Changelogs
Industrialization Redux is an "upgraded" version of Industrialization for PFM, which adds craftables machines that brings new ways to play in Stardew Valley. This version is fully functional with only Content Patcher, and adds a few QoL features, bug fixes, compatibility fixes and 3 new variants of a vanilla machine.

  • Adds 27 new machines and 10 new objects.
  • Most machines function the same as they did in original Industrialization mod. Only a few machines are changed. (See each machines info below for more)
  • Progress Mode: A new config option in config menu that makes farmers acquire crafting recipes or purchase them after meeting certain milestones instead of getting them right at the start. (Note that this still need a lot of improvements and your suggestions and feedbacks will be highly appreciated!)
  • For old users, you can migrate from JA-PFM version to Redux without losing anything, thanks to Content Patcher's Migrate Ids method.
  • Added configurable options for a few machines for QoL purposes.
  • Fixed a few bugs found in original mod page.

Here's a list of added machines and objects:

Spoiler:
Show
  • Consumes 5 clay and 1 coal to produce 1 brick, an essential in most of the machine crafting recipes. (This also means you need to craft this first)
  • Progress mode: After getting your furnace recipe from Clint and you have found 50 iron ores, you will be notified by mail when it's available for purchase. (This mail also unlocks other crafting recipes)

Spoiler:
Show
  • Function same as normal furnace, except electric furnace doesn't need coal and process two times faster. It can also smelt pulverized materials.
  • Progress mode: After getting your furnace recipe from Clint and you have found 50 iron ores, you will be notified by mail when it's available for purchase (This mail also unlocks other crafting recipes)

Spoiler:
Show
  • Unlike most furnaces, alternator electric furnaces only smelt pulverized materials. This machines is specifically crafted for automation processes (which includes pulverizer) since you basically get double the amount you would get from a normal electric furnace automation.
  • Progress mode: After getting your furnace recipe from Clint and you have found 50 iron ores, you will be notified by mail when it's available for purchase (This mail also unlocks other crafting recipes)

Spoiler:
Show
  • The electric furnace designed for late game automation. It smelts four times faster than normal furnace and produce two bars instead.
  • New configurable option: Added new option in config menu that makes chromium furnace only use pulverized materials like alternator electric furnace. Feels a bit cheaty but it's a nice QoL feature for automation process with pulverizers.
  • Progress mode: Clint will ask for help the day after you donate a prismatic shard to the museum. Help him and he will send you the recipe and one chromium furnace as bonus reward.

Spoiler:
Show
  • Pulverizes 5 ores into 2 pulverized materials, which can then be passed to electric furnaces to produce one bar each, effectively doubling the output. Also pulverizes 1 quartz into 2 pulverized quartz (6 if it's fire quartz) and a prismatic shard into 20 pulverized shards.
  • Progress mode: After getting your furnace recipe from Clint and you have found 50 iron ores, you will be notified by mail when it's available for purchase (This mail also unlocks other crafting recipes)

Spoiler:
Show
  • Crushes bars, refined quartz and prismatic shards to pulverized forms. Can also crush stones for a chance to get ores or... a gravel path.
  • Progress mode: Unlocked after reaching mining level 4.

Spoiler:
Show
  • Takes either 3 coals, 3 solar essence or 3 void essence to produce 1 battery pack, with the former taking the most time and the latter the least.
  • [Changed] No longer produce 3 battery packs from a solar essence and a void essence (This is due to CP limitations, I'm sorry!).
  • [New] Now also requires 1 coal as fuel.
  • Progress mode: After getting your furnace recipe from Clint and you have found 50 iron ores, you will be notified by mail when it's available for purchase (This mail also unlocks other crafting recipes)

Spoiler:
Show

  • Basically a powerful Keg. Takes 5 of the same item and process them two times faster than keg. They also retain the quality of the item added.
  • Progress mode: After reaching farming level 9, you will get a mail next day notifying when the sale's available.

Spoiler:
Show

  • Similar to industrial distillery, this act as a powerful Preserve Jar. It takes 5 of the same item and process them two time faster. They also retain the quality of the item added.
  • Progress mode: After reaching farming level 4, you will get a mail next day notifying when the sale's available.

