This sprite pack is for people who use Seasonal Characters - Slightly Cuter Aesthetic, it's not required for my Immersive Sebastian or Sam mods if you're playing vanilla sprites or using another sprite pack.
Hello, I'm new to mods and was just curious about this mod files, when I unzipped the mod there were two folders with almost the same files inside, I asumed the normal folder is the ''Maggs Seasonal Outfits patch'' and the difference is in a folder called ''_MACOSX'' that has the same original folder inside with the files names changed as ''._config.json'', is it okay for me to maintain that file there? as it seems to be for MAC only, I fear in my ignorance that file could affect my mod file in SV.
Oh this is a thing from creating the zip file on a Mac, next time I update this I'll make sure the file is clean. You can delete the ''_MACOSX'' folder, it's basically a duplicate and has no purpose.
Hi! The artist for DSV created custom sprites for my Immersive Sam mod, and he might be doing that for Sebastian for DSV Seasonal Outfits, however it is a lot of work and many hours so you would need to ask Airyn if that's possible. If it's art by another artist from the DSV team, you would need to ask them about creating a compatible patch. The Emo Sebastian sprites pack is fully compatible, but I'm not sure if that hits the style you're looking for.
I completely understand, it’s very time-consuming to create sprites. By the way, your mod is amazing, thank you! The Emo Sebastian sprites are also great—loved the pajamas, it’s a shame they can’t be used separately. I truly loved the sprites from Diverse Stardew Valley (DSV) Additional Characters - Romanceables, where Sebastian has a shaved side of his hair.
Thanks!! I may add different hair styles in the future, it's like a dress-up game or something. The artists from DSV own the art for their sprites/portraits without "use with credit" permissions, so I can't create a patch for that, Seasonal Outfits allows use with credits which gives some additional options for mod creators.
Hey G3ls0n, I have it on my to-do list to add compatibility between DSV and Immersive Sebastian at some point, but I can't promise it'll be soon, sorry! As Magg mentioned, it's a lot of time & effort, haha. The DSV add-on packs are also very low-priority compared to the main DSV pack, though I'm open to others updating their art to match the main packs and sending me the files.
Just knowing that it's on the to-do list, even if it takes some time, already makes me happy. The Immersive Sebastian storyline is amazing, and the DSV art… well, I don’t even need to say anything – I’m using it as my profile picture because I loved it so much. Thank you so much for the reply!
Hi! Would love to use the mod, but my current modpack I use is in SMAPI 4.0.8 and thus I don't have the right CP version to use this mod.. Is it possible you can still make this for an older version? Would love to see the sprites in the cutscenes ^^.
I can change the requirement to content patcher 2.3.0 for this pack since it's very basic code, but out of curiosity, my other mods are all set to 2.4.0 which is the latest version. Are you able to run those or are you using an older version of Immersive Sam or Seb? I'm fairly certain the mods will run on 2.3.0, but I always keep the latest version of CP when I load updates since that's what I use for testing.
I'll load an optional file for older CP versions today since the swap is very simple.
I'm also using a slightly older version of Immersive Sam as my CP is on 2.3.0, i did try using 2.0.7 but it just wouldn't work and thus I'm using 2.0.4 of the Immersive Sam mod. It's just that a lot of my other mods haven't updated to Stardew 1.6.9+ and I'm stuck on the older versions for now.
I'm fairly certain Sam will run on 2.3.0, I just didn't fully test on it. If you're feeling adventurous and want to update your copy, it's easy to switch the CP version. Just download the latest Immersive Sam file, then in the folder open the content.json and manifest .json files in Notebook or TextEdit. (just double click, it should option automatically.) At the very top of the content.json file, change "Format": "2.4.0", to "Format": "2.3.0", and in the manifest file, change "MinimumVersion": "2.4.0" to "MinimumVersion": "2.3.0" Save, and done. If you happen to see anything strange when playing events, then you'll need to go back to the older version, but odds are good it'll work fine. :)
Hiii! I absolutely love this mod, but i have one question. Are you thinkingabout creating a version with other seasonal clothing (like for Spirit's Eve, Luau etc.)? It would be great, cause i already use long hair Sebby portraits made by marusigh (in seasonal style) and it would fit perfectly. Thanks for all your hard work, you are one of my fave creators <333
This is really just a patch for the Immersive mods, but I'm actually working on a separate sprite mod that will have sprites in my own style and I'll be adding the festival variants (especially Spirit's Eve) to that. It will have two hair lengths, my variation of vanilla length and the long hair version (courtesy Owanora), along with my variation of the vanilla portrait with piercing overlays. It'll be usable alone or along with the Immersive mods or Seasonal Outfits mod, basically a full mod version of this patch. I hope to have that done in about a week, possibly sooner since a good part of it is already done.
Hi. The mod with the long hair is Long Hair Sebastian by silvermoonchan, right? Because yours doesn't add portraits and I don't know which one to download.
No, it was provided to me by the artist so is probably slightly different though there is only so much you can do with so few pixels 😁 If you want the long hair version but not the Seasonal Outfits for the other characters, you can download both this and Seasonal Outfits, then turn off the other characters in the Seasonal Outfits menu except Sebastian. Then in this mod, select the long hair option. That option does replace the base sprites with the long hair version, but it needs the other mod for the base file load.
The Long hair sebastian mod was made by me using the slightly cuter aesthetic mod as a base, i initially created them since i played with the Kit's Sebastian portrait mod. I might release the portraits that used Asari's portrait as a base at some point !
Hey Magg, so so stoked about the massive overhaul update for Sebastian and can't WAIT to play it! (I'm starting a new save for it lol)
I'm just a little confused on what to do with this patch. Where do I put it? do I just put drop it in the mods folder? Tysm for all ur brilliant work! :>

Also thank you so much for the optional file!
At the very top of the content.json file, change "Format": "2.4.0", to "Format": "2.3.0",
and in the manifest file, change "MinimumVersion": "2.4.0" to "MinimumVersion": "2.3.0"
Save, and done.
