    Important information about the mod:

    • This mod is 100% retroactive and can be installed in the middle of a running playthrough (although you obviously won't get any objectives or
      entries for quests you have already completed).
    • Please be advised that this is a very complex mod at its core and if you install it, you cannot uninstall it mid-playthrough.
    • Localizations fully written/translated manually: English, Russian, Czech, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Japanese, German, Polish, Spanish, Spanish (MX), Korean
    • Localizations fully translated with Google Translate: Arabic, Portuguese, French, Hungarian, Italian, Turkish. If you want to help with the translation, you can find all languages files under the Files/Miscellaneous tab.

    DISCLAIMER: READ BEFORE POSTING
    As I am getting all the same questions posted over and over again, I have to put up this warning message here:

    1) Yes, this mod does work. Yes, all the quests work. They have been tested at least 10 times each, all possible scenarios and they all work. From this point on, if I see a post or a bug report saying "this quest doesn't complete", it will just be deleted.

    2) Yes, the optional "Events" category also work. Merge your scripts.

    3) If you're experiencing an issue when something doesn't complete or doesn't work, you have installed something incorrectly. If you're using the standalone version, make sure you have both MOD and DLC folders installed correctly. If you use BIA version of the mod, make sure BIA is updated to at least version 1.7. Even if you think you did it correctly, check again.

    4) Events mod absolutely must win all the bundled non-mergeable conflicts it may have against any other mod. Likewise, if you're using BIA version, BIA must win all .w2phase, .w2scene and .w2comm conflicts it has with any other mod. Only exception - Progress on the Path. This mod is patched with edits from Events and BIA and therefore must win the conflicts over these mods.

    5) If you're past the point where you can just re-load from before a certain "stuck" quest started, please follow this link to download the fix for the specific quest you want to force to finish. Download the archive and place the folder in your The Witcher 3/dlc folder. This is a one-time installation, after loading the game with the fix, the quest will complete, after which you can safely delete the folder from your PC. Currently I have created workarounds for 4 such quests - Harassing a Troll (mq1006), Caravan Attack (mq1011) and Looters: Codgers' Quarry (mq1014_3), At the Mercy of Strangers (mq1036). If you need a different quest to complete, please ask. Don't install these more than one at a time!

    6) If you truly think there is a bug, please leave a post. Give detailed information and, if possible, provide a save file. Otherwise I will consider it one of the posts mentioned above and it will be deleted.

    Help please someone. My save file is broken and I can't continue the story. On the "Family Matters" quest, at the moment when the Baron tells Geralt about Ciri and the moment of Ciri's race against the Baron should begin, the game crashes. I reinstalled the game and launched a clean one, the save file asked for dlc_events, I installed the DLC - Events (Standalone version) I launch the save, there are no more errors during loading, but the game crashes again on the cutscene. How can I fix this?
    I don't even understand what's going on because right now I only have one mod installed.

      I'm sorry to hear that, but it is not caused by this mod, it doesn't edit anything related to this quest. You can share your save game, I could take a look, but W3 crash reports are pretty useless, so finding the crash reason might be impossible.

      Unfortunately the bug happens when the game is trying to use Ciri replacer. And this is somehow cooked into your savegame. This can easily be tested by typing "Ciri" in the console. The game instantly CTDs. So, I can make you a hackfix here that would skip the horse race and you could continue playing, but this bug will most likely be back the next time there is a Ciri flashback. Do you have an earlier save to go back to? If you got this far you must've gotten through other Ciri replacers, so this bug has appeared later.

      Lol it's really because of Ciri, I just tried to load an old save and switch to Ciri via the debug console, the game crashed. Now I don't even understand how and why this happened.
      The game crashes even on dx 11 version. Idk

    Hi, is it possible to have fix file for Gwent: Skellige Style - part with Gremist please?
    I do have Events and BiA installed (both for New Generation) with several other mods (for example, your Mysterious Merchants)
    I do have card from Ermion, Crach and Sjusta (additionally have informed Crach that Hammond is eliminated)
    Out of curiosity have visited Madman Lugos but option for Gwent is not available, he seats on the throne in Kaer Muire
    Gremist is only serving me with  "leave me be"
    Practicum in Advanced Alchemy - I have done it while ago
    Now I am on the part where I have finished Echoes of the Past and Yeneffer is waiting for me in Hindarsfjall

    p.s. I was stuck with "Caravan Attack" as well (last part where I had to wait to find out what will happen, but Merchant was nowhere to found at Baron's place), used your google drive file and now quest is finished

      I'm sorry, but Gwent quests or Advanced Alchemy are not part of this mod and this issue is not caused by the mod.

