It's not working :( the problem is that I won't know which of the 50 mods I use is causing the conflict, I imagine it will be a recolor of the interface as it changes the frame, but even if I found out, I wouldn't know how to fix it.
Very cool mod, I actually crossed over it a few days ago not getting what it does, then found out what it can do so I searched it. Very cool, simple mod! Thank you for the hard work you put into this.
Had the same error with Vintage Interface Multipack. Thankfully, multipack version has a config file. Setting "Portrait - Just the Frame": "enabled" seem to help.
Love this mod Everything works but I don't see any frame around the character no matter what color I have it set to. Not sure what could be interfering with it? Any ideas?
I have the latest versions of SMAPI and Content Patcher installed however my game wont load with this mod installed. I get to loading a profile but the game stops responding trying to load my save file. I have no other mods installed so it cant be a compatibility error. Any ideas?
I have since installed another content patcher mod which works just fine. However when I put the Seasonal display mod back in the mod folder the game stops responding when i try to load a save file. When i delete the mod it runs fine. Ive also reinstalled both content patcher and smapi and redownloaded the mod file
That's weird. And there is no any error in your log. I'm sorry to say I don't know why it made your game not respond. I even asked modding discord, but there's no answer. :(
Hey, I wanted to use your mod with Vintage Interface Multipack by maythorn but when i start my game Smapi says :
[Content Patcher] Two content packs want to load the 'LooseSprites\daybg' asset (Seasonal Display Background and Vintage Interface Multipack). Neither will be applied. You should remove one of the content packs, or ask the authors about compatibility. [Content Patcher] Two content packs want to load the 'LooseSprites\nightbg' asset (Seasonal Display Background and Vintage Interface Multipack). Neither will be applied. You should remove one of the content packs, or ask the authors about compatibility.
When I play the game it seems to be "working" I havn't yet see if those anything bad but i'm still worried.
It seems this mod may not wholly compatible with some Interface mods. I never used Vintage Interface, so I'm not sure if it's configurable. Or you may remove the background from the interface mod. @_@
Also, just so you know, we don't need to include the config.json in the zip we make for Nexus. SMAPI will generate it when the game is run for the first time. This is useful so that people can overwrite the files in the future instead of deleting the whole mod first (unless you need them to for file structure reasons). They'll keep their config setting too, whereas if they overwrite with the current set up, it will overwrite their config too.
I really like the mod and look forward to using it in the future! Thank you for making it :)

Edit: I dled your mod today. & I am getting the same error that AlexandraOslo got I am using. Vintage Interface V2 (Content Patcher)
EDIT: A fix for this is to:
- open [CP] Vintage Interface V2>Content.json
- search for "daybg"
- select everything from the 1st "{" before "LooseSprites/daybg" to 1st "}," (comma included) after "LooseSprites/nightbg" and delete.
- then save
This will stop vintage interface from trying to change the background. It's probably not the cleanest solution, but it works for now.Everything works but I don't see any frame around the character no matter what color I have it set to. Not sure what could be interfering with it? Any ideas?
In my mod's case, the frame color is "disabled" by default, you may need to turn on the "toggle" in config.json to "enabled".
Anyway, I had added 3 Optional Files, for each frame color. You can choose to download each of them. They're no need to edit the config.
