Skewering live invertebrates on barbed hooks in order to trick unsuspecting marine life into snagging their jowls on said hooks and being forcibly ripped from their natural habitat in a macabre game of tug-of-war is barbaric, primitive, and downright cruel.
Also, it has been scientifically proven that there is a better way. I'd explain the process myself, but I could never do as good a job as thisvideo documentary:
That's what this mod does, literally.
To perform the above proven method of fish acquisition, simply equip a fishing rod, then right-click anywhere on a body of water where fishies live, and wait for the inevitable.
Finally a non-violent, scientifically-proven means of acquiring fish in Stardew Valley! You're welcome :)
Also, if you right-click a second time, right after the farmer jumps (you have 1/10th of a second to do it), you can get a perfect catch.
Fits well with Pacifist Valley.
Limitations
I'm not sure it works with legendary fish yet.
