This mod is simply a Next Gen reupload of this mod: Winter's Blade Overhaul. Please endorse the original mod.
Summary:
Adds completely new mechanics to Winter's Blade. The weapon now functions similarly to Iris.
How to Trigger its effect:
Attack to build up your Adrenaline gauge. As long as you have 1 Adrenaline point, the weapon will be able to build up charges. It takes 3 Quick Attacks to build up and store a load of explosive energy. Attack with a Heavy Attack to unleash the stored energy and create an explosive blast of ice that does massive damage in a small AOE, expending all 3 charges and costing 1 Adrenaline Point.
Installation:
Place the mod in your "mods" folder in the Witcher 3 directory. Make sure to run Script Merger to solve any conflicts. The mod modifies several files so merging is absolutely necessary.
Compatibilities:
The mod also has bundled .xml files, so you will either need to merge or give the mod higher priority over any mods that modify the following files:
- gameplay/abilities/effects.xml
- gameplay/abilities_plus/effects.xml
- gameplay/item/def_item_weapon.xml
- gameplay/item_plus/def_item_weapon.xml
If using my Essential Weapon Rework mod, and I highly recommend you do :), you will need to merge the mods. Select the weapon stats from my Weapon mod, and select the corresponding tag for the winterblade effect from this mod.
