Final Version until Bethesda's wonky official implementation needs adjustments in the coming months.
Changes:
Reworked much of the core and prioritization process of Shader adjustment values.
Implementation of HDR Black Floor Fix
Implementation of DCI-P3 & BT.2020 Colorspaces, No longer are you locked into just HDR Brightness / Dark Details!
Gamut Adjustment: 1.1 was slightly oversaturated by default, which sometimes caused many reds and yellows to clip. Gamut compression has been added to bring it more in line.
Darker Base Floor, Less noticable grey filter over dark areas caused by the game filters (I still recommend ReducedLuts 66%)
Added Optional Presets that may better fit your personal calibration, or if you prefer abit more "Pop!" or a "Mega Pop!" for both Standard and Color Correction Presets
Color Correction tuned down, Version 1.1 had far too strong of a blue hue. Brings it more in line to look more natural. These are meant to be used with LUT's that respect the original ones in some shape or form.
Color Correction Peak Nit Brightness now has fixed values. Shouldn't be under or over the peak brightness preset you choose to use
Peak Nit Brightness values now cap out at exactly the Nit Brightness or .6 at max short of it. No over or under.
Support for more Peak Nit Brightness Displays - HDR 700, HDR 850, HDR 1200, HDR 1500, HDR 2000
HDR10 mode support is out, Enjoy! If you need help with Installation check out the guide!
Tip for OLED Display Enjoyers or if you have a display where you can adjust "Fine Tune Dark Areas" or any sort of Dark Tuning setting. I highly recommend tuning it to -3to -7 (if you're on a LG OLED) around these values will give you a complete black floor with the exception of a few LUT's that raise the black level higher than what Bethesda considers.. normal. This will give you wonderful pitch blacks without crushing detail.
This sadly can't be done with shaders without absolutely crushing detail, so this is the best advise I can give for this solution.
You should be able to use scRGB, to my knowledge all HDR compatible displays should be able to use scRGB mode.
If you have the Frame Generation mod you'll be limited to HDR10 (this is limited to Native HDR capabilities atm I believe) I'll eventually get around to releasing a HDR10 variant tuned exclusively for that mode soon enough for those who want to use FG and and a better alternative to Auto HDR. scRGB offers a better overall quality and wider color gamut than HDR10. HDR10 offers better and brighter highlights but sacrifices color quality.
We are developing a true native HDR mod with loads of other improvements as a follow up to the AutoHDR mods, join the Discord server here: https://discord.gg/asmQbRhBmn
This mod is awesome, thank you! How would I go around on tweaking it to VESA DisplayHDR 1400? I looked in to the files, but saw that between the 1200 and 1500 option the change is more than a few numbers. Could you please help? (I'm playing with framegen).
For LG OLED users, I assume we want to turn off tonemapping in the LG control panel (or maybe use HGIG)?
There is a clear pop in highlights and lighting with 'On' and blacks don't appear crushed, but I think OFF or HGIG look more natural and realistic. Not sure which I prefer yet as I've really only ran around Neon a bit.
Using HDR10 variant with Lukes DLSS/FG mod, everything seems to work well except a few warnings on lilum's shaders in Reshade.log, but seems to work pretty well overall regardless.
First of all, thank you very much for this mod! I would consider this one of the things that makes this game playable at all for me.
I did have a question about the preset file. I notice that in the HDR10 1000 Nits preset, it looks like on the techniques config line, that PreGravity@computeGravity and PreGravity@Gravity are enabled, but in the ReShade menu in game, they are not enabled. Could you confirm which behavior is correct?
thanks for your mod. I have the same problme as "inphra1" user : It says "ERROR" inside the name/description of the Lilum "filter" within the main window of ReShade. I used to quit the game and launch it again and it worked
Hello, I follow your step all the way and I am pretty sure everything is working correctly but the color banding still bugs me in the menu. Do color banding show up if I have everything set up correctly? I just want to make sure since banding still pretty atrocious on my menu screen.
Banding will be introduced in the pause menu but this was the trade off for no sun and sky banding, I totally feel you though, I certainly wish there was a way to have both without raising other issues.

Regular DLSS mod works for both modes though!

ImageSpaceBufferFormat = 2
UpgradeUIRenderTarget = true
UpgradeRenderTargets = 2
FrameBufferFormat = 2 ?
I still have the error
Also my .toml file is
ImageSpaceBufferFormat = 1
UpgradeUIRenderTarget = true
UpgradeRenderTargets = 2
FrameBufferFormat = 1
if I set FrameBufferFormat to 2 (SRGB) all is grey ingame
Be sure to update Native HDR and set your toml file accordingly.
No complain for everything else though.
