It looks like version 1.6 broke the volume adjustment for me. In version 1.5 (volume adjustment working), the MNAM value was "Defined Speaker Output" in SOMMono01400Player3rd.
In version 1.6, the MNAM value is now "Uses HRTF". I don't know the difference between the two. But with HRTF, my channel output changes for Channel 0 don't seem to work anymore.
If I change "Uses HRTF" back to "Defined Speaker Output" in SSEEdit in version 1.6, the volume adjustment works again.
Yeah. I foud something out. It wasn't my mod that broke some audio with mounting horse. that is why i "fixed" it in the first place. It was this mod that broke the audio. Really.
However (there's always one of those isn't there ;) ), for users who have more than one player instance, once a voice has been assigned in any player instance, ALL player instances use that voice.
Hoping that you might consider changing/updating the mod so voice assignments are unique to a save or a player name.
...a gross example of the issue would be a person who has both female and male player instances on their computer. Currently, if you choose a male voice (for your male player instance), when you open the female player instance (different game no gender switching involved) she has the same voice previously assigned to the male. (and visa versa if you assigned the female, the next time you open the male player instance, no matter that you assigned a male voice prior for him, he will now have the female voice chosen when you were assigning for the female)
Only a couple records are changed to NPC volumes and one player volume if I remember correctly. Having NPC enhancer after completely negates part of your mod volumes for player but enhances the NPC very loudly - when compared to player. Then the opposite happens with your mod loaded after NPC enhancer.
It also adds its own adjustments outside of your mod. I took a quick look in xEdit, but I am not well versed with these audio portions to know if it is needed.
Thanks for the instructions. I use the surround plugin, lowered the center value, but the voice is still as loud as before. The plugin overwrites both Skyrim and Audio Overhaul for Skyrim in SSEEdit.
What could be a possible reason that the change doesn't affect the volume??
Nope. According to SSEEdit, your plugin overwrites both Skyrim and Audio Overhaul for Skyrim.
In an older version of DBVO (I think it was 0.0.7), there was an audio slider for the player's voice. This was working fine. But maybe it was a different mechanism.
I have finally found out what the problem is: editing the volume and reverb in the surround plugin replacer works fine when the dialog happens in 1st person camera.
I am using the vampire DBVO pack and my character is way too quiet. However, I tried upping the value over 100 and it doesn't seem to make any difference with the volume. Do you have any recommendations for what I should do to increase volume?
I don't think anything is overriding besides the Bash Patch and I'm still having a very hard time hearing my character. I'm not really certain where to go from here. Are Wrye Bash patches known to cause issues with this?
Hi, sorry to jump into this, but I have a question. I'm trying to raise the volume of a dbvo pack but when I open XEdit I don't see the "Sound Output Model" option. Do you know why? thanks in advance.
Edit: Please ignore the comment, I already figured it out.
Which values do I have to edit to reduce the reverb for the player spoken lines to nearly 0 ? NPCs sound good with my modsetup, but my player char is echoing all over the place where NPCs doesn't.
Hi, this mod works for me as i liked it, but i have only 1 problem after use this mods using Nordic UI the dialogue font become black and not align as i used before..
yeah, same problem and seems to be too low volume too. in the esp the volume is set to 100, I assume i cannot go over 100.. right? the voice volume slider in skyrim configuration it's already to the max.
i've installed all the mod you suggest and that you make a patch and all the recomandation found in these mod's page: Audio Overhaul for Skyrim Immersive Sounds - Compendium Audio Overhaul - Immersive Sounds Integration (AOS - ISC Compatibility Patch) Regional Sounds Expansion (SRD - Wilds Dungeons Towns Ambience - Fixes) Reverb Interior Sounds Expansion Acoustic Space Improvement Fixes and your patch for reverb
i have to uninstall: Binaural 3D Surround Sound for Headphones - HRTF and/or True 3D Sound for Headphones for incompatibility and CTD with Audio Overhaul for Skyrim and alternate start
now i dont know why, i have no reverb and the volume is more loud even if not at the best... i have lowered all other volume but is not an elegant solution... it just works...
no, Binaural 3D Surround Sound for Headphones - HRTF and True 3D Sound for Headphones are not compatible with the combo: Audio Overhaul for Skyrim + alternate start. with one of the 3d mod you have ctd... if you want Audio Overhaul for Skyrim + alternate start you need to unistall 3d audio mod
idk what is the culprit but those audio mod for me improve the audio generally
i have installed right now... i didn't notice big improvement.... but now the situation is accetable. my problem now is with localisation... i hope Mathiew (dbvo author) can make an update for that... but it's another story

I will revert the "fix" in an update ASAP.

I just did some channel tweaking and made sure the the mod works with Bashed Patch.
That is all
Would you consider a version that incorporates NPC Dialogue Audio Enhancer or at least a patch of sorts?
It also adds its own adjustments outside of your mod. I took a quick look in xEdit, but I am not well versed with these audio portions to know if it is needed.
I use the Ciri voice packs and the PC's voice is too loud compared to the NPC's voices for me.
Go in XEdit and lower value highlighted in blue.

It doesn't work in 3rd person camera for me (with Improved Alternate Conversation Camera). Is there a way to also make it work for 3rd person camera?
Edit: Please ignore the comment, I already figured it out.
NPCs sound good with my modsetup, but my player char is echoing all over the place where NPCs doesn't.
But you can try as long as you keep your save as backup.

My mod only alters Sound Output models.
You need to go to main DBVO page to get correct patch for font of use.
i didn't really get what this mod is meant for is it a fix of some kind can it help with my problem?
However, I'm still finding the Bella voice I use too echoey when indoors. Is there a way I can reduce the echo?
Thanks in advance for any help!
i've installed all the mod you suggest and that you make a patch and all the recomandation found in these mod's page:
Audio Overhaul for Skyrim
Immersive Sounds - Compendium

Regional Sounds Expansion (SRD - Wilds Dungeons Towns Ambience - Fixes)

Acoustic Space Improvement Fixes
and your patch for reverb
i have to uninstall:
Binaural 3D Surround Sound for Headphones - HRTF
and/or
True 3D Sound for Headphones
for incompatibility and CTD with Audio Overhaul for Skyrim and alternate start

i have lowered all other volume but is not an elegant solution... it just works...
and/or
True 3D Sound for Headphones
So that was the cultrip?
