The only weather mod that currently adds new weathers. =)
I hope you enjoy this mod!
Weather has always been one of the things that keeps me playing Bethesda games. Based on what I've learned of how things are coded, adding new weathers specific to planets should be very easy and fun once Creation Kit comes out.
Don't like a weather?
Please let me know the climate you were in (Mountain, desert, rocky desert, swamp, frozen, no atmosphere, etc) as well as the name of the planet. Climate (biome) is actually more important.
Coming from Creations? You are using Royal Weathers Lite. Please say so, as well as your platform. Not that there are any bugs with the lite version, but it could help me narrow down the incompatibility you are experiencing or imagining.
Is there a version that doesn't increase the frequency of the adverse weathers? I play with stronger environmental impact, and each time there is a storm or something, I'm having to leg it back to the ship, and they can take days to clear. So I keep having to take off and land somewhere else, and its near guaranteed that I cant walk more than 1 km away from the ship before some life threatening adverse weather hits. Meaning, its near impossible to explore planets, because there is never a clear day. I'd like everything else that this mod does, apart from the increased frequency. Is that possible, or should I be looking at a different weather mod for that experience? I just want more ambience than what the vanilla game gives.
okay, thank you, I'll try the Desolate version. I remember what a difference True Storms made to my skyrim experience, and always felt that graphically, weather was under portrayed by Bethesda. Their vanilla rain in Starfield feels like what we'd call "spotting" in England. Just a pitter patter, that would barely get you wet.
Just wanted to say thanks - the weathers add great variety and make exploring so much more interesting. Combined with survival this completely changes how I approach the game - cheers!
Hi, since you seem to be the weather person for starfield, any idea why bUseSecondarySun=0 causes clouds to disappear at sunset? Why would a lighting tweak mess with the clouds? Is there a different tweak that would fix this?
The game is meant to be played with the secondary sun to add some "fake" light, when you turn it off all kinds of minor issues happen, but some people find it worth it for immersion.
I am new to your mod and this is my first time playing with ini files, could you please tell me, under your section of the description page you have these settings values [Rain And Fog Tweaks].
Are these settings supposed to go under the weathers part of the custom.ini?
Also would you be willing to release your Custom.ini files for reference?
It definitely improves the experience for those who like to explore/spend time on planets. One improvement could be Vectera, simply because you can end up in very hazardous weather during the intro, which you aren't really able to prepare for.
1) Your description suggest to place royal weather early in the load order, yet LOOT places it firmly at the bottom. Any ideas?
2) Also, are the custom.ini configs pinned in this Post Thread intended to be used with the only weather version? (In addition to your suggestions in the main description)
LOOT is only as reliable as the time people put into it.
It shouldn't matter much unless you play with other weather or specific weather mods, especially now that i've patched some of the popular planets and such.
Hello, regarding adjustments to StarfieldCustom.ini, there are suggested settings under Description, Miscellaneous files, and Posts. Which of these should I refer to for the settings?
Secondly, concerning Weather Transitions, I've noticed that sometimes the transition between weather conditions is particularly abrupt. In StarfieldCustom.ini, fWeatherTransitionSpeedMultiplier doesn't have a specific value set. In the latest version, is it still necessary to set a specific value for the speed of weather transitions?
Good Evening, just a quick message to ask about some files. Does your royal weathers version 1.5 include the 8K Galaxy as well as the other textures? Or do I need to install that seperate? There is a pack down in optionals that states that it has these textures. If you could provide some details on the right way to install that would be awesome. Thanks a heap.

If that doesn't work for you, you honestly just want vanilla weather.

Thanks Bunches.
[For example]
I just make up categories whenever I want to organize things in the .ini.
The Starborn royalty mod list has my last posted configs, which are more elaborately tweaked than what I have now. :)

The config tweaks can be used for anything :)