      That being said I would try typing this in the console when near Gremist:
      addfact('gremista_dd_start')

    hello,  my price of passage quest is stuck on "waiting for events to unfold" and its been like that for a very long time, i tried download mq3040 but it didnt work, but i downloaded mq1011 for another quest and that worked so i dont really know what to do now.

      It means you haven't found the final encounter. How many times have you met the Redanian guys?

      What do you mean? Ive done the first part of the quest, where i said no, then the quest said wait for events to unfold where the next guards are supposed to show up, but they dont, no matter how long i wait or meditate

      If you only met them once and said no, they will spawn in a different location next, which is in Oxenfurt near the exit to Novigrad Gate. (At least 3 days must pass since 1st encounter).

      yeah its definitely been more then 3 days, and ive been to that same location multiple times, but nothing happens, no cutscene or anything, just says the same thing for me to wait

      Sorry, it's been a while since I made this, so I misremembered. If you don't give them money during 1st encounter, then the 2nd encounter is skipped and you go straight to 3rd encounter, which is behind one of the houses east of Oxenfurt. Here are screenshots of the location, they're waiting for you there. Tested with your save.

    Question, I installed it (BiA version) but the zip only came with the /dlcEvents not the /modEvents, intallation steps says both should come. Thing is, I'm already in the middle, and I completed quite a few side quests before advancing the main quest meaning it may not have appeared yet, but I do think it's not doing anything, could you check if it's truly that? 

    EDIT: I'm trying to read all comments to see what could it be, someone says the BiA version comes with only the dlcEvent file, so I'm thinking if it could be about the compability patch between HDRP - BiA which is giving the problem, since I gave it priority over BiA

      That is right, BIA version only has the DLC folder. I'm not sure what you expect to appear? Just visit one of the locations for the unmarked quests (they're all listed in the description page with links to Wiki page) and see if the journal entry shows up once you activate the encounters. You have to find them in the world yourself, nothing will activate out of nowhere.

      Yea it was indeed the HD rework project that gave the problem, it wasn't that notable until I intalled this where I started noticing them, mistangly thinking it might be this. It honestly took me 4 grueling hours, and I just took it out, restored the files and worked flawlessly. Thx though for fast answer :D

    What mod are the "60 fps" optional files for the quest menu for? Is it for Smooth Gui or something else? And can the non 60 fps files be used wit smooth gui?

      Yes, it's Smooth GUI. You can use the non 60 FPS files with Smooth GUI, but it wouldn't make sense as the journal menu would revert to vanilla 24 FPS.

    Hi.

    Disclaimer, I'm new to moddig Witcher, but learning everyday. Anyways, I'm using the following BIA mods: BIA - TW3 Bug Fix and Restored Content CollectionBIA - LOD Bundle and BiA - HDRP Compatible Patch.

    Also, I'm using your mod (GREAT MOD BTW) DLC - Events (BIA version). For some strange reason that I simply cannot figure out, no matter how many times I read your Disclaimer (it's probably over my head), the DLC events show up on my map (i.e blue exclamation mark with circle around it), but when I go to the location no event is present / happening, despite it showing up on the map, as said.

    I have run Script Merger a few times now, and I do not have any conflicts between any mods. All scripts have also been merged.

    I have run out of ideas. Please, if anyone can shed some light, I would appreciate it immensely. If I need to provide more information, please let me know.

    Thanks in advance (and my apologies if this is a 'stupid question', or if the answer is obvious, but I'm just missing it totally).

      Blue exclamation marks don't come from this mod, but from Progress of the Path. But that mod is designed to work together with Events and BIA. Make sure the PotP mod has priority over BIA mod. Besides that, at what point are you trying to visit the locations? Are you on a fresh playthrough? Maybe the event has already been triggered previously?

      Hi, thank you kindly for getting back to me. I am still relatively early on in my playthrough. I am going to double check my load order / priority order to make sure that PotP mod has priority over BIA. I will revert as soon as I have some feedback, but hopefully that will sort it out.     Just want to get something clarified:
    I want to use Events-BIA with BIA.
    According to your instructions:
    1. "Event" should always have higher prio for the mentioned files.
    2. However, when using BIA with Event-BIA, BIA should have prio? This doesn't sound right, does it?

    In my understanding of the general concepts, the Events-BIA version should have prio over BIA. Right? Maybe you could clarify the prio between them in the instructions a bit?

      The "Event-BIA" version only contains a "dlc" folder. There is no need to assign priority.

      Like Lewis said, there are no conflicts between BIA-Events and BIA, so there is nothing really to clarify.

      I think that person meant if BiA version of Evens should win w2phase conflicts with other mods. I might be mistaken tho

      And I reply the "Event-BiA" doesn't have any "mod" files. It doesn't conflict to any mods.
      What matter the most is that if another mod conflict to Brothers In Arms for the w2phases files, it must be BiA compatible or else BiA should be higher priority.
