create a separate XML shop (so it affect one vanilla files).
Only available to the "The Cockatrice Inn" in Toussaint.
Debug name: 'q701_pate'
Exactly the same reason to the "Crayfish Soup".
Only available to the "The Cockatrice Inn" in Toussaint.
Debug name: 'butcher_sausages'
This food was meant as quest item during the main quest "Ugly Baby". We don't know what for...
Because it's originally quest item, we create new XML definition as "non quest item" so it won't break the game (just in case).
Only available to the "Trader" in Crow's Perche and "The Butcher" in Toussaint.
Debug name: 'scramb_eggs'
This food was meant as quest item during the main quest "Ugly Baby". More precisely during the cut content quest "Va Fail, Elaine" when it was indented to be cook and given to Yennefer.
Because it's originally quest item, we create new XML definition as "non quest item" so it won't break the game (just in case).
Only available to all Inns in Toussaint and Rich Novigrad.
Debug name: 'geralt_omelette'
This food was meant as quest item during the main quest "Ugly Baby". More precisely during the cut content quest "Va Fail, Elaine" when either Geralt or Vesemir have to cook an omelette for Yennefer.
Because it's originally quest item, we create new XML definition as "non quest item" so it won't break the game (and by the way compatible to Omelette Quest Restored).
Only available to all Inns in Toussaint and Rich Novigrad.
Next-Gen AND Classic compatible! FOR PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE VERSION!!
Don't dare to ask me "is this mod work on *.** version?"
Installation
For newcomer/beginner: I invite you reading The Tome of Witcher 3 Modding
0. DON'T USE VORTEX!!
1. Use Witcher 3 Mod Manager, or extract the files in your game's directory Witcher 3 Wild Hunt GOTY Edition. Make sure you drop "DLC" and "Mods" to the same folder (and not inside them)
How to uninstall?
Delete the folder "dlcfoodrestore" from the "DLC" folder and "modfoddrestore" from the "Mods" folder.
Compatibility and Conflict
Reminder: IT WORKS FOR EVERY GAME VERSION! NEXT GEN OR CLASSIC!
Don't ever dare to ask me "is this mod work on *.** version?"
Why? Because it's a sole DLC mod that doesn't affect any vanilla files!
Except two:
- dlc\bob\data\living_world\merchants\shop_37_city_west_innkeeper.w2ent
- dlc\bob\data\living_world\merchants\shop_18_cocatrice_inn_innkeeper.w2ent
Besides we took the Next Gen files, it should work for any version, even on Classic 1.32 (don't hesitate to report any problem).
We also make sure it's compatible to DLC - Alcohol Factory of Geralt and Omelette Quest Restored.
Then making a compatible version of Healthy Food. They are for Next Gen only
