Is this mod compatible with Stardew Valley Expanded/East Scarp/Free Love/etc?
Yes! Ridgeside Village has no known incompatible mods so far. However, this is not to say no issues will arise when mixing and matching mods on an existing save - It just means you will have to manually fix these issues the first time they appear. See our common bugs wiki page for more info.
Does RSV work on mobile?
Yes, but only for the 1.5.6 version of Stardew, which requires more framework mods - Please refer to the detailed install guide here.
How do I install this mod?

Can I add RSV to an existing save?
Yes, you can! Please see this section of the install guide for information about mid-save installs.

Help! There's a bunch of trees on top of the buildings!
Random trees and bushes in odd places are caused by updating RSV from a pre-2.0 version. Use the unofficial update version of Reset Terrain Features to clear them.
Why isn't X's heart event triggering?
If you're having trouble triggering an event, we recommend using Event Lookup to see what conditions you have yet to meet.
Where are the Ridgeside villagers in vanilla festivals?
By default, Ridgeside's characters have their own area for any festival held in Pelican Town that's located a bit outside the normal festival map. (Eg. By the fountain in town, across the bridge on the beach.) You can disable this option in the config settings.
The game keeps crashing while loading, but I'm not getting any errors in my log?
This occurs when you overload your machine and cause the current process to hang. To prevent this, wait patiently while the game loads and do not touch anything! It will load eventually, we promise. Please see the note below as well.
Help, it's taking forever to load!
Any large mod will take a long time to load the first time you load a save with it. After saving once, the load time should decrease significantly. You can try going to Farm Type Manager's config settings and changing "Monster Limit Per Location" to 30 or so to decrease lag in-game. You should also make sure not to have any obsolete mods like PyTK or TMXL installed.

Compatibility with Other Mods
As mentioned above, RSV is pretty much compatible with any mod out there because it barely messes with vanilla content outside of a tiny patch on the Bus Stop and Backwoods maps. However, a few mods modify game mechanics in a way that can sometimes overlap with RSV - the issues and their solutions are detailed in the link below.

Diverse Stardew Valley
Adds seasonal outfit compatibility for vanilla NPCs during Ridgeside festivals and adds diversity compatibility to Lenny, Bert and Trinnie.
Leilani (NPC for Ridgeside Village)
Leilani is the mother of Keahi and the wife of Pika. She is from Ember Island in the Fern Islands archipelago (like her husband!) and works away from the valley for most of the year, but every summer she comes back to spend time with her family.
Sam & Alissa - Rival Heart Events
Some events for Sam and Alissa, with a platonic route and a romantic route! The romantic route includes a married version where they live together and a family version where they have a child.
OrangePie's portrait mods
OrangePie has created alternative portraits for the bachelors, bachelorettes, 1.0 NPCs, and 2.0 NPCs. Their portrait of Leilani is included in the 1.0 NPC bundle, and their portrait of June is available here.
Aura's Portrait Mod (Ridgeside)
Aura has created alternative portraits for all the 1.0 NPCs. They are working on adding the 2.0 NPCs as well.

"[Ridgeside Village (Smapi component)] RSV's extra music add-on is no longer needed in this version of the main mod. You may delete the music add-on mod."
I extracted the Music mod and added it on tge mods folder, not in RSV folder. Can anyone help me? I just wanted to hear the music in Ridgeside village area.
The problem I'm dealing with is that there is no music in the Ridgeside Village area in the fall season (no clue about winter yet). Like, nothing at all. No ambient wind sounds and such either. Just footsteps and other sounds like that. In the surrounding areas, like the Ridge, there is the standard ambient music, and I believe I've heard (vanilla) fall music there too. It's just the village that is always deathly silent.
If I disable Ridgeside music in Ridgeside Village's config, the standard, vanilla music appears again in the village as well.
Here's my SMAPI log. On a quick glance, I'm not seeing any errors or warnings related to Ridgeside, besides a single one about a warp to Walk Through the Desert. Doubt that is it, but then I'm not experienced at parsing these things anyway.

I have installed the music mod as a separate mod in the Mods folder (through Stardrop mod manager). Just double checked, and it is separate, not part of the Ridgeside folder.
Small update on the issue: I am getting vanilla fall music in the village now. No clue why it changed. I haven't added or removed any mods, nor messed with any settings. So at least it's not so eerie at the moment, but I still don't seem to be getting custom music. Is it correct that most of the heart events just play vanilla music? Because while I feel like I've heard music before that I haven't heard in vanilla, most heart events just seem to play vanilla music.
Another update: My laptop does play custom music, at least during cutscenes, even though I've installed it there by literally copying over my entire mod folder. Configs and installed mods are all the exact same between PC and laptop. The only difference I can think of is that my PC runs Windows 10, and my laptop Windows 11. I've tried reinstalling Ridgeside and the music mod, and now it does play vanilla ambient music at least, but still no custom music.
And now I have the Quest Preparations Complete! But nothing happens when I enter the ninja house.
I tried for 2 in-game weeks and checked daily. But nothing.
