This is awesome! I played the original mod last year and had thought about the same thing, great storyline that just needed another translation pass. Thank you so much for doing so!
Mods that simply add new events to the game without editing existing events tend to be compatible. One mod or the other might take priority and overwrite some casual dialogue here and there, though.
And story wise it might not make sense. But, yeah, It's probably compatible.
