I dont know about StarUI, i assume you have to change the Font setting in it's config file, since the default NB Architekt font families doesn't have lowercase letters.
Icon sorting tag also uses NB Architekt so it won't be compatible. unless they decide to change font, there's nothing i can do.

I made a patch for Icon Sorting Tags v0.11. Just use the NOCAPS - No FontConfig version of this mod. It seems to be working fine for me. I just replaced the Architekt fonts with the Grotesk fonts that the mod already contained. HERE is the link for the patch. Just drop it in \Starfield\Data\interface\.

Same deal. Made one for v0.12

i wrote a simple script to do the conversion. it's available here. you can modify it to make it work with other languages.

It appears even the light version of this mod does not work with Starfield String Sharpener - A Font Replacement or am i just dumb?

Not working for me with Starfield String Sharpener either, although I suspect it's the Icon Sorting Tags mod that's actually conflicting with NO CAPS.

The Helvetica Mod displays lowercase where it was used by the developers (which leads to weirdness like this https://i.imgur.com/zSnueic.png ) but isn't compatible with Icon Sorting Tags. Starfield String Sharpener is compatible with Icon Sorting Tags, but doesn't present lowercase.

I just want a not-bad font and some lowercase letters with icons that tell me what an item actually does before navigating three menus, but I can't seem to get all three at once.

@Pikado3 I looked into the Starfield String Sharpener mod. The font it's using doesn't have any lowercase letters. That's why it won't work. You have to use a different font.

@LakeSolon Icon Sorting Tags is using the default NB Architekt font which also doesn't have any lowercase letters.

This completely breaks icon sorting tabs (https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/312). Is it possible to make it so this mod excludes de-capitalizing strings where it matches some sort of symbol? I dont know what format the icons are, but hopefully its possible.

try remove fontconfig_en.txt from this mod

      edit:
icon sorting tabs is using the default game font, which doesn't have lowercase letters. you will have to ask the author to use another font or i will make a patch when i have the time.

I just wanted to say thank you for this. I know others are debating why this mod even exists, but it goes perfectly with the Helvetica Font mod from bonobot.

I wondered what this actually did, but I get it now. It basically has words correctly depicted. Capital letter first with lower-case following. All capitals in the net world is seen as `shouting`. But it's interesting since in games the understanding  is to make words clear, not perfect, like in comic books since there are other things to show the context.

But still good for those who need it.

Not using all caps is basically graphic design 101. Kinda weird seeing it be a constant thing in such a big game.

if you would actually pay attention to the images and not spout graphic design 101, you could see that it was made on purpose...

I dunno if you misunderstood my comment or what.
I'm saying what Bethesda did with the game using all caps for almost everything was literally the first thing I learned not to do in Graphic Design class.
Even with it being Comic Sans, this mod is preferable to vanilla.

It's an aesthetic choice that goes with the theme of the game.  There are valid cases to put something in all caps and something that is written out as digital text is likely one of them.

I'm not saying to not use this mod.  What one wants to do is their choice and sometimes people don't like certain things.  It doesn't bother me personally but I still thought to look at this mod when I saw it. ;)

Gotta have to agree with shinji, it's perfectly fine in this case. Not saying you shouldn't be able to use the mod, but it's not like it somehow makes the game worse (in an objective sense)
