  • Nordheim 4.3.70

    I will need to update the Ashlands in the future, but it will stay largely the same. Basically, if there are Meadows and/or Forest around the Ashlands, they will be changed to Ashlands (when the Ashlands are released). I need to wait till Ashlands are released though for those changes to see how much area is sufficient.)

    Version changes:


    Added a very dangerous area just to the East of the spawn. As long as you are careful, you shouldn't die... hopefully
    Added a raised area around the spawn, along with some rocks to make it feel a little more "unique".
    Fixed a handful of Biome areas and gave the Mistlands a bit more area to help bring the asset spawns closer to 100%. (balance is a pain, ultimate goal is to get it to 100% for all assets for all BI...

  • Nordheim 4.3.50

    Version 4.3.50:

    Map built from scratch, with little carry over from previous version due to hardware failure.

    - Mountains are now much higher than the clouds, and it really feels like you are scaling them.
    - Large Biomes, evenly spaced throughout the map.
    - Most Biome locations are present, tar pits are only  80% of what they could be, but that would have caused other issues with the Biome balance.
    - Ashlands & Deep North are located throughout the map, should be balanced for the future (hopefully).
    - The Ocean Biome cuts through the middle of the map, there are locations that are not accessible by boat (mainly the West part of the map). I attempted to remedy that, but it was at the expense of the beaches looking good, so I decided agai...

  • Nordheim 2.9.2

    Fixed a Ruin Location, size was twice as expected.
    Verified Tin is present on map, the spawn for the ore is working as expected although it can be hard to find due to the high cliffs along the water in places.
    Fixed the Initial Spawn location.

    Completely reworked map!

    Changes:


    The Sea Level is now set to ~ .25
    Balanced out the zones to be a bit easier on starting. (namely moved the plains away from so close to the starting island.)
    Added Fjord style coast interspersed with beaches. (There are still cliffs that are difficult to scale, but I wanted variety).
    Starting area is set to ~ 0,0
    Multiple Plains in all directions, even some that are closer to the starting area.

    Mountains that look like mountains.
    More open Ocean in the middle of the map!

    Rivers that connect all of the landmasses, and some that lead straight to the foot of the Mountains.

    Boss spawns now have themed areas that really go with the terrain.