Spoiler:
Show

  • Takes 48 crop seeds to produce the equal amount of crops. If the crop is multiyielding crop, it may also take that into consideration.
  • [New]: Now uses C# logic for machine processing. This means that all crops with seeds will now be automatically be supported by Garden Cloche. No need for compatibility patches!
  • [Changed]: Can no longer get instant results with fairy dust.
  • Progress mode: Ship 300 of the same crop (Yes, basically get monoculture achievement) and a mail will be sent to you the next day.

Spoiler:
Show

  • As the name implies, this is a powerful upgrade from normal garden cloche. It takes 480 seeds instead and also takes multiyielding crops into consideration. (However, it's recommended to not use multiyielding crops since you can only get 999 crops, losing you crops in the process. It is however very effective if you use single yield crops like starfruit, etc.)
  • [New]: Now uses C# logic for machine processing. This means that all crops with seeds will now be automatically be supported by Garden Cloche. No need for compatibility patches!
  • [Changed]: Can no longer get instant results with fairy dust.
  • Progress mode: Ship 777 of the same crop and a mail will be sent to you the next day.

Spoiler:
Show

  • Takes common wild tree seeds such as acorn, maple seed or pine seed and let them grow to obtain a large amount of wood.
  • [Changed]: Can no longer get instant results with fairy dust.
  • Progress mode: You will get a mail notifying when sale's available after reaching foraging level 4.

Spoiler:
Show

  • Takes coal for a chance to mine either stones, fiber or clay.
  • Progress mode: Unlocked reward after reaching level 3 in Mining.

Spoiler:
Show

  • Start working as soon as it's placed. Mines minerals and ores daily. Doesn't work indoors or while raining.
  • [Changed]: No longer requires a battery pack everytime it operates. In exchange, the output will now be chance based instead of being truly random like original mod. Open the spoiler to see the chances.
Spoiler:
Show

The machine will now roll chances for all items from list in order (from top to bottom) every day. The chances are as follows:
  • 16~32 Iridium ore ( 7% chance )
  • 2~10 magma geode ( 10% chance )
  • 2~4 earth crystal ( 10% chance )
  • 16~32 gold ore ( 15% chance )
  • 3~10 frozen geode ( 15% chance )
  • 1~3 frozen tear ( 15% chance )
  • 1~3 fire quartz ( 20% chance )
  • 24~48 iron ore ( 30% chance )
  • 5~10 geode ( 30% chance )
  • 3~6 quartz ( 40% chance )
  • 32~64 copper ore ( 60% chance )
  • 5~16 coal ( 85% chance )
  • 15~35 stone ( 100% chance )

When the day starts, the machine logic rolls if it can get the iridium ore (since it's the topmost one). If it rolls successfully, iridium ore amounting between 16 and 32 will be produced by the miner. If the roll fails, it continues to magma geode. If the rolls succeeds, you will get magma geodes instead. If not, it continues the procedure further down the list until it reaches the bottom, where you have 100% chance to get a random amount of stone.

  • Progress mode: Unlocked reward after reaching level 9 in Mining.

Spoiler:
Show

  • Washes minerals from mines into highest quality (iridium). Takes 8 in-game hours to complete (regardless of what mineral it is)
  • Progress mode: Donate 10 minerals and gems to Museum. A mail will be sent next day with the recipe included.

Spoiler:
Show

  • Polishes gems you've found to the highest quality (iridium). The time it takes to complete is calculated with following formula: Time taken in minutes = Price of gem * 3
  • [New]: Now uses C# logic for machine, the machine is compatible with every modded gems and will calculate the time taken based on the formula above.
  • Progress mode: Donate 15 minerals and gems to Museum. A mail will be sent next day with the recipe included.

Spoiler:
Show

  • Convert fiber to hay. Very useful if you need more hay during winter since fiber can be found anytime.
  • Progress mode: Received automatically via mail in autumn second week.

Spoiler:
Show

  • Basically reverse hay bin, converting hay to fiber. Could be useful if you want to grow some grass with extra hays during last days of winter.
  • Progress mode: Received automatically via mail in winter last week.

Spoiler:
Show

  • Converts 10 JojaCola to 1 battery pack.
  • Pierre has decided not to share the recipe with us unless we buy it! That means this is the recipe you have to buy even if you disabled progress mode.

