Hello! What this mod does is turn Starfield's Adoring Fan companion into an adorable (but still annoying) fangirl with a new female voice. Her appearance is fully customizable via the Enhance menu and the trait "Hero Worshiped" was also changed to reflect the gender change. The trait and companion can be added to an existing save, check out the player's room in the Lodge (see below).
In all other respects she SHOULD behave exactly as the original Adoring Fan. This means in order to have her as a companion, the player must have the Hero Worshiped trait and have joined Constellation. If those two things are true, the Adoring Fangirl will spawn and seek out the player near the New Atlantis spaceport or MAST Metro. This mod's voice was created by using ElevenLab's AI driven text to speech generator.
Note: Due to a limitation in the Starfield Creation Kit, lip sync isn't available at this time, so her lips do not move. Unlike the Skyrim CK, the Starfield CK does not have a function to create lips files. Instead, they are embedded in the voice sound files by an external program, presumably FaceFX (which costs $900!!!).If an affordable solution is found, or BGS updates the CK with built in lip sync functionality, I will upload an update to this Creation.(For now, just believe she's a telepath? Could she be reading your every single thought at this very moment?)
*NEW! In-game way of adding the Trait*Any time after joining Constellation, go to your room in the Lodge. On the table opposite of the table is a note. Pick it up and your character will be given the Hero Worshiped trait and her quest will start. Go to the MAST metro and head for the Spaceport. Along the way you should meet her.
*NEW! In-game way of customizing her appearance*When talking to the Adoring Fangirl, the player should see a new option “I want to talk to you about something.” This will be where all of this Creation’s future content will be accessed. There will be the option “I want to change your look”. Selecting this will open up the Enhance menu with the Adoring Fangirl avatar loaded. Change her however you like! Save your work with YOUR character’s name and pronouns, otherwise it will change your character’s name and pronouns. If possible, I’ll try to fix this in a future update.
Installation:
There are hard requirements other than the Starfield.esm
There are two main zip files. One that uses ba2 archives and the other that uses loose files. Install ONE of these zip files, either the archive version or the loose file version, not both, with your favorite mod manager, either Vortex or MO2.
For manual installation, unzip ONE of these files, either the archive version or the loose file version, not both, into your Starfield/Data folder.
In the optional files there is a patch for using Adoring Fangirl with the Crew and Companions Overhaul (CCO). Install it after the main file. Load order should be:
Improved Companions.esm
Adoring Fangirl Nexus.esm
Adoring Fangirl CCO Patch.esm
Note, the maker of CCO has made a new version. I will eventually make a patch for it.
The optional files are her voice files separate from the main download by request. The other optional file is a chargen preset for her when using CharGenMenu.

Troubleshooting
Some users, especially on Xbox, have reported her showing up with no head, male voice, etc…this is most likely because the archive files did not load properly for some reason, or the mod is being overwritten by another mod. In Creations, try deleting the mod from your load order and Bethesda.net. Make a save without it. Then reinstall. Move the creation to the end of the load order. You might have to go back to an old save or start a new game.
I've also got reports of conflicts between audio replacers, even seemingly unrelated ones. Try disabling them and restarting. See if it works. I don't have any advice for getting conflicting audio to work other than choose what is most important and wait till BGS fixes the issue.
For Nexus users. Use a mod organizer and SF1Edit and look for conflicts. Any other file that touches the Adoring Fan could cause problems.
Finally, I HIGHLY recommend SSK Fast Start for testing. With SSK Fast Start is a great creation one can use to test mods by quickly starting a new game. Choose 2, 1, and whatever starting gear when starting a new game. Get the trait from the note if you don’t already have it, fast travel to some other part of the planet, then back to the lodge, then head to the spaceport.
Console Commands (shouldn't be needed)
PC Users Only - For saves without the trait, you can try the following console commands to play with her without starting a new game.
player.addperk 227FD9
resetquest 000effcf
setstage 000effcf 0
This should add the hero worshiped trait to your character and the Adoring Fangirl will spawn in New Atlantis and seek you out IF you have joined Constellation.
PC Users Only - Changing her appearance in game:Go to Enhance and customize your character to whatever you want the Adoring Fangirl to look like.Save your look and exit out of Enhance.Open the console, click on the Adoring Fangirl (or other companion you want to customize) and type "capp player". It will copy your appearance to your companion.Go back to Enhance to change yourself back unless you want to run around as twins.
