About this mod

This uses BOS to replace all campfires with campfires from Campfire.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
Now every campsite will use the base campfire from Campfire . That means you can cook and access Skills of the Wild at every campsite.

  • Improves immersion: No lit unattended fires in the woods or on a hill on the freezing coast.
  • Feels much more realistic coming across an abandon campsite and getting a fire going for yourself to cook and rest at. Rather than finding a roaring fire in the middle of nowhere you can't interact with at all.
  • You no longer need to rely on cooking powers, as you can cook at every campsite.
  • NPCs at campsites will still sit around the unlit fireplace waiting someone to come along and get a nice crackling fire going.

I found myself never upgrading my Skills of The Wild or using it at all, because I wasn't making campfires, but no more.

----------------------------------------

WARNING: Fires will de-spawn 24 hours after you use it for the first time. I just rebuild them if I revisit a place twice, so it's not a big deal for me. That may bother some, but I find it is still worth it for me to have the added functionality.

Attached to the campfire_base is a script called CampCampfire that controls all the logic for the campfire. In this script is the bool variable
Setting_DisableAgeOut auto
* DESCRIPTION
* Optional: If true, this campfire will not "age out" (delete itself) from the world after 24 hours.

I wanted to set this variable to true, recompile, and add it to the mod so the campfires would not disappear, however I was unable to recompile the .psc without a bunch of errors. If someone knows how, help would be appreciated.

There are more settings in that script for the fire level, so it would be possible to create fire that is always on and swap that anywhere there are people. But without knowing how to edit and recompile the script, I have hit a wall.
