    Updated the mod in preparation for next SML version:

        - Improved compatibility with Smart Magic Lamp 3.31 and above.
        - Added Latin American Spanish localization to the optional menu (thanks to Auldrehn).
        - Fixed a misspelling in the English localization of the optional menu.

    You'll need to have this update installed to use the next version of Smart Magic Lamp due to a few changes in shared script functionality on that mod.

    Uploaded a new version of the mod with the following changes:

        - Lowered distant light intensity of the torch while in Kaer Morhen (it was previously too bright compared to the rest of the game);
        - Added an optional GUI menu for tweaking various torch settings, with presets tailored for popular lighting mods;
        - Added a new system to change torch intensity, both globally and by game area, using the optional GUI menu;
        - Added the option to cast more shadows near the torch, enabled using the optional GUI menu.

    The new menu, provided as an optional download, lets you tweak various attributes of the torch and includes quick presets for a few select lighting mods:

    You should be able to get this mod working properly with your favorite lighting or/and reshade mods by changing light intensity for each game area, or simply use the global modifiers to tweak the torch intensity to your liking or to better fit your monitor's calibration.

    You can also choose from a selection of shadow casting setups.
    An upcoming update to SML will detect and use this menu when installed, so lighting is kept consistent across both mods.

      Worked mod doesn't mean it's Next Gen Compatible. Only if the vanilla files hasn't been Updated!!

      THIS MOD NEED TO UPDATE ALMOST ALL THE SCRIPTS!!!!

      Well the bug caused by this mod on NextGen only affect the haptic feedback on using magic lamp and the timer on Hornwall Horn.

      The mod definitely changes the torchlight in Next-Gen, Dx12. So works as intended.

      We already have Natural Torchlight (NEXT GEN) that remove all the issue cause by the mod where playing on Next Gen.

      Can't see any changes to the light, tried a bunch of settings in the config menu. No error messages during install/merging. Any clue what it might be?
      (Latest game version)

      Edit: I had installed the config menu incorrectly, fixed that and now I am getting the same SharedImports error as NeteriXX
      Edit: Getting this error as well "Error [mod0000_mergedfiles]game\gameplay\items\itementity.ws(713): Unknown base class 'W3NaturalTorchlight"
      Edit: Seems that it is a problem with Natural Torchlight and Better Torches Next Gen

      First off, go to the script content of Natural Torchlight and remove "engine" folder if you use Shared Import.
      Don't forget to install the base mod before installed the Next Gen scripts by donkanalle.

    Updated the mod to v4.04 based on donkanalle's v4.01 update. Managed to merge it with an updated version of Smart Magic Lamp and everything seems to work so far. Will still do tests on new quests in NG. You can download the file below. All credits go to @woodbyte for this awesome mod.

      Thank you !!! But I ONLY have your mod installed now and yet I can't see the changes.  Do I need other mods installed for your updated version to work?  Like, do I need to install the GUI mod file too?

      I had a graphical glitch in White Orchard in that cellar. I only had this mod installed, with a localization fix mod as well so I think this mod is probably to blame. Perhaps it's a one-time thing? Still, I can't risk it. I wish this worked, as the default torch light in this game is horrendous.

    Any chance of an update? A 4.03 compatible version would be nice as the mod doesn't really work, the far light effect does nothing in game.

    EDIT: After some testing it does work but it clashes with New Torch FX. Both change same files so won't work together, changing priority essentially turns one on and the other off.

    does anyone know which preset or values are best for the "Immersive Lighting 2.1" ?

      I'd like to know as well. Torchlight seems rather dim with Immersive Lighting, and the existing presets don't help much.

    Tested with NG and doesn't seem to work properly. I can adjust the close up lighting but the distance lighting doesn't seem to do anything.

      More testing and found out it was an error on my end with conflicting with true fires and not having the compatibility patch. It does actually work as intended now. :)
