Completely reworked map!

Changes:

  • The Sea Level is now set to ~ .25
  • Balanced out the zones to be a bit easier on starting. (namely moved the plains away from so close to the starting island.)
  • Added Fjord style coast interspersed with beaches. (There are still cliffs that are difficult to scale, but I wanted variety).
  • Starting area is set to ~ 0,0
  • Multiple Plains in all directions, even some that are closer to the starting area.
  • Mountains that look like mountains.
  • More open Ocean in the middle of the map!
  • Rivers that connect all of the landmasses, and some that lead straight to the foot of the Mountains.
  • Boss spawns now have themed areas that really go with the terrain.

New Feature:
  • Added 9 Ruins; these locations are spread through the world, and are ideal for including in a build. Some have decently high walls that help to keep out Trolls and other raiding parties without the need to build the terrain up. This should help with performance and gives the world a bit of a lived in feeling.

This is the culmination of over 200 hours of work. The world feels pretty natural, and has some cool hidden features that I brought over from the last map. If you look closely there are also the remains of a famous castle, styled after Castle Buchanan from Scotland hidden somewhere in the mountains. Have fun!
