If you like my mods and want to support me, feel free to visit my Patreon. Even if you're not donating you can still download my next project beta for free and try it out before it's even released. Supporting existing mods and working on new ones as well is really time consuming so any kind of support is highly appreciated.

Impoverished Whiterun is a ground and terrain overhaul for Whiterun inner city greatly inspired by Surjamte excellent work on Capital Whiterun Expansion. Lower district of the town is now dirtier and covered with wood planks when the higher district is still covered with fancy cobblestones (especially if you're using Winedave's Illustrious Whiterun excellent floors - and no I didn't get paid to say that ^ ^').

I like Surjamte original concept a lot but adding generic wood planks over cobblestones didn't make much sense to me so I replaced most cobblestones from the lower districts with actual dirt. At least where it made sense. Market place gets some fanciness back but the Companions training yard is now full of dirt instead.

Wood planks have also been cleaned and improved, I made 3 distinct models so it doesn't seem quite repetitive, I made them thinner and less sharp. I tried to add some where it makes sense without bloating the whole place with solid Viking wood, a bit of hays and flat shrubs have also been added here and there.

- Tagged ESL plugin that doesn't count toward the plugin limit.
- Lightweight mod, as compatible as possible.
- New custom and improved assets to replace the ones used in Capital Whiterun. Wood planks from Capital Whiterun were a big bugged and not much 3D so I cleaned those meshes, made custom various versions so the whole pattern isn't too repetitive and bevelled them so they're a bit less sharp.
- I'm relying on all terrain meshes I'm already using in Lux Orbis, so they're all compatible with lighting mods.
- I'm not uploading any texture, final look may depend only on the textures you're already using. I greatly recommend Winedave's Illustrious Whiterun alt floor for the cobblestone and Pfuscher's alt Dirt textures that really look great there. I'm relying on Dirtpath textures, not Dirt01 nor Dirt02.

Impoverished Whiterun is made for any kind of Whiterun, I made a specific version for Capital Whiterun though cause it was an improvement over Capital Whiterun's work at first and the new districts needed some tweaks as well.
Thus there are two versions, one for non Capital Whiterun users and one for Capital Whiterun users.

Download, install. Let my meshes overwrite any conflicting ones or you may get randomly placed dirt since I'm relying on texture sets.

It should be compatible as compatible as possible cause mods are rarely editing the ground.
It's not compatible with my other upcoming mod, GG's Capital JK's Whiterun, cause everything I did here is coming from that mod. Let's say that this new mod is a way more complete version but also has more requirements since it's a combo patch to start with.

I don't mind anyone porting the mod to console as long as I'm properly credited of course.

Bethesda, obviously
Surjamte's excellent Capital Whiterun Expansion for the original concept
Pfuscher for the awesome dirt path texture
Quixel for the weathered wood
