I hope you enjoy this mod!

Weather has always been one of the things that keeps me playing Bethesda games. Based on what I've learned of how things are coded, adding new weathers specific to planets should be very easy and fun once Creation Kit comes out.

    Don't like a weather?

Please let me know the climate you were in (Mountain, desert, rocky desert, swamp, frozen, no atmosphere, etc) as well as the name of the planet. Climate (biome) is actually more important.

Dislike the idea of encounter tweaks and fixes?
Please use the optional Vanilla patch to revert my very subtle encounter rate changes and fixes back to Vanilla.

I would like to see a full vanilla Earth patch reason is Earth has NO Atomsphere anymore (that is part of the lore and story) so it should not have weather.

Will it be possible to intervene in the biomes of the planets? Like adding plants or animals, modifying creatures. Or create new biomes or planets? Will you ever take this step? ☺️

      Actually, yeah.

Royal Ashta works this way, and there are 3 planets overhauled in Royal Galaxy. I could do more, but it's hard to come up with lore justifications.

Thanks for the mod is very interesting! I would like to clarify two points. The first is that there are always no clouds at night. But in the morning they appear abruptly. What should we do about it? The second point relates partly to the first. I noticed that when there are no clouds, it still rains. How can I change the INI settings or is it built-in?

Wow. My comment has been removed when nothing bad as been said.

So, posting a FACT about something you says that is untrue leads you to delete a comment. Deleting a comment explaining you have said something wrong will not make what you said into something true.

Or there is another option, just accept you said something WRONG and change that instead of acting like that.

I said it again: There IS rain in New Atlantis, Paradiso and Akila City unlike what you say in description.
Accept it instead of acting in a childish way and delete a comment.

I've gotten a handful of comments recently that I don't like the tone of-- like this one, and like your previous one. All from people who have not actually downloaded or tried my work.

I would rather not appear unresponsive or inactive to people who have useful or constructive things to discuss, but I also don't want to respond to posts with a tone like yours. I am not here to debate or engage in pedantry. I am here to share and support my work. Do you think I enjoy writing mod descriptions? Do you think I have a team of editors to make sure I do it perfectly?

I will readily exercise my privilege as the person who made this to delete things I would rather not see or respond to. I think that is preferable to locking comments entirely. It is on my To Do list to update the stickies on all of my mods with some guidelines for the types of comments that are acceptable. I am saddened that it has become necessary for me to do so.

I do not wish to be a forum moderator for every passing thought someone has that is relevant to my mod. It is a waste of my time and not at all enjoyable for me. Responding to unpleasant posts like yours is joyless for me, so I have no intentions of making that a regular part of my life.

I am a human being who works on this stuff when I am tired after work and on my weekends.

But here, let me take my time to respond to rather than enjoying some free time in my evening:

In Vanilla, Paradiso has 2 weathers: WeatherUniqueParadisoClearHazy and WeatherUniqueParadisoPartlyCloudyC3Clear. I just looked for the third time in xEdit just for you, just as I did the last time you posted on my mod. If either of those somehow triggers rain, it is news to me and did not show up in my testing.

In Vanilla, New Atlantis has a surprising diversity of weather compared to many locations. It has misty and foggy weathers, but it has nothing labeled as a rain or thunderstorm. I added both.

Akila does have one rain weather at a 10% chance, but the other 90% of weathers are pretty similar (big picture) without the potential for many cool ones. In my mod descriptions, I am trying to convey general information. Anyone who wants to see 100% how things worked can download xEdit and compare my file version Starfield.esm. It takes two seconds.

I'm not going to pull up every weather to debate you. In the mod description, I was just giving an example of how vanilla tends to work.

Have a nice day. Maybe if you actually download the mod, the nice weathers will cheer you up, but it seems like you haven't even downloaded any Starfield mods yet.

Dude, why are you picking this fight? Even if you were right there is no need to be so rude, remember modders dont get paid anyway.

      @JaeDL
      Thanks for the great mod

Again, people who don't even have anything to say about something join and comment but we don't care, we post comment to the mod author.

Most of you are people who are just pedant and calling other people "aggressive" when the only one here who act with shitty behaviors is you, being a member or a mod author.

Already known that Nexus was a pretty biaised group but that's even worst.

For the author, when you release a mod and open the comment you accept that we can post comment, deleting those YOU think not being good will not magically fix your mod or make false affirmations you made suddenly true. Accept it.

I will not waste more time with stubborn people.

Is there a way to have weather persist between Atlantis districts? I was at my parents house, it was sunny morning, went to MAST and its heavy clouds then to spaceport  and its sunny with clear sky ;)

EDIT: ok, saw the answer below :D

I'm sorry, may be I missed something, but in New Atlantis when I use tram I have different types of weather in any location. If I have clear sky in spaceport, it is rainy weather in commercial district and conversely. Can I do something with it?

This is how the weather works in vanilla. A cell change changes the weather.

    Hi Jae,

Quick question.  I am cleaning up my custom ini file, and I am deleting any line item that happens to also be equal to the default value of the specific ini setting.

I noticed, you list quite a bit of settings that happen to be the default value (not talking about the commented out lines, but actual execute lines).

If I delete a ini tweak that was already at default value from your custom ini's, will the game still launch that setting?  I ask only for clarification, just in case you listed those specifically because if they aren't listed they don't launch or something.  I have no idea.  But thought I would ask since I cleaned out my ini and not sure if I should of kept those or not.

    Thank you!

      No worries!

Nope, those are just there because I copied and pasted the whole thing the way mine was. Some of them might be there because of good tweaking potential even if left unused-- others, for no real reason except it was present in mine.

Don't install the textures-- that way, mod has 0 effect on performance.

It could also be the ProcGen ini tweaks if he used the ini file suggestions.

Brilliant mod! The only thing I'm missing is taking into account the temperatures between biomes on the planet. It doesn't matter whether you are in the desert or the North Pole, the temperature is the same everywhere.
