I've been using your mods for years and I love them. I recently reformated Windows. I redownloaded Vortex to the same drive as Steam for easier modding (it was on C: before). I had to add all of my mods in the fresh Vortex by downloading them anew. I'm getting an error in SMAPI telling me that several mods are crashing due to a missing path to the config.json. I'm not sure how to fix it. Any ideas?

    Here's my SMAPI log.

      Hey there Cybele!

Thank you for your continuous years of support :)

After looking at your log, it does looks like it maybe be a case of SMAPI looking in the wrong spot. I would double check your Launch Options for the game on Steam to make sure it's pointing to the D drive instead of the C drive. I'm thinking it's almost a case of you moving it to another drive. Also check to see if Vortex is pointing to the D drive as well!

      Hopefully that helps :)

I played with this mod a long time. Lately it just stopped working, i checked it on 90% decrease and i get a lot of damage..recently i added a few new mods, i guess its one of them that makes it not work.
There are no red lines in smapi regarding this.
How do i post an error log here?
    Thank you!

      Hi there!

Yep it sounds like a mod could be interfering. Did you add a mod that changes anything with combat or adds elements of combat?

Could you give me the list of mods you recently added and I could look into it!

I was looking to see mods that relate to combat.
I removed "The mines shifting monsters", "elemental forces" (relatively new, comes with a "code" folder) and its still not working.
The other big mod i added was Visit Mt Vapius, i added it to another save where the combat made easy works, and its fine.
Maybe its a combination of things.
I have a lot of mods, around 130 atm.
This mod made my game life so much better, i set it to be on my comfort zone, having a challenge without stressing too much, I will go over the mod list again,
      Thank you so much ♥

      Hi there!

This mod does with work SVE but in a limited capacity. The monster settings only work for vanilla monsters due to a coding structure that SVE uses for monsters that can't be edited by Content Patcher. Pretty much all vanilla aspects of the mod will work though! Just SVE content and items will not be affected. Maybe one day though :)

    Hi I use a mod that adds items to monsters item pools(More Boots), and for a reason i've yet to discover this mod seems to be in conflict with it. It prevents the custom items from dropping from the monsters they are supposed to. I'm open to suggestions. ^^;;

Update1: A clean install of the mod with no changes to config has the mod behaving correctly. I suspect the setting for drop rate will break it

Update2: Drop rate setting causes the issue. Tested with all other settings.

      Hi there!

This isn't something that can be fixed unfortunately. Not unless the coding for monsters, specifically monster drops gets updated by Stardew Valley directly.

The coding for drop rates is one single field or line of data. When I configured the drop rates for all items, the whole line has to be edited. When other mods add new items to that line, Combat Made Easy Suite just overrides it back with the single line for the original items. You can disable the drop rate settings without removing the mod and it'll go back to normal.

      A couple things:

The only way to get around this is if I add support for the mod in question, which could take some time. If you provide me with the mod in question, I could add it to a list of possible mod support updates.

The coding for monster drops is still under the pre-1.6 coding. I did bring it up to the Stardew devs a while back, so there's a chance the coding for monsters will be converted to post-1.6 at some point. This just basically means that the coding in the future could separate item drops without using a single line like it is now, so mods can add in new items without affecting any changes or additions from other mods.

I hope that answers your question :)

Hi, thank you for the informative response, I really appreciate it!
As for the mod in question More Boots
      It would definitely be better if the monster drops code gets updated to 1.6 before compatibility gets added. Seems like the better solution overall. ^^;;

Sorry to butt in, but from what I understand the drop rate option prevents custom items from dropping from monsters? As this is the only option I use in this mod, would it be possible at some point to add compatibility for the mod Alchemistry? It has various witchy ingredients dropping from some of the monsters (similar to bat wings) that are key to crafting much of the stuff available through that mod.

      Thank you for consideration :)

      Hi there!

I have actually found a way to add compatibility for both More Boots and Alchemistry!

Looks like both authors have updated the coding to make it not interfere with mods such as Combat Made Easy Suite. Just need to make some changes on my end and I'll include it in the next update 6.0.8 (tomorrow)! :)

The only thing is, right now, the loot drop chances will not be changed for the mod compatibilities. It'll just readd the loot ontop of any setting that is used. So the chances of those items from each mod will remain the same. Just would be too much extra effort at this time!

Is there any other mods you know of that also has compatibility issues with Combat Made Easy Suite? I may look into adding any mod that has potential like these ones if the conditions are right!

      -Legacy

*Update* Version 6.0.8 has been released that adds compatibility for those mods :) Thanks again!

Wow you updated it so fast! I did not expect it at all let alone the next day LOL, legend!

So if I use 2X droprate for example, it will apply 2X for vanilla loot, but it will add Alchemistry's loot as 1X (vanilla chance) but it will still drop. I think that is perfectly reasonable and pretty much exactly what I wanted :) Thank you so much!

I can't think of any other mods that add monsters or monster loot at the moment but if I do run across one I'll be sure to give you a shout :)

      Hi there!

I'm not familiar with that mod or what it does. But you can look through this mod's settings "List of Settings" which is on the mod's main page to find out what this one does!

      Hi there!

This is currently not possible with the trinkets being hardcoded into the game. Basically, the mod can only configure so much right now as the game is still using a data format for Monsters from before 1.6. There may be an update in the future for Stardew that will de-hardcode the Monsters data. Which then I'll be able to have a little more freedom to make those kinds of changes and additions.

Hope you understand and have a fantastic day!! :)

hi, i am facing a bug while using this mod, when i set the production speed of crystalarium to 90%, usually i will get minerals in just 10 minutes, but sometimes the mod doesn't work properly. causing the production to take 1-2 days. i have been using the latest version of stardew and have all the Requirements mods installed. what should i do ?

      Hi there!

There shouldn't be anything wrong with the 99% setting in particular, I use it a lot for testing purposes.

Is there a specific gem that's having the issue? Or is there anything specific you remember doing in game before this issue occurs?

And do you have any other mods that could affect the Crystalarium?

      Hi there!

If you followed the directions correctly, you should have Content Patcher, Generic Mod Config Menu, and the Combat Made Easy Suite mods in your mods folder. There'll be a cog wheel on the Stardew home screen where you can select Combat Made Easy Suite and adjust the settings. Generic Mod Config Menu is the mod that implements the cog wheel to adjust the settings. Make sure that mod is installed correctly!

Hi there! I am a huge fan of the fishing mod you made and now that I am in the skull caverns, relieved to see a combat suite equivalent, so thank you so much :)
Out of curiosity, would it be difficult to add settings for specifically the skull caverns? I don't want to OP/completely break the game, but it's been a source of incredible frustration and disheartening for me as a player who LOVES the mines/quarry.

Ever think of adding a Buff option for Napalm Ring? As recently I find it has been nerfed compared to before the update and a bit upset about it.

      Hi there!

That currently won't be possible right now for this mod since the Napalm Ring effect is hardcoded. Which this mod really only affects anything that isn't hardcoded. But as of 1.6, a lot of Stardew's data was dehardcoded, so it's possible ring effects will be too in the future. When that happens, I'll be added my own touches and configurations for them :)
