If people are interested, they can load them in this order and have snowy regular cathedral mountain flowers and yours in non-snowy places with no area edits (no patches needed). They will get each flower color covered as well as appropriate snowy coverage.
If they get super creative they can swap in your multiple blues and reds and purples with the columbine and the other columbine retextures out there for an endless conflict free variety of blossoms!
Thanks for such an amazing mod, I really like the look of these flowers and the idea of diversity among mountain flowers! I would like to ask if you have the opportunity to release a version with less bright green foliage?
Thank you for your magnificent work. Admiring the flowers, I now have 4 types of mountain flowers completely different. Is it possible to do a frosted version on this flower? Where there is snow, it is sorely missed.
I've had a couple request for it, but I'm struggling with what route to go with in terms of realism - fireweed is a vascular plant that completely dies off in winter; so realistically it shouldn't be in snow at all. If you load Chamerion after Cathedral 3D Mountain Flowers, you'll get fireweed in the south and frosty columbines in the northern snow, which is a decent compromize.
I'm also thinking of making another mod(s) of flowers exclusively for snowy areas, such as evergreens and plants that bloom early enough in spring/late enough in fall that they sometimes see snowfall. For example, you'd have Chamerion for green areas of Skyrim and frosty Pulsatilla vulgaris or P. patens where it snows.
Is that rosebay willowherb? You're doing some very realistic flora replacer pal, keep it up EDIT: I hadn't kept up with the change in taxonomy, when I learned the name they still went by Epilobium augustifolium.
Finally, some plants that are botanically correct for the area, you would find these plants in N Europe, and this is why they look so damn good in game. I already use other Chamerion models in my grass mods, but these work better. Really good job. Just an idea, when high summer hits, take some pics in seed and use those as summer/autumn replacers - also, you could make some isolated seed textures and use them as replacers for the dandelion seed camera fx attached effect. Could make this a seasonal thing!
btw, these are so realistic, seeing them in game, mixed with the wild grass, your plants feel like invasive weeds, which is PERFECT!
Ohh, tying them in to Seasons of Skyrim could be neat! Unfortunately C. angustifolium can't grow where I live, and I didn't see images of the plant in seed while making this model (people tend to photograph flowers when they look prettiest, haha). If you ever happen to take such pictures yourself, though, let me know and I'll happily incorporate them!
By the way, this is the best mountain flower replacer I have seen so far! Are you planning to do more Chamerion / Epilobium? I think Chamerion latifolium would be a really good base for one of the mountain flowers too.
A very nice work - I love this creation, but could you also make an snowy addon, please? This would be in the destrict direct near Windhelm a bit more better looked.
I just want to say that in game its so much better than on your screenshots)))It is perfectly fit in my color gamma! Maybe because i use enb and etc.. First time i passed by..but saw some comments and try it ingame) Very good work! Do you have plans to add animation to this?
Amazing! They look so natural. I use Nature of the Wild Lands for the natural look and these add so much. Endorsed and voted. I'd love to see mass plantings/stands of them in the tundra areas. (Whiterun valley, the road to Dragonbridge, 12-36 plants in a group). I saw a photo of bison moving through a field of fireweed, now I'm picturing mammoths...