Spoiler:
Show

  • [New] Three new upgrades of seed makers, iron seed maker, gold seed maker and iridium seed makers.
  • [New] New config options are added:
  • "Better Quality Seed Maker": checking this will make seed makers be affected by crop quality. Default disabled.
  • "Static Seed Output": checking this will make seed maker variants produce a static amount of seeds. Default enabled.
  • All seed maker variants take one crop like vanilla one. However:
  • Iron seed maker will provide you with 4 seeds (3~5 if "Static Seed Output" config option is disabled.)
  • Gold seed maker will provide you with 6 seeds (5~7 if config is disabled)
  • Iridium seed maker will provide you with 9 seeds (8~10 if config is disabled)
  • Progress mode: When you reach farming level 9, you will be sent a mail when you can purchase the recipes.

The following machines are added in 1.1.0 version:

Spoiler:
Show
  • A more powerful version of chromium furnace, like it's predecessors, this machine of a beast will take 5 times the input and output it at 4 times the speed.
  • Configurable option also affects chromium heavy furnace.
  • Progress mode: The recipe will sent some days after both heavy furnace and chromium furnace recipes are unlocked.

Spoiler:
Show

  • Upgraded version of vanilla Fish Smoker. Can smoke 5 fishes without the need of coal.
  • Progress mode: A mail will be sent a few days after reaching level 7 fishing.

Spoiler:
Show

  • Can be filled up to 20 baits (1, 5, 10, 15, 20). After a day, the fish catcher will catch a varying amount (based on bait amount) of fish native to that location. Whilethe catcher prioritizes fishes over trash items, you will still get trash items if you are trying to catch them in locations with no fishes (e.g. Farm).
  • Work with any location and any fish (Tested with RSV, ES etc). No need for compatibility patches!
  • Progress mode: A mail will be sent a few days after reaching level 7 fishing.

The following machines are added in 1.2.5:

Spoiler:
Show

  • An upgraded version of Cheese Press, allowing you to put up to 5x the usual milk and process them at twice the speed.
  • Progress mode: A mail will sent a few day after reaching level 8 farming.

Spoiler:
Show

  • An upgraded version of Mayonnaise Machine, allowing you to put up to 5x the usual eggs and process them at twice the speed.
  • Progress mode: A mail will sent a few day after reaching level 8 farming.

Objects
Spoiler:
Show

Spoiler:
Show

  • Made by adding 5 clay into a ceramic kiln.
  • Essential resource for most of the crafting recipes added by this mod.

Spoiler:
Show

  • Chromium is a mid-late game resource added to the game used in most of mid-late game machine recipes.
  • Since chromium can't be found naturally, it has to be hand made by combining various minerals into chromium compound, which is then smelt in electric furnaces to produce chromium bars.
  • Progress mode: Unlocked at the same time you get Chromium Furnace recipe from Clint.

Spoiler:
Show

  • Pulverized materials are obtained by either pulverizing ores/materials inside Pulverizer or crushing bars back to their respective pulverized form via Rock Crusher
  • Pulverized ores can be smelt into bars. And since two pulverized ores are produced in that process, you basically get two times more than you would from a normal ore smelting process.

Before anything else, make sure you've installed Content Patcher and SMAPI latest versions.
  • If you have Industrialization for PFM installed, please delete the mod first!
  • Download and extract the mod.
  • Place the extracted mod in your Mods folder inside Stardew Valley folder. If you are updating, please make sure to delete the old version before installing new one!

  • Compatible with Automate and is recommended to use with this mod!
  • Compatible with crop mods, at least mods that adds crops via Content Patcher (I've tested Cornucorpia mods and they all work as intended)
  • Should be compatible with mods that adds gems and minerals, I haven't done a testing on this part since I'm not familiar with mods that add new gems or materials (except MARGO, which doesn't yet work for 1.6)
  • Not technically compatible with original Industrialization for PFM mod, Redux version has migration code added via Content Patcher so you won't lose your machines on existing 1.5 saves!

  • If you have any feedback or suggestion regarding any of the element in this mod, please feel free to leave a comment! I would love feedbacks on new mechanics and options that weren't in original mod, such as Progress Mode, recipe prices, recipe obtaining methods, machine prices, etc.
  • For new stuff suggestions, I won't be able to add everything into the game but I'll make sure to read them and try to implement them if possible!
  • Encountered bugs? Please let us know in the Bugs section with the description of the bug, your log link and how to reproduce the bug (if it can happen mutliple times)

  • DraLUSAD for original Industrialization mod
  • kazuakisama for PFM version of Industrialization mod and giving me permission to "update" the mod.
  • Also thanks to elaseolvidah for their mod PFM-JA Upgraded Seed Makers, I've basically imported those machines to Redux since theh have great synergies with machines from the mod.
