I think your latest version uses deprecated file structures to search for the SVE mods to overwrite the portrait files. I don't know how to fix it, but I thought I'd let you know!

Oh yes I have the same issue here too whit the "[Content Patcher] Can't apply image patch "(CP) Furry Stardew Valley Expanded > EditImage Mods/FlashShifter.StardewValleyExpandedCP/SVE_Portraits #1" to Mods/FlashShifter.StardewValleyExpandedCP/SVE_Portraits: the FromFile file 'assets\SVE_Portraits.png' doesn't exist." when playing yesterday
  2. Is there a way to change only some NPCs while keeping others vanilla?

PSA if using the Stardew Valley VERY Expanded mod collection:

It is compatible, with one caveat: two of the included Seasonal mods can cause problems.

Specifically, there are three seasonal characters/outfits mods included in the collection:

Of these, the first is incompatible with Furry Stardew Valley Expanded Continued. If you install the collection, you'll have to disable it. You'll also have to find the collection's entry in the mod list and remove its rule that lists the seasonal mod as required (make the Dependencies column
visible and click on the icon for the "Stardew Valley VERY Expanded" entry).

If you're also playing with Anthro Characters Continued, then you'll have to do the same for the second entry in the list above.

The seasonal mod for East Scarp can stay; it doesn't conflict with either furry mod (nor Furry Farmer for that matter) and as far as I've seen there are no furry mods specifically for East Scarp so far.

Which should i use, 1.4 or 1.5? Also i have this error i dont know what means.
    - (CP) Furry Stardew Valley Expanded 1.1.4 because it requires mods which aren't installed (FlashShifter.StardewValleyExpandedCP).

You should use 1.1.5 - I've fixed that it listed 1.1.4 as the main version.
That error is saying that you don't have Stardew Valley Expanded. Make sure SVE didn't show any errors loading in the SMAPI window

Marlon still shows as human about 60% of the time for me, generally in event scenes added by other mods. Is there a way I can go about fixing this?

If the scenes are added by other mods, I'm not sure. If they modify the sprite sheet, stuff will be broken either way. If they implement a separate Marlon sprite to avoid compatibility issues, that would need a specific compatibility patch. You can try editing the manifest.json file to add that mod as an optional dependency (copy one of the existing dependencies, but change the UniqueID to the other mod, and set IsRequired to false)

First, thank you so much for working on this, I love this mod so much.

    Second, the problems:

    • There's a decor item called "Magnus Portrait", added by SVE, which is a painting depicting, well, Magnus but in human form
    • The day after seeing the first part of Sophia's 7 hearts event, Scarlett was in the vineyard but her portrait was human

Confirmed the portrait issue, and it affects all the SVE dateable character portraits. Working on fixing it

Sorry I've been away, been busy will real life stuff. I'm returning to SDV, and will be looking into the bugs people have reported

I've fixed version 1.1.4 being the main version instead of 1.1.5, which should help avoid some confusion. If you are still on 1.1.4, make sure you've updated. I hope to have a new version with the missing sprites from SVE's updates included

SVE updated, in case you weren't aware. Dunno if new portraits are needed.

Also, some cutscenes (Claire heart events, Morris scenes on the Joja route) occasionally (but consistently across saves) load the vanilla overworld sprites.

Speaking of portraits, Sophia's portraits keep switching back to human in her cutscenes but I'm not seeing this issue mentioned by anyone before this, so I think the new SVE update might've broken her.
Haven't noticed it on anyone else, though.

I've also encountered issues with Claire's vanilla overworld sprites loading (Claire's six heart event for example)
Pretty much the same issues as you.
