Hi, nice mod, but unfortunately, i didn't get the ingredient dropped by Eredin to craft the blue and red unique mutagens. Could anyone just tell me the id for those, so i can get them via the additem('') command? I'm playing on 4.04 version. Thanks
Hi. Please download this version: NEW MUTAGENS as it's been done especially for NG 4.04 and packed properly as a DLC so friendly mergeable. There you will find also all the working console commands
@ Sergik1945 First of I want to thank you very much for your work as it is a great idea with adding another 3 tiers of the mutagens and I'm glad that you have chosen Eredin, Caranthir and the Ice Giant. Thank you very much.
I have used your work since a very long time and tweaked it first a bit to make it more conflictless and easier to merge with some other mods of this kind but still it wasn't satysfiying me at all as it caused problems with Unique Mutagens Overhaul mod and also dissappearing alchemy recipes so around a week ago I took the liberty to fully remade this mod for my personal use and turned it nearly fully into a DLC (with the exception of the scripts of course and the rewards.xml which I have changed using the vanilla xml a bit, adding also the Ice Giants vitality as a reward when he get's killed by Geralt, limiting that way the ability to craft all of the strongest mutagens to one per playthrough like you did with Eredin and Caranthir).
Made a few other compatibilities with some other popular mods that use the same rewards file like for example Essential Weapon Rework, Of Viable Swords & Dumplings and a few more that I'm also using. Added proper localization strings for EN and PL languages to make the mod easy to translate to any language used by the game. Tooked ElementaryLewis's advice and added the stats from his post underneath to make those more consistent with Next Gen and FCR3. Added native compatibility with other alchemy mods that I'm using making this mod friendly mergeable and added the mutagens to the Mutagen Tab Alchemy menu made by Lewis (that little felow mod works wonders putting all mutagen recipes into one separate tab and works great even with total overhaul mods like for ex. Vladimir UI). As a bonus I have also made a version (currently using it) that adds 3 new yellow mutagens and coresponding recipes for them to make it consistent with the Restored Content: Yellow mutagens by glassfish777. These mutagens are: master, legendary and the Woodland Spirits Essence mutagen that boost stamina for 15%, 20% and 25%.
@ Sergik1945 I made it just for my own use and won't be publishing it nowhere to follow the rules and for all the respect to your work and effort puted into it but if you want than just PM me and I will send you all the files so you can include them in your mod.
Author seems to have abandoned the nexus mod, everyone is having problems with this mod, decoctions disappear, not everyone has found a solution to this, you tried to contact the author even though you updated the mod but the author later lost track of him, the author did not even answer any of my questions after updating this mod to the new generation I think it would be beneficial for you to share the mod since everyone has the same problem and they cannot solve this problem. You do not need to wait for a response from the author
I've sent him a message also about the files but with no word back ATM, so if he won't answer back in a couple days let's say, than I will publish it here in the comments or as a separate mod.
As a short sneak peak: I've changed the Woodland Spirits essence mutagen to Imleriths endurance mutagen as i thought that if Eredin and Caranthir have one than he deserves also to have it, definitely more than the Leshen. ;-)
Let's just wait a few days and if Sergik1945 won't respond here or in PM than I will publish it giving him the proper credits.
This will be a solution for everyone, I hope he gives you feedback, I told the author to join Wolven Workshop about this mod and they will help, I didn't get any feedback, if he doesn't give you feedback you can share the mod in the comments or on your mod panel :)
TBH I don't think so cause not only the New Mutagens were faulty for the popular disappearing alchemy recipes issue as mostly the fault was on the side of Unique Mutagens Overhaul dlc as I digged up deeper on it cause it bothered my head that not only the Striga decoction recipe was vanishing but a lot other alchemy ones like for example the mutagen transformation ones from Blood & Wine and the newly added (by me) Imleriths endurance mutagen and mostly all was caused by the "a_mutagenoverhaul_overwrites.xml" file left by muffincat1 outside the dlc folder inside his work that meant to add some changes to 2 vanilla files and one of them was the famous Recipe for Mutagen 15 (the Alghoul decoction one) as before I didn't had them (yes them) in my inventory than everything was working fine and I said them cause everytime I had picked up the formula or added it via console/script than always magicaly 2 were added. It's a long story but I found a proper solution for this issue and already left a message in the bug section of the UMO mod.
I will wait a couple days for Sergik1945's answer than will message ElementaryLewis and ask him if I can upload it here or create a new mod page. In the meantime will maybe do a German translation as I also speak in that language but anyway I will include a csv file for translation in the DLC so everyone will be able to translate it to their desired language.
Hi mate, any chance for an update on this? Would be awesome to have a latest version of this mod without the conflicts! Was great work from the author and hope you can continue it on now that they've moved on to other things :)
Hi buddy. I will upload it in few hours. Two versions of it, the original and a Yellow Mutagens expansion, both as DLC's with proper localizations and easyness to translate. Currently we have only English, Polish and German w3strings (all translated by me) and Spanish and Spanish Latin American (made by the great MeveOfLyriaa). Please stay tuned!
It doesn't work fully efficiently, decoctions are lost in the game, this mod is supposed to be compatible with the Mutagen Tab Alchemy mod, but there is no news from the mod author
I take the look how the mod was ported. Here some important information:
Because you create original mutagens, it's recommend to pack them partially "DLC" rather than adding directly to vanilla xml files. Using the "DLC trick" like CDPR did for Temerian Armour will make the mod friendly compatible/mergeable. Look to Unique Mutagens Overhaul for reference.
The Next Gen incorporated FCR3, which modify the way Synergy skill are calculated. Hence the stats aren't consistence to Next Gen stats. Here what I would change:
If you need help for turning this mod into a "DLC", I invite you joining Wolven Workshop. In the meantime, I'll make Mutagen Tab Alchemy compatible to this mod.
Thanks to Lordanar1337, another problem to point out. Don't write string in the XML files! This block the possibility to translate the mod. You have to create w3strings instead so that you can change their text without touching the xml files, and anyone can translate it using w3stringsx.
Please take my feedback. There is a better way making the mod so that they will be friendly mergeable, 100% Next Gen Compatible, and for the entire community that doesn't speak English. We can help you.
I didn't make Mutagen Tab compatible to this mod, but I will do when the author take my feedback so it won't conflict much and correctly be"FCR3" version.
This mod is currently not compatible, my decoctions are lost in the game, this problem will disappear when it is compatible with Alchemy Tab Menu, the mod currently appears as a test version, the mod author needs to contact Lewis for compatibility
When I tried this mod again, I got rid of the script error, but this time I saw that the decoctions were broken in the game, I had to remove the mod, I hope the author will contact you, you can create a compatibility patch for it, I think it will be better like this
