Hi! I just wanted to reach out and say I made edits of this version of Abigail for other festivals. I could send you the files if you are at all interested in seeing them or adding them to your mod! I'm only using them for personal use, but I would love for other people to get more use out of your designs :) Your version of Abigail's hair is so cute <3
They haven't shown any activity in like 2-ish years so I don't know if they'll respond :( But if they say yes I for sure want to do all the others as well! It would take a while to do all of them tho but I'd love to do them!
I really love their version, I don't know how similar I can do my own versions without being like a 1-1, also I'm not very good at pixel art either it wouldn't look as nice, I'm doing some fast edits for my personal save atm, but I'll update you if I decide to do my own from scratch!
So, I found a pretty easy work around for this to work in 1.6. Install the Seasonal Outfits mod and download the files for this mod. Open the file for Seasonal Outfits and find the Assets folder. All you need to do is replace all of the assets for Abigail in the Characters and Portraits folders with the corresponding assets from this mod. It's worked perfectly for me so far!
Hi!!! I love this hair!!! Can you give me permission to change her style whit this hair, colors, clothes, and put for download whit the your due credits?
It keeps on saying this in the log: [SMAPI] Skipped mods[SMAPI] --------------------------------------------------[SMAPI] These mods could not be added to your game.[SMAPI] - Seasonal Abigail/assets because it's an empty folder.
litr every mod this creator makes doesnt work for me, I LOVE THEM, but it says their just empty folders.. i follow the instructions step by step, and i've tried every single npc multiple times, is it possible for anybody to help me??
SInce you are replacing the old assets folder with abigail, does that mean that only abigail will look different? if I replace the assets folder doesn't that delete everyone else's folder and have them go back to normal?
Copying two folders of the same name into the same directory usually is handled by your OS to MERGE (sub-)folders and OVERWRITE files with the same name. The asset-folder of this replacement-mod only contains the files for Abi - so that's all it 'replaces' - all other character's textures will stay as they are. Just read the description - it's using precise language for a reason:
> Open the new unzipped file and copy the folder named assets. The files will replace the Abigail files from the Seasonal Outfits mod...
It instructs you specifically to COPY the folder...
> Open Seasonal Outfits and paste the folder you copied from my folder. A prompt should come up asking if you want to replace existing files.
It doesn't instruct you that YOU should 'replace' anything - just copy it over and when it asks you to replace duplicate files, accept. Done.
If you use a mod manager, like Stardrop, you shouldn't need to worry about merging or deleting anything, file-wise. It will handle the necessary changes to get the mod to work without actually modifying the original files. This means that all you need to do to test things is add the mod through your manager and enable it. Then, to restore everything back to normal, just disable the mod. Uninstalling it should usually be unnecessary, since disabling should preventing it from having any kind of effect on your other assets or mods.
@Waveshaper2nd This doesn't work for MacOS, the only option is to replace the entire folder with the copied folder. So anyone playing the game on a mac as opposed to a PC is going to have the issue that Sunshower2xa is concerned about, especially as it's not noted in the description that those steps only work on PC.
Is there a way to use this with the Leah revised Seasonal mod as well? Sorry if this is a simple answer or dumb question, not so good with the tech stuff. LOL! Thanks for making this mod, it's lovely! ♥
Well, it's practically explained on the description page of the mod. This here are only replacement-textures for the mod; (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5450) - so IF you use Poltergeister's **Seasonal Outfits** you copy the files of this mod OVER the ones from Seasonal Outfits. All other character's textures will stay the original Poltergeister's ones. So if you also want to use a replacement for Leah, you're just doing the same with those textures - each replacement only overwrites the textures for the character in question.
If you DON'T use the **Seasonal Outfits** mod though, this here isn't for you to begin with - there's a link to a standalone version of this replacement for people who want to replace vanilla textures - and that version is a standalone mod (Content Patcher) to begin with, so you don't have to replace any files by hand.

If not, can I do it? Obvi with credits for doing the original mod!
What do I do?
