The Solstheim map seems to work just fine overwriting Duncan's Paper Map version (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/55025) as well

I initially based on that iirc, but it had issues with alignment and background transparency.

this is a Marked Old Map with Volkihar, compressed to 130 MB. not perfect, but fine.

I'm having a strange issue with Solstheim flat paper maps, and as much as I like the maps, this issue is why I've uninstalled the entire framework twice now. I hoped your map would not have that issue, but it does. So far, Solstheim is the only place this happens, but it makes the map effectively unusable. However, since it happens with all the maps for the island I've tried, I suspect it is something else causing it, even though I've gone with the minimum FWMF that I could this time, that is, maps only, no fancy extras at all.
The issue is that when I pull up the Solstheim map, the map is very small, and the icons for the various locations are placed as though the map was hugely zoomed in, beyond what you could normally. This results in nothing at all being where it should be, and is very disconcerting. It's as if the map was drawn on a normal 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper, and the icons were made on a clear overlay sheet the same size, but then the map was shrunk to the size of a playing card with the icons left at the original 8 1/2 x 11 placement.
I have no idea how to fix this, and so far it is only with the Solstheim map. Any suggestions you may have would be very much appreciated.

Definitely some mod incompatibility, or Solstheim meshes not overwritten correctly.

very good job! absolute precision of Tim's maps not really needed for most. anyway, yours is pretty accurate. I compared it with satellite one, seems great:

I've also checked labels, all good. well, maybe Hirstaang forest isn't a thing in Skyrim years, but that's probably nitpicking. If you will need to add more labels or roads - here are some mats https://drive.google.com/file/d/1b9jhKo6o6RGMDDpLMMlCeL3fLXgm9v5u/view.

again, thank you for your job, added to the list of standalone mods for FWMF.

Thanks for the comment and appreciation, as well as official inclusion!
The maps will come in handy for sure, especially the isles.

Yeah, I'm aware of Hirstaang, had a dilemma but decided to keep it. After all, there's still a bunch of trees.
Also had Isinfier Plains around Miraak Temple but removed it, as there are actually mountains there.

Initially did few more shortcuts, eg. behind the Temple, south of Skaal or between Thirsk and dragon mound but eventually removed them as they don't seem to look much like clear paths in game.
Also wasn't sure to keep the paths cutting through water on the east shore since they look kinda out of style, but they're rather useful.

I'm not content with my topography around lake and rivers, it doesn't really match the actual heights, but not a big deal.
